Can I enable my App for AirPlay? - objective-c

If I create my own custom Application for iOS (XCode/Objective-C), can I make it support AirPlay and beam scren content of my choice to an Apple TV?
What APIs/Function Calls am I looking for?

The idea behind the AirPlay support is to play the video content from your app.
If you're a registered iOS Developer, you will be able to find the documentation and examples at the iOS 4 beta section after you login. As this is still a beta release for 4.3 version, documentation is under confidential agreement.
It's pretty much easy and straightforward. You should start looking by MPMoviePlayerController.

Does Sencha Touch 2.0 support access to the Microphone (on mobile phones) in their Tools SDK?

Sencha Touch's Tools SDK support wrapping your HTML5+JS+CSS3 into a native app (I assume in somewhat a similar manner to PhoneGap). It provides some limited access to mobile features like the camera. But I can't find out:
Does it support access to the microphone on the phone?
I was just gonna say no, but I think it would be too short

You need to use PhoneGap/Cordova
Hope this helps

iOS: Open Settings app Programmatically as Youtube app does

As we know Apple disabled this feature in iOS 5.1 and later:
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"prefs://"]];
that allowed users launch for ex Settings app from any apps.
I'm wondering how YouTube iPhone app does it? Because it can still launch Settings app from it's application with iOS 5.1 and later.
Maybe there is no solution but, I just wondering about the way, YouTube app developer found :))
The YouTube app developer is Apple. They're not subject to the same rules as the rest of us.
Updated since someone kindly downvoted this four-year-old answer and brought it to my attention: you can now do this by opening a URL made from the UIApplicationOpenSettingsURLString string constant.
I don't really get a response for this question but can bring an argument to the discussion.
The RunKeeper app is able to launch the iphone pref app on iOS 6.1. I don't know how it makes that but you can verify by disabling the iPhone GPS location service and then go to the RunKeeeper. Sometimes, the app is able to allow you launching the iPhone Pref app by a Settings button in an alert view.
I don't think the RunKeeper developers have specific privileges from Apple.

iUI Framework vs. Cocoa Touch

I am building an app that will take most of its content from Facebook i.e. photos, personal info, etc.
I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on which framework would be the most suitable, iUI or Cocoa Touch? What sort of apps would be suitable for the iUI framework and what apps are more suitable using the standard Cocoa Touch?
Native apps run quickly, can be used offline and can make use of more of the device's hardware.
Web apps are more portable (you could make them available on Android as well, for example) and don't have to be vetted for inclusion in the app store.

Getting info on other apps via Objective-C

Is it possible via objective-c to find information (such as the names) for other apps installed on an iPhone from my app?
If you mean a "legal" way to do this and get the app in the AppStore, then no, Apple does not provide such an API. And they probably never will, because this will go against the users' privacy.
