I have a textbox to display date.Onclicking on textbox ajaxcalendar has to be displayed infront of textbox .But now its coming behind textbox.So not able to select date.Can anybody help to bring calendar infront of textbox.
You might have to look into the "z-index" style attribute for both controls.
The one with the higher z-index value is closer to the viewer.

I have a dojo enhancedgrid with textbox and other read only attributes. If the item is selected, the textbox value should not be empty before submitting the button. I am not able to validate that specific textbox value as it is not part of attributes. Can anyone let me know how I can get the specific textbox value and ensure that it is not empty before submitting.
Also how can we give a unique name to each texxbox to be able to retrieve the value on server side? Thanks in advance
I have a pretty simple form that brings up a certain record when the "caseNumber" is selected from the combobox. Although after a selection is made within the combobox, it will freeze the entire form on the record selected. I can't click on any other text boxes or buttons. I have to stop the debugger. No errors are thrown. I've read where this has happened to others, but no answers to the problem, that I can find.
There is no code behind it so far, as the form is bound to a dataset and should just bring up the rest of the information once the caseNumber is selected.
Changed the "Selected Value" dropbox to "none" on the data binding menu for the combobox.
Under DataBindings, go to Advanced and make sure DataSource update mode is on NOne
A lot of times this happens because there is a problem in the binding. Are you sure it's not binding the text value of the control(the combobobox) to the data?
The correct way to bind (under DataBindings, Advanced) was to bind it to the SelectedValue instead of Text.
Please let us know a little bit more how your combobox is binded.
How do I create a Control to input email addresses, similar to how capturing tags on stackoverflow works?
I am using C# and Xaml.
You will need:
TextBox(to show input area where you can type)
Popup(to show suggestions below TextBox like StackOveflow does)
ItemsControl(it goes into Popup, so you can just have collection of items and they will be displayed, note that ItemsPanel should be probably GridView)
Then you will need custom Button, that will be overlaid top of TextBox once tag has been added. You need to calculate how big is the button(width) and fill TextBox with empty spaces, to advance cursor further.
Also you need to control what keys are being pressed.
The effect you are after is probably that you recognize complete e-mail addresses, and render them in a custom way. I would do this by removing the completed addresses from the textbox, and wrap them in a skinned label (or maybe a custom control with a delete button).
The most straightforward way is to implement the textbox as a DockPanel with a border, suggesting that it is a text box. On the left side of your DockPanel, you have a StackPanel where you stack the completed address controls left-to-right. Then add a textbox with DockStyle=Fill to fill up the remainder of the DockPanel. Once you detect an email address is entered, you remove the characters from the textbox and add a matching control to the StackPanel.
There is probably a way to change the textbox contents without losing focus, otherwise you need to fix this though code.

I have multiple text boxes on a silverlight page. How can I make one of them active so that I will not have to click it to be able to type into it.

This tries to bring the focus over your textbox.
EDIT:
I assume that you want to select your textbox when the page is loaded. In this situation you nead to bring the focus to the silverlight plug-in first and after that to call Focus() method of your textbox.
