How do I modify the width of a TabContainer in Dojo - dojo

I'm experimenting with Dojo, so far it's very cool except for the fact that I can't seem to be able set the width of a TabContainer. I have the following code
<div id="tabs" dojoType="dijit.layout.TabContainer" doLayout="false">
<div id="javaTab" class="myTab" dojoType="dijit.layout.ContentPane" title="Java">
<h1>Hello I'm the Java Tab</h1>
</div>
<div id="rubyTab" class="myTab" dojoType="dijit.layout.ContentPane" title="Ruby">
<h1>Hello I'm the Ruby Tab</h1>
</div>
</div>
This are the CSS:
#tabs {
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
}
.myTab {
height: 600px;
width: 100%;
padding: 0 !important;
}
If I put a menu bar inside the the tabs then I find that their width is larger than my screen so I don't see the complete bar.
So is there a way to set the width of the generated "tab bar"?
Thanks guys!

Yup Peller is right, you can't set the size on each contentPane, but what you can do is to modify the width of the whole thing (tabContainer)

Can I use Bulma dropdown in Bulma tabs?

I'm using Nuxt.js and Bulma. I'm making navigation using Bulma tabs(https://bulma.io/documentation/components/tabs/).
I wanna insert Bulma dropdown(https://bulma.io/documentation/components/dropdown/#hoverable-or-toggable). But it doesn't work in middle of Tabs.
I know who wanna use Bulma dropdown needs to use javascript, so I use it. But it doesn't work.
How can i fix it?
To get a dropdown working inside Bulma's tabs, you need to adjust the overflow CSS in the tabs div. I'm not sure why I had to set overflow-x and overflow-y to get this working properly, but I did.
When the dropdown is active:
overflow-x : visible;
overflow-y : visible;
When the dropdown is not active, reset to their defaults:
overflow-y : hidden;
overflow-x : auto;
Yes you can with a little amount of fiddling
There are mainly 2 problems :-
Problem 1
As bulma tabs container is flexbox, and the list of tabs are child of this flexbox, the dropdown will not be visible as it overflows out of flexbox container.
If you add overflow-y:visible to tabs container div, scrolling will happen which is not the behaviour we need
Solution
To fix this, the contents to be shown on tab selection should also come inside the tabs container as second child, so that dropdown button/link in list of
tabs has the space to show the dropdown when clicked/hovered.
#tab-container {
flex-direction: column;
height: 500px;
width: 100%
}
#content-child {
flex-grow: 1;
width: 100%
}
#list-child {
flex-grow: 0; //should be set to 0 as it will take up vertical space (it is set to 1 in bulma)
width: 100%;
}
Problem 2
When dropdown is used within bulma tabs, the anchor tags in dropdown gets styled by those specified for anchor tags in tabs.This is one of the main issue.
The dropdown shown thus will be styled very differently.
Solution
Bulma dropdown also allows us to insert div inside.
We can make use of this to overcome problem 1.
Just add this css for divs inside dropdown so as to make it behave like links.
div.dropdown-item.is-active {
background-color: rgba(55, 122, 195, 0.95);
color: #fff;
}
div.dropdown-item {
padding-right: 3rem;
text-align: left;
white-space: nowrap;
width: 100%;
cursor: pointer;
text-decoration: none;
}
div.dropdown-item:hover {
background-color: whitesmoke;
color: #0a0a0a;
}
Complete solution can be seen below and you can change as required for your use case.
div.dropdown-item.is-active {
background-color: rgba(55, 122, 195, 0.95);
color: #fff;
}
div.dropdown-item {
padding-right: 3rem;
text-align: left;
white-space: nowrap;
width: 100%;
cursor: pointer;
text-decoration: none;
}
div.dropdown-item:hover {
background-color: whitesmoke;
color: #0a0a0a;
}
#content-child {
flex-grow: 1;
width: 100%
}
#tab-container {
flex-direction: column;
height: 500px;
width: 100%
}
#list-child {
flex-grow: 0;
width: 100%;
}
<link href="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/bulma#0.8.1/css/bulma.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<div class="tabs is-boxed" id="tab-container">
<ul id="list-child">
<li><a>Pictures</a></li>
<li><a>Music</a></li>
<li><a>Videos</a></li>
<li><a>Documents</a></li>
<li class="dropdown is-active">
<div class="dropdown-trigger">
<a class="has-text-right custom-padding" aria-haspopup="true" aria-controls="dropdown-menu">
Drop Down
</a>
</div>
<div class="dropdown-menu" id="dropdown-menu" role="menu">
<div class="dropdown-content">
<div class="dropdown-item">Dropdown item</div>
<div class=" dropdown-item">Other dropdown item</div>
<div class=" dropdown-item is-active">Active dropdown item</div>
<div class=" dropdown-item">Other dropdown item</div>

<div class=" dropdown-item">With a divider</div>

Bootstrap Jumbotron

I have added a jumbotron to my webpage, my page is now displaying the bottom and right scroll bar! Not sure how to resolve this.
Any tip's or pointers much appreciated.
url http://tyrescanner.net/contact-us
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-12">
<div class="jumbotron">
<h1><span style="color: #ffffff;">Welcome to Tyrescanner</span></h1>
<p></p>
<h2>Contact us.</h2>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
what are you asking for? I assume you just don't want bottom scrollbar ,is that right?
If so, below is your CSS for HTML . change that as below it's in your bootstrap.css file and line number 1071
html {
font-size: 10px;
-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
overflow: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
}
Your jumbotron is wrapped with divs row and col-md-12:
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-12">
<div class="jumbotron">
Delete them and leave only jumbotron.
or remove paddings from your css:
.container-fluid {
width: 100%;
padding-top: 0px;
/* padding-left: 0px; */
/* padding-right: 0px; */
padding-bottom: 0px;
}
It overwrites bootstrap css and cause problem with page width.
After viewing your site I see some issues:
You're using a container-fluid and a nested container-fluid as the jumbotron parent element, the nested one is redundant.
Then I see you've overridden container-fluid and .col--12 classes default bootstrap left/right padding to 0px but you didn't change the default margin of the .row class to have 0px left/right margin hence your bottom scroll bar.
For the footer, remove the margin-top and make the footer a direct child of the body element then add the following css to the form, body and html elements: height:100%;, the rest is margins that you added to the elements.

jssor carousel Having an Issue

I need simple horizontal no-autoplay carousel where images are of various width but same height (117px). I need to see continuous multiple images (depending on their width) in the container separated by, say, 5px. Much like oriental lady example on jssor.com.
What I get (see below code) is perfectly working carousel, BUT only displaying single image per slide. What do I need to do/set to get multiple images per slide please?
<script src="../js/jquery-1.9.1.min.js"></script>
<script src="../js/jssor.slider.min.js"></script>
<script>
jQuery(document).ready(function (\$) {
var options = {
\$AutoPlay: false,
\$Loop: 0,
};
var jssor_slider2 = new \$JssorSlider\$('slider2_container', options);
});
</script>
<div id="slider2_container" style="position: relative; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 300; height: 117;">
<!-- Slides Container -->
<div u="slides" style="cursor: move; position: relative; overflow: hidden; left: 0px; top: 0px; width:300; height: 117">
<div>
<img src="$imgpath/msummer2015.jpg">
<p>Marklin Summer 2015</p>
</div>
<div>
<img src="$imgpath/m2015.jpg">
<p>Marklin 2015</p>
</div>
<div>
<img src="$imgpath/roco2015.jpg">
<p>Roco 2015</p>
</div>
<div>
<img src="$`enter code here`imgpath/fl2015.jpg">
<p>Fleischmann 2015</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
First of all, please define your slider size in pixel (300px, 117px).
Note that every slide should be in fixed size.
Given a slider in size 300 x 117, you can display 2 or more slides in the slides container. Please set $SlideWidth, $DisplayPieces, $SlideSpacing options.
var options = {
$AutoPlay: false,
$Loop: 0,
$SlideWidth: 150,
$DisplayPieces: 2, //or more if you like
$SlideSpacing: 0
};

Bootstrap 3 Carousel full screen flicker

I'm a beginner for web front-end design, using bootstrap to make a project prototype.
I want to do a product like this website
The features I want is
* expand carousel to full screen when visiting the website and then can scroll down to another div element.
I found this similar solution, but unfortunately it uses Carousel as the whole background.
To get the effect I want, I check the javascript src code and edit it.
modify this line (Shown on JSFIDDLE line 13 )
$('.carousel .item').css({'position': 'fixed', 'width': '100%', 'height': '100%'});
into this line (Shown on JSFIDDLE line 13 )
$('.carousel .item').css({'position': 'relative', 'width': $(window).outerWidth(), 'height': $(window).outerHeight()});
Yep, finally get the effect I want!! However, when the photo transition, a unexpected flicker appear, seems the photo is not at right location at first, then go to its right place immediately.
It's annoying when I see the content inside div below, like 1info or 2info.
here is the jsfiddle demo example for the issue.
I tried to use the solution like set z-index, but fail...
Can someone help me to solve this annoying problem? Thanks a lot!!
Here's a flicker-free version without any plugins:
HTML:
<div id="myCarousel" class="carousel slide" data-ride="carousel">
<div class="carousel-inner">
<div class="item active">
<div id="slide1" class="fill">
<div class=" carousel-caption">
<h1>1</h1>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="item">
<div id="slide2" class="fill">
<div class=" carousel-caption" >
<h1>2</h1>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="item">
<div id="slide3" class="fill">
<div class=" carousel-caption" >
<h1>3</h1>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
CSS:
html, body {
height: 100%;
}
.carousel, .item, .active {
height: 100%;
}
.carousel-inner {
height: 100%;
}
.fill {
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background-position: center;
background-size: cover;
}
#slide1 {
background-image: url('http://stylonica.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Cute-Dog-Wallpaper.jpg');
}
#slide2 {
background-image: url('http://hdwallimg.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/White-Dog-Running-Wallpaper-HD.jpg');
}
#slide3 {
background-image: url('http://www.petfinder.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/122163343-conditioning-dog-loud-noises-632x475.jpg');
}
No additional javascript required, just make sure that the jquery and bootstrap.js files are linked in your page.

Why is colorbox not auto-adjusting the width?

Why is colorbox not auto-adjusting the width? Instead it is showing a
horizontal scrollbar.
This is the div that is shown inside the model.
<div style="width:900px">
<div style="float:left;width:640px;height:640px;text-
align:center;background-color:#666;">
<img src="xyz.gif" alt="#" />
</div>
<div style="float:left;background-color:#eee;min-width:260px">
Show buttons here that must show
</div>
</div>
How can I make sure that my colorbox model auto-expands to show 900px div
and no scrollbar?
The div is 708px witdth. Where is it getting this value from?
Another problem:
The height is sometimes 34px, sometimes 600px+ even if I click the same link.
This is wrapping divs from firebug:
<div id="colorbox" class="" style="padding-bottom: 42px; padding-right: 42px; display: block; position: absolute; width: 708px; height: 542px; top: 0px; left: 337px;">
<div id="cboxWrapper" style="height: 584px; width: 750px;">
<div id="cboxMiddleLeft" style="float: left; height: 542px;"></div>
<div id="cboxContent" style="float: left; width: 708px; height: 542px;">
<div id="cboxLoadedContent" style="display: block; width: 708px; overflow: auto; height: 522px;">
Somehow the width of the parent divs are getting calculated.
You're specifying a width of 640px.... change that to min-width and then it would be allowed to grow.
By default, the plugin sizes itself to the dimensions of the digital asset you are displaying with it. But this can be overriden.
Consult the plug-in doc-o and pay special attention to the Dimensions section (height, width, etc.) and consider specifying a value of 100%.
