Is there a Tumblr API call to get all posts with a certain tag (such as http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/new+york), similar to how I can get all posts from a specific blog (i.e http://demo.tumblr.com/api/read/json)
Unfortunately http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/new+york/api/read/json doesn't work.
It took me way longer to find this than it should have:
http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/api/v2#tagged-method.
It's just about going to http://api.tumblr.com/v2/tagged?tag=gif with your API key.

When a user submits a video id, I need to know whether that id is actually a video on youtube.
Is there a simple REST api endpoint I can hit?
The YouTube API has a method to get the details of a video. It will return an error if the video does not exist.

Looking for an API that will give me a venue/place/local business based on a phone number as input. I checked out the google place/foursquare/simple geo API's but they don't seem to have this functionality. Any ideas?

I have used PSPad alot and I would like to make an extension for PSPad, but I don't know how to do it. I cannot find anywhere an API documentation to make the extensions.
Can someone please help me?
Have you seen the Script User's Guide? I would think if you looked at some existing extensions that you like you will quickly discover how they hook into the defined APIs.

Looking for a movie/TV API that offers previews (trailers), via widgets or links, as well.
I know IMDB has an API, but it only has metadata. Internet Video Archive also has an API, but, well, lets just say they seem a bit incompetent.
I could use YouTube, but I'd get a lot of cruft and unofficial results. Anyone else have any ideas?
