CF - Check input and create directory (device or smart - compact-framework

In my CF application i have a textbox where user defines a directory.
I want to check if the input is valid and create the directory.
The path can be either on the device itself or on a storage card.
can some1 please help me with the correct solution?
thanx !

Validating is going to be up to you. There is a lot to it, including scraping for invalid chanacters, etc.
Creating the directory is pretty simple.
System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory("/MyDirectory");

How can I update the user password in Selenium-Grid-Extras?

Can anyone link me to a good Selenium-Grid-Extras guide? I have it installed, and need to customize it. Specifically, I need to update the credentials, and reboot settings. When I go to my link: http://XX.XX.XX.XX:3000/user_auto_logon, I can see the settings, but I don't know how to change them. Also, when I open my selenium_grid_extras_config.json I don't see a section that has any of this information to update. Also, even if I did find a section in the selenium_grid_extras_config.json, how would I update the password for the existing username... I'm sure it's not going to be displayed in plain text. Thanks in advance!
From Shawn McCarthy. This solved my problem:
If you want, you can just delete the selenium_grid_extras_config.json file, and rerun the jar file and it will go through the FirstTimeRunConfig again.
You should be able to pass in the username and password to the endpoint as well, http://XX.XX.XX.XX:3000/user_auto_logon?username=YOUR_USER&password=YOUR_PASSWORD
You can check out the /api endpoint to see all the possible endpoints, and the accepted parameters (and which ones are required or not). Usually with no parameters, it does a get current status/value.
Thanks Shawn!

Mac App Sandboxing- Updating files outside the sandbox

I have an Application for the Mac that I want to publish on in the app store.
I order to get it published I need to put in a sandbox.
The app access Sqlite files outside the sandbox which the user selects from a openpanel.
The App works fine when is performs a select but it fails on inserts and updates.
I can remember reading something about some function you could call that could give you write access to files outside the sandbox but for the life I can remember what is was Can anyone enlighten me ?

Add "com.apple.security.files.bookmarks.app-scope" with boolean value YES in entitlement file of your project. Add follow "With Sandboxing" section of this link --
http://cocoaintheshell.com/2012/09/saving-sandboxing/
When you resolve your URL, by using URLByResolvingBookmarkData: method, you will get the url something like this --
file://localhost/Users/XYZ/Downloads/MyAudio.mp3?applesecurityscope=353734653735396237656239646134396537363331633063393765356234363035353666326332393b30303030303030303b3030303034534534343030303032303b636f6d2e6170706c652e6170702d73616e64626f782e726561642d77726974653b30303030303030313b30313030303030323b303030303030303030303035633134613b2f75736572732f69706874656368322f646f776e6c6f616473

Joomla: Allowing a user to upload an image

Alright so I learned that to have an upload button on a page, what you do is basically call a php file (call is upload.php) that would upload a file to the server. I have no idea where I am supposed to put the php file inside the server so I can call it.
I feel stupid because I can't find any answers online. I am getting very frustrated and confused because I am told I need to create a database but I have no idea how to edit a database in Joomla. I took a class in SQL so I don't have to learn about that. I just don't know where it is. I was also told I need to make a component. But this is confusing because all I want to do is have an upload button that will upload an image to the server.
I understand your frustration. I've got the basic idea on what you are trying to do. Here are a couple of options:
You might wanna take a look at Joomla! Extensions Directory ™. You might just find there a component or a module that already does this for you.
If you want to do it on your own, than you need to create a small module or a component inside Joomla! Please refer to the Joomla! Documentation or tutorials on this topic. Please note that you won't get this working instantly, because you first need to understand how Joomla! works. So your upload.php file will go in your module / component files. I don't think you need to do any SQL.
Now the part with "allowing a user" is a bit confusing... you want to "allow" any user to upload things to your server or just let's say, registered users? Generally uploading scripts need to be very strong from the security point of view. If this is the case, that you need to do a search for Joomla! ACL
You can simply create a form and add the "media" field type.
http://docs.joomla.org/Standard_form_field_types
You can also opt for the "file" field types to allow different types of fields.
Both fields can be added using the Joomla Component Creator: http://www.notwebdesign.com/joomla-component-creator/
And you might also want to take a look at K2 which has an excellent image upload functionality that allows scaling of images into three different sizes.

Finding the path to a contacts image in Objective-C on the iPhone

I was wondering if there was someway to find the file path of a contacts image?
I'm familiar with the functions ABPersonCopyImageData and ABPersonCopyImageDataWithFormat.
Those don't return the actual path to the image though. I was wondering if this was even possible? Thanks!
It's probably not possible. Even if it were possible, it wouldn't matter, because your application only has access to the files in its own application sandbox. The address book is stored outside of your application's sandbox. So even if you had the path you couldn't access the file.

yii: serve a file when logged in

I have pdf files in a htaccess-protected directory that I want to show to some users in Yii application.
How is best to solve that? I understand it should be done inside Yii, not with a separate script as it needs to check if a valid user is logged in.
Access control filters
You would do your appropriate security checking (user is in group, or has permission or whatever) and then you would use readfile or something similar.
Do you have code already that isn't working? Or did you just need help with what approach to take?
Thanks!
I got some idea from this link:
http://harrybailey.com/2011/07/yii-rewrite-files-or-images-for-download-or-display/
In short: made a new actionfunction into controller and in that function sending headers and readfile.
