Transition from one page to another in Silverlight - silverlight-4.0

While using Silverlight, if you have a lot of pages, what are the techniques that can be used for transition from one page to another.
Basically, I want to create a MainPage that would have different sections, let's say TopLeft, TopRight, BottomRight, MainArea. These different sections will load different pages with a transition.
Edit> I think the question was not as clear at it could have been... I want to get an "effect" while another page loads in the same area. Something like "slide in", "slide out", etc.
Any suggestions?

Check the Fluid Layout

You could use the deep linking mechanism in Silverlight which is based on the hash part of the URL (#) to perform navigation without reloading the hosting page.

Xamarin - How to view rendered Xaml

Our team is working on an effort to improve the accessibility of our mobile application developed with Xamarin. One area we're having trouble tackling is Focus Path (i.e. tab order). Research examples suggest that the focus path should naturally be top down if the layout is created correctly. However, the examples are often simple and not real-world with respect to complex layouts and navigation (or whatever Marketing dreams up). We have several re-usable 'controls' and templates the get injected as part of the layout like main navigation, search, etc. The focus path, or tab order, is all over the place.
Tools that offer live preview/xaml edit only work against the opened xaml file which in many of our cases is just part of the overall xaml that makes up the screen.
Looking for a way to view 'rendered xaml' that makes a up a given screen in a xamarin mobile app. We need to see the final xaml that includes all of the dynamic controls, templates, etc. that get mashed together. This may help us understand what's happening to our focus path.
EDIT: we've found that forcing/setting tabindex does not help.
Is there such a tool or process?
I was using https://www.livexaml.com/ for such a purpose.

For Page Object Pattern, when designing the page objects in Selenium, how do you handle multiple modals correctly?

Let me further explain.
You have a page where an application lives. However, upon first login, the user is prompted with a welcome screen that loads in the center of the browser. Like a pop-up from the application. This welcome screen is to help the user get familiar with the app. You can move on through the screens by reading the information and clicking the Continue button. After several of these pop-ups, the application will now be available for testing.
So how would I handle this in the Page Object Pattern using Selenium. Should I have a main page that just has functionality to navigate through these modals? Or should the main page return objects that represent each of the individual modals? Or should each modal be a separate page that I interact with?
Basically, I can think of several options:
ApplicationPage.Modal1.Continue();
or
Modal1.Continue();
Modal2.Continue();
or
ApplicationPage.ContinueThroughModal1();
or
ModalPage.Continue1();
ModalPage.Continue2();
I prefer to look at pages as collection of services. So
should the main page return objects that represent each of the individual modals?
PageObject helps you to improve the maintenance and reduces code duplication. So you can use it as an interface to a page of your AUT.
should each modal be a separate page that I interact with?
I would say - yes. If some future change occurs (in any modal), your PageObj will handle it without changing the test itself. Why not introduce a IModalPopup with Continue() method which will handle the skipping that your tests need. Further more in your MainPage class you can keep a ICollection<IModalPopup> welcomeScreens and iterate those.
Aiming at a full answer here - there is no need to actually go through this
welcome screen that loads in the center of the browser.
Once is enough. Every other test can utilize URL navigation over crawling each middle page. Single test that covers your end-user journey (by clicking required buttons/links) should be sufficient.

Different hidden content for mobile - SEO?

I have created two different layouts (with bootstrap) on the same page. One for mobile, one for desktop. Website has different pages with complex structure. Some of blocks should be visible only in desktop and vice-versa.
Here is an example page: (other pages are different, but has the same problems)
Title A, Title N... are links, they:
On desktop: sets content to top block "Text content A" from hidden
red area.
On mobile: just scrolls down to corresponding content.
There is no problems, everything works. But...
I am afraid that website will be blacklisted by Google.
There are too much hidden content - images, links (visible-xs and
etc.)
Content even placed outside the div with overflow:hidden;
Yes, it will be easier to put content on page and just let user scroll on desktop and mobile versions without any hidden content and popovers, but this website needs to be created as designed.
Now i have two different ideas to avoid problems with SEO.
Just create different mobile theme on subdomain.
Use one responsive layout for both desktop and mobile, but avoid hiding content via css - instead hide unnecessary content with jQuery and load additional content with Ajax. (I prefer this but it looks strange)
So, how you usually solve similar tasks?
There are no any problem.Don't worry!
It is natural.Google can crawl both mobile and desktop elements and can detect difference of hidden content from mobile view and desktop view.
Also any hidden contents have not problem for SEO.
Just hidden links and contents for Black-Hat purposes (for example cloaking) are bad for SEO.
So don't worry.Keep your hidden contents and stay in your current way.

In Refinery CMS, how can I change the template for the pages generated by the Inquiries extension?

I tried the simple approach: editing the Contact page in the admin interface and selecting my new template within the Advanced Options section. But the form does not get displayed.
I also generated the override views:
rake refinery:override view=refinery/inquiries/inquiries/*
But looking at the app\views\refinery\inquiries\inquiries\new.html.erb file, I did not see an obvious solution to this issue.
I found this issue on github but it does not offer much detail: https://github.com/refinery/refinerycms-inquiries/issues/45
I suspect a big part of the issue is that when I change the template setting under Advanced Options, it's changing the view from the default inquiries new.html.erb to one of the standard view options. The problem is inquires extension new view is not listed as an option.
The short answer here is: you can't.
In the course of struggling with this, I came to realize that in most cases you probably don't want to be switching layouts. Not in the casual manner that I was, anyway.
What I really wanted were alternate page views. The basic web page layout and styling can be fully modified through views.
Realizing this changed my objective. I didn't need to change the layout for the inquiry pages. I needed to match the inquiry page views to my default page view. I was able to do this by overriding the inquiries extension's new and thank-you views and editing those files so that the markup and styling matched that of my default page view.
Simple enough. The only downside is it's a bit un-DRY. If I were to alter my page view, I now would likely have to repeat the changes in those two views as well.

jQuery Animation

I am trying to recreate some effects similar to the div loading effects on this site i.e. there is no visible content when you load the page but upon clicking on a navigation link, it dynamically loads the divs.
http://worldofmerix.com
It is for a film studio website and I would like it to be interactive like this site. Does anyone know how I could achieve these effects with Javascript and/or jQuery?
Thanks for all the help in advance!
Have you used jQuery before or looked at the docs? This is really quite simple using jQuery's built-in animation effects such as fadeIn. The site you've linked to doesn't dynamically load the content - it's all part of the same page and simply displayed and hidden as appropriate.
Here's a rough fiddle showing how it works. Of course, you'd need to work out the styles and quirks in animations.
