Team Foundation Server reporting stops refreshing after adding a CMMi repository - sql-server-2005

I have this problem and did not find in the site a case like mine.
Here is the thing.
I created a TFS 2008 with the scrum template (Conchango). It was a clean install (a fresh OS, a fresh SQL Server, a fresh machine, etc…). So everything worked like a charm.
I created 3 Scrum repositories, assigned permissions, uploaded files and so on… 3 teams started working on them, and everything was super!
Up to this point the server only had 3 scrum repositories and nothing else.
Then, I had to create a new repository, but with the CMMi template (the one provided with TFS).
Again everything works (the Sharepoint site, the source control, documents..) … BUT…. Reports stopped refreshing!!!
Does anybody know how to fix it?
Any help will be really appreciated
Should you need more info please let me know

Found someone with the same problem, reports do stop working after adding CMMI project :)
The following link has an explaination of how to fix it:
http://blog.salvoz.com/2008/01/26/TFSWarehouseIssues.aspx

First of all, you didn't create a new repository. You created a new team project.
Secondly, the trick is to go find out why the reports stopped refreshing! There's no well-known bug, "reports stop refreshing when adding a CMMI Team Project: here's what to do". You'll need to go look on the database tier server and see if there are any problems listed in the event logs or the SQL Server logs. Then track it down.
I had one situation where Analysis Services crashed, restarted and crashed again - because I hadn't set up operator notification. It's necessary to look, in order to see.

Windows Server 2008 R2 error 1053 apache

I have a simple PHP application running on this server which allows other people to verify some information on-line. The apache was running OK until a few days back.
The application uses Postgrees and the apache service was configured by an add-on "Enterprise Db Apache", it was not configured by me and is connected to a portal to be shown on-line. This was kinda dropped on me and I had no prior knowledge or experience with databases nor servers and need to put it back on-line. How can I start to find out what made it stop?
Here's a link to the error I'm receiving when trying to start it back again:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12837412/Erro%201053.png
Tried updating .NET to no success,
I've searched around SO and all the threads I found were based on custom services people wrote, and found out that this error code is very generic, I'm very lost and have my neck on the chopping block.
EDIT: Tried some fixes suggested here but had no success. I'm thinking about reinstalling the service, is it a really bad idea? Is there a safe way of doing this without loss of data in the Database? Is there a tutorial on this here already?
The problem was with compatibility of the versions of C/C++ libraries in the server which lead to the programs related to the service not being able to start properly. A simple reinstalation of the compatible version of the libraries made the service able to be started again.
Maybe your service is taking longer time than 30 seconds (Windows default timeout) to start and report ready to the Service Control Manager. Usually this happens because of performance issues.
A possible solution for this is to extend it through the Registry.
Go to Start > Run > and type regedit
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
With the control folder selected, right click in the pane on the right and select new DWORD Value
Name the new DWORD: ServicesPipeTimeout
Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify
Click Decimal, type '180000', and then click OK
Restart the computer

How to properly configure application in Live Connect and project in Visual Studio 2013

My question here is pretty simple: how to properly (and 100%) configure both Live Connect and project in Visual Studio 2013 in order for the local application run and authenticate an user properly against Microsoft account.
My question may be simple, but the answer is most likely not as simple. I've been reading countless articles and possible tutorials about this, but they are all fragmented and divided into small parts that do not really conciliate each other.
So below is the situation better described, with the steps I have followed.
[Steps Followed]
1) I have created a simple MVC application using Visual Studio 2013.
2) I have configured the project (using its properties) to use IIS Express with current Project Url : https://localhost:44302/
The project runs quite well, and external authentication with Facebook, Google and Twitter run very well too. Now for the tricky part:
3) I have created account with Microsoft and successfully created application in the Live Connect Developer Center.
4) Since configuring the field Redirect URLs to a simple http://localhost:<port> will not work (well...just because they didn't want it to, I suppose), I have additionally done the following..
5) Mapped in hosts file the following domain to localhost: # 127.0.0.1 mytestdomain.localtest.me
6) Reconfigured in Live Connect the Redirect URLs field to use the newly mapped domain: http://mytestdomain.localtest.me (although I have tried this with or without the port as well).
[End result]
With this configuration, the site runs properly locally. However, when I try to sign in with Microsoft account credentials (so, when I click the "Microsoft" button), I have redirected and received the following message:
"We're unable to complete your request
Microsoft account is experiencing technical problems. Please try again later."
I honestly do not understand why wouldn't this work, when a couple of articles suggested that doing these specific steps would make it work.
What can I be missing, why would this happen at all?
If someone can write here what am I missing and we could all join effort and create in this topic a full fledged, 100% working configuration for local application testing with Microsoft authentication, I believe it would help everyone. If such topic already exist and you can point me to it (because clearly I have missed it) it would also be great.
Thank you in advance,
Mad
Actually I just found out a proper and direct answer to my question. I totally missed it somehow during the last few days of research.
Microsoft's blog has all you need to make it work, and now mine does too. No big explanations and discussions, just basic and direct step by step article.
For those who could not find it and stumbled upon my topic here in StackOverflow, here is the link. Follow it word by word, and it will work.

setup project vs2010

every time i do build to setup project on vs2010 its starts sql manager 2008 process for a while and build. the process takes couple of minutes.
in 2008 it did not do that
any thoughts why ?

I don't have an "answer." But I have some information. This (or a very similar) question was asked in how do I stop sql server 2008.... In my case, I had installed VS 2010 (Ultimate) from a Passport drive; SQL 2008 was installed from an ISO image. If I simply plug in the passport drive (VS2010 source) when building the Setup project, the issue "goes away" in the sense that it does not show the dialog. My hunch is that it is still doing the same work, but is finding what it wants (quickly) on the passport drive. If I disconnect the external drive, the problem returns. So if the message is correct and VS 2010 is trying to configure something, it never really gets configured; but it gets past it quickly if it can find its install source.
Someone who has spent more time working with all the configuration pieces might be able to do more with this information.

How do I publish php source code to a local web server in rational team concert?

I'll be using RTC in the near future here at work. My question is: where does it put the files the team members will be working on? I understand that each programmer will work on the projects files and they will push the changes to the main repository. We have a local web server where we test our work (php). So, do we have to configure RTC to publish the files to the web server? or the RTC server must be installed in the webserver so it can save the files?
We use Rational Team Concert almost exactly as you describe, and it works brilliantly. My small team of web developers collaborates on website source code and delivers it to two different streams depending on its readiness: production-stream and staging-stream. Then we have defined two builds that check out the source code, move some things around, and push the files to the web servers via SCP. So, with a few clicks we kick off a staging build, watch it finish in about two minutes and everyone can see the changes on the staging server. When the code is ready for prime-time, the change sets are delivered to production-stream and the production build is kicked off, which is configured to copy the files to the production web server.
But even before a staging or production build is run, any of us can simply configure a local web server in RTC using the Eclipse PDE and Web Tools add-ons and see the site running in localhost as we develop.
All our work is done within Rational Team Concert, from planning, to bug tracking, to source control, to builds. It's very well-suited for website management.
Your understanding is correct - you work on files locally, and they get uploaded on to the server when you checkin. Bear in mind that checkin in RTC terms really means back-up your files to the server, it is a Deliver command that shares the files with others (it is worth a quick look at the articles on jazz.net that explains how SCM works).
One way to pubish to your php server is to make that part of a build, or a build in its own right (which RTC also handles - in conjunction with your favourite build tool). The build would copy the files to the php server. The advantage of doing this as a build is you will know exactly what versions of your files are being copied, and you will be able to reproduce this copy at any point in the future.
You do not need to install the RTC server on the php server.
You can also try posting on the forums on http://jazz.net/ if you have questions on RTC.
Hope that helps.
Another alternative would be to use the command line interface to accept all changes into a workspace and run that with a cron job.
To handle discarded change sets, you'd probably want to use something like:
scm workspace replace-components <workspace-name> stream <uuid-of-stream> --all
after you had initially loaded the workspace on your web server.

How to deploy an existing PerformancePoint dashboard to a new site?

Apologies if the question is not worded appropriately.
I've created a dashboard using the dashboard designer and succesfully deployed it to our development server. Now I'd like to deploy it to our staging server - is there a way to do that?
I've tried pointing the designer at a different URL without success.
Thanks,
Phil
I ran into same issue and thanks to Umair for reminding me about the import option with the Dashboard Designer. You will open up designer in new location and then use the Import option and point to your ddwx file.
Here is the posting and references from the forum posting - Deploy PPS 2010 dashboard content to new server
I have an additional link in the forum post at the bottom that will send you to the link to the technet documentation as well.
If you only have SSAS reports and SSAS data sources then the PerformancePoint 2010 Content Deployment Tool might be of help.
I have used it to deploy dashboards and reports to another server without issues. It even lets you deploy remotely from dev to other servers if you have the needed permissions. Pretty neat tool, sadly it hasn't been updated recently and still lack a few key features (as the ones I described above).
PPS in SP2013 comes with this built in, but I haven't studied the details yet. Just picked it up from the PPS team in this blogpost
Never figured out a good way to deploy SP lists data connections and SSRS reports though.
