Based on the exception, it looks like ant could not connect(Connection refused) to your tomcat server.
Double check that tomcat has the manager webapp running and that ant is connecting with all of the correct information.
Tomcat, by default, does not have any manager web-app users enabled. You'll need to uncomment a user and give them a manager role in the tomcat-users.xml, found in $TOMCAT_HOME/conf.
That user, along with their password is then used by ant to connect to it.

Unable to connect to Redis Server when using apache beam sdk

So I have a dataflow job doing
p.apply(RedisIO.read()

So connection is not getting established with public redis endpoint. I am getting the same error when I am running through DirectRunner. Am i missing something here?
There is a known error in the Apache Beam source code for RedisIO where withEndpoint ignores the input host and will attempt to use localhost instead. Attempting to connect to a redis server on localhost when there is none will give the error you are seeing.
You can read more about the issue here, and see a pull request with a fix here.
Until that pull request gets merged you should be able to resolve the problem by implementing the change yourself by copying RedisIO.java into your project and changing
.setConnectionConfiguration(connectionConfiguration().withHost(host))
.setConnectionConfiguration(connectionConfiguration().withPort(port))
to
.setConnectionConfiguration(connectionConfiguration().withHost(host).withPort(port))
Note this same error occurs 3 times in RedisIO, once each for Read (line 168), ReadAll (line 233), and Write (line 365).

I installed weblogic 12.1.2 and changed the port from 7001 to 8081 through console and restarted the server.
However, when I deployed my application and ran it, I am getting the below exception.
I dont understand why the server is trying to access 7001, when the listner port is 8081. Can anyone help?

Is it possible that your application is accessing some application configuration you have on the server which is still pointing to the 7001 port?
You could look in the ${WL_HOME}/config/config.xml file to double check that the port has infact changed and then also do a 'netstat -an | grep LISTEN' (Linux Machine?) to see what is listening on which ports.
When you change port from admin console, changed port gets reflected in ${WL_HOME}/config/config.xml (atleast in my case it did), but this change is not reflected in start/stop scripts present in ${WL_HOME}/bin directory. For example:
setDomainEnv.sh
startManagedWebLogic.sh
startWebLogic.sh
stopManagedWebLogic.sh
stopWebLogic.sh
still contain old port. You will have to change search and change them manually.

Distributed Testing with Jmeter

I am using Jmeter 2.8 and trying to do distributed (master-slave) testing for the first time.
I setup everything fine
set Ip addresses in JMeter.properties
run Jmater-server.bat on all machines
but when I run test(a very simple request) it gets failed:
Request:

</userId><passwd><![CDATA[WillieWonka]]></passwd></credential>

While server is up and running (I tested this request running from localMachine only, It is working fine).
What is wrong?
What I am missing?
I have resolved this issue, replaced
localhost:8080
with
computerName:8080
and start application server via start.bat instead run.bat
now it is working fine.

If you want to change the domain's ports without starting glassfish, you can do this by editing the xml domain's config file
domainName/config/domain.xml
Hope this will help you.
Good Luck
You should probably start by finding out what process is using port 3700 and find out if you can kill it.
If you cannot kill that process, you can use asadmin's create-domain subcommand to create a new domain that does not use the 'standard GlassFish ports'... The easiest way to do that is with the --portbase option.
