I'm converting a Sharepoint 2007 installation to Sharepoint 2010. In 2010 each Web Part has an arrow in right side of the menu bar that only displays on mouse hover. How can I make that arrow always display? I've tried adding this to my custom CSS:

The visibility set by corev4.css is hidden, but when I change it to visible in my CSS I still only see the image on mouse hover. Is there some JavaScript that is controlling this action? If so, where is it and can I override it? If not, how is this arrow showing and hiding?
You should check your priority of CSS imports and make sure your custom CSS is actually being applied because the code you have is correct. I was able to verify that on a standard page, adding a webpart did not show the drop-down arrow. When I then added in your code (and actually I didn't need the !important) then the arrows were shown by default. There was no JavaScript getting in the way, it was all controlled by CSS. So the problem may be somewhere else in your code.
One thing to be aware of is that there are two ways to display webparts: with the checkbox to the right of the arrow and without. That means that the arrows will not line up vertically on the page if you have them visible by default. This may be why Microsoft chose to hide them (although it also looks cleaner in the 2010 way).

I am working on a Javascript Based site, which uses the Dojo Framework.
I am using a DataPicker. I wish to change the background color of the datePicker, and hence I wish to look at where in the CSS is the color being set, so that I can override it in my CSS.
Usually I use FireBug and 'Inspect Element in FireBug' to view the HTML and CSS together. (or even Google Chrome's developer tools)
However this datepicker is a dynamically created component, and If I right click, or move my mouse into the Firebug window, the date picker is shutdown/destroyed. (You can check out the sample on the linked page itself)
Is there a way to inspect the CSS on these kinds of dynamic elements, using Firebug, or something else?
The best approach I've found for the dijit popup widgets is (using chrome)
Open the popup (in this case the date picker)
Right click on the element
Select "Inspect Element" from context menu
Chrome will open and transfer focus to the developer tools without blurring the focus of the page, keeping the popup open, allowing you to modify attributes and css rules and getting instant feedback.
Is there a reason / fix for this weird designer issue (at least, I think it's related to the designer), whereby the controls on the form do not appear as they do in the design window when I debug the application..!

You can clearly see that some of the buttons have moved position on the form.
Note: At first glance, this may appear like a duplicate of: Windows Forms Designer destroys form layout. However, I have not installed any additional tools or components. This is simply a standard "vanilla" build of Visual Studio 2012 on Windows 7 32-bit.
I've also come across this question: UI Controls Overlapping & Fonts Issue in Windows Forms Application. However, I am not using "large fonts", nor am I using any non-standard fonts on my controls (all label and button text is left as default). Still, I can see how this would affect the control positions and will do some more checks in this area.
There's nothing happening within the form's Load method.
I'm also using TFS 2012.
What could be causing this? Is there anything I can do to fix it?
EDIT: I've removed the font property for each label and button control, allowing the system to set the default value. Still no change. Interestingly, if I open the form in design mode, then save it, then close it, then open it again, the buttons have moved... If I do this a few times, the buttons migrate until they're off the form.
OK, I've found the answer, after a bit more fiddling. It seems to be related to the Anchor property on the controls. I made a bunch of changes, testing between each change to see if there was any difference. When I selected all the controls and set the Anchor property to Top, Left, this solved the issue.
I hope this helps someone else at some point!
When I click on buttons in the menu bar (such as "About Program") when the program is running a new window pops up displaying information. How do I edit the windows associated with the buttons?
In Interface builder I manage to load "Main Menu" which allows me to customize the menu bar, but it doesn't allow me to work with the windows associated with the buttons. How would I edit these windows?

EDIT: I am not specifically asking for steps for the "About Panel". I am looking for a general procedure for editing panels associated with buttons in the menu bar. In addition to the "About" panel I would also want to work with panels such as the "Help" panel. The "About" panel was just an example.
The standard About panel isn't in your nib; it's generated within the framework.
You can change the text of the panel by writing a Credits.rtf or Credits.html file and including that in your app bundle. (You may already have Credits.rtf supplied by the project template. If so, you should just edit that.)
If you want to make more radical changes, you'll need to create your own panel and change your About menu item to show it instead.
As far as a general procedure...no, there's no single procedure that would let you customize any standard panel in the same way. They all have their own mechanisms (e.g. some can display more panes when plug-in components are installed; some provide APIs to hide or show certain parts; some, like the About box, use bundle filename conventions to decide what to do).
For the Help panel specifically...you can't change anything about it except the web page (i.e. the help content). The toolbar, etc. is all handled by Apple. I suggest looking at this documentation for more, which also links to other important documents:

I am making a webpage that has different areas that can be clicked on to change the contents.
I want to set it up so that when you click on an area, an openWYSIWYG editor appears in the middle of the screen with the rest of the page greyed out.
I have achieved this except for the positioning of the editor. When you click on a section I have a div with 50% opacity cover the page and a textarea appear in the middle. But when I try to attach the editor to the textarea, it loses it's position and falls behind the div not in front of it like the textarea is.
Can anyone suggest a way of centring the openWYSIWYG editor?
You're looking for Modal positioning. Here's one solution:

Basically, apply the Jquery Dialog to the div that holds your WYSIWYG. Don't forget a submit button.
Just a quick heads up--I went through quite a bit of headache dealing with WYSIWYG editors for client-facing sites a few months back. It seems that clicking the "paste from WORD" button was a very difficult task to figure out. Word-pasted code can wreak havoc on websites, overrunning text fields in the database. I gave it a try on their demo (which also doesn't support webkit based browsers) and the result wasn't pretty. The only two options I found to solve this were to sanitize code on the back end, or to use CKEditor. I chose the latter because it was so easy. Take a look at CK, it's a great piece of free code.
Is there a means to duplicate the toolbar so it shows at the top and bottom of the report page? It can be a pain on long reports to scroll up to the top of the page in order to use various functions.
In my searching, I found this link about extending the ReportViewer control. Has anyone worked with it?
It is extremely easy to recreate the toolbar. I would recommend creating a custom toolbar, and placing it twice, where desired.
All the report functions can be called with ReportViewer.Function() calls.
You will need to handle Pagination, printing, export file.
