Default Button - Vb.NET - vb.net

I have a button that I want to make default, but without the border thing around the button. Is this possible to do?

The visual cue comes as standard if you set the default button. You could, however, do something with key-preview, capturing carriage-return and performing the required action(s) necessary. To give a C# example (same concepts apply to VB.NET):

Remove border of a tabcontrolbox in visual studio 2015 [duplicate]

How can I make a transparent tabPage? I found solutions like set both Form's BackColor and TransparencyKey to a color like Color.LimeGreen or override OnPaintBackground with a empty method but TabPage doesn't have neither TransparencyKeyproperty norOnPaintBackground` method. How can I do that?
TabControl is a native Windows component, it always draws the tab pages opaque with no built-in support for transparency. Solving this requires a little helping of out-of-the-box thinking, a tab control with transparent tab pages simply devolves to just the tabstrip being visible. All you have to do is use panels to host the controls that are now on the tab pages and make the correct one visible with the SelectedIndexChanged event.
Best to stick this in a derived class so you can still use the tab control normally at design time. Add a new class to your project and paste the code shown below. Compile. Drop the new control from the top of the toolbox onto the form, replacing the existing one.

How to hide stacklayout if user clicked somwhere else on screen

I createt ResourceDictionary in App.xaml file for application header.
In header I created two dropdowns menu (with stacklayouts and grids).
First is for some user informations and second one is for search.
By default these dropdown menus are hiden.
Max one may be visible if user click on user-icon or on search-icon.
So in HeaderViewModel I cratet these two methods:

This works fine... If user click on user-icon user info will show up and if user then click on serach-icon info will hide an search menu will show up.
So, my question is how to hide any of these menus if user click somewhere else on the screen?
You need to add an TapGestureRecognizer on the Main Layout View of the Page. And on the Tap of it you can use Command and Hide both the dropdown Menu.

change the Label of a button in ribbon word add in

I'm trying to create a simple Word add-in.
I the Ribbon a have create a button and I want to change its label depending on the type of word document.
the document is a mail merge that has two types of models: Demand and Response.
I want to have button label: CREATE DEMAND for Demmand and CREATE RESPONSE for Response.
I tried something like this, but it does not work:

The visual designer for ribbons in word is a little limited, you can get much more functionality by using an XML ribbon, although it is a little more work.
You could do handle this by creating two buttons and then creating a GetVisible method in your ribbon code. The XML would be the following:

Alternatively you could use a GetLabel() method to return the label for the button.
You add the DocumentChange() event to the ThisAddIn class

Xamarin Forms Switch XAML

I'm new in Xamarin and i'm trying to create a simple page with some components.
One of these component is a Switch it works fine by itself but i would like to change the basic text "inactive/active" by "male/female"
I've seen that in Xaml for windows phone there is a ToggleSwitch Component with a On/OffContent property but i can't seems to find an equivalent in XAML for Xamarin Forms
any idea ?

The lack of built in switch options, or at least the lack of being able to rename the switch options, has been asked a few times.
You could go with custom renders, modify the text at the OS level or do like I chose to do, just build your own switch.
This switch is two buttons laid out horizontally with the text Yes and No. The selected button gets a red border, and the unselected a transparent border.

How to make a form's area not clickable without disabling its controls

I have a Winform project in VB.net 2013.
On a form I have a lot's of controls.
When a condition is true , I need to make all the controls inside a specific form's area , not clickable ( but without disabling them )
Of course , when the condition became false the area should return to normal state.

You could assign a NativeWindow to each control and intercept the HITTEST message.
E.g. This example only does it for the immediate Form's children. You could also recurse through all the children.
