Unable to install Jazzy gem in my Mac due to write permission - permissions

I am trying to install Jazzy gem in my Mac (macOS Monterey 12.5) but I am getting error of write permission of directory /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.6/usr/lib/ruby/gems/2.6.0 , and when I try to set permission to be writable for 2.6.0 directory, being administrator I am unable to set its permission to be writable (Image for this error attached). I am stuck on this since last one day, and tried enough to get solution from different posts but failed. please help
Here is my terminal command and error

Same error after I tried this buildpack with graphicsmagick
https://elements.heroku.com/buildpacks/bogini/heroku-buildpack-graphicsmagick
So, after playing a bit I made it work by adding 3 additional dependencies to the Aptfile in the example above
libgraphicsmagick++3
libgraphicsmagick++1-dev
libgraphicsmagick-q16-3
So the final Aptfile looks like this
debhelper
g++
gsfonts
libbz2-dev
libexif-dev
libfreetype6-dev
libice-dev
libjbig-dev
libjpeg-dev
liblcms2-dev
libltdl-dev
libpng-dev
libsm-dev
libtiff-dev
libwebp-dev
libwmf-dev
libx11-dev
libxext-dev
libxml2-dev
perl
sharutils
transfig
x11proto-core-dev
zlib1g-dev
libgraphicsmagick++3
libgraphicsmagick++1-dev
libgraphicsmagick-q16-3
And my buildpacks setup:
1. https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-apt
2. https://github.com/bogini/heroku-buildpack-graphicsmagick
3. heroku/ruby
Do you guys see any problem with any of those dependencies and setup?

spnavcfg - SpaceNavigator in Arch Linux

Attempting to install my SpaceNavigator on arch linux using the open source spacenavd service. The service starts up fine, and I have the libspacenav and spacenavd packages installed. I am attempting to build spnavcfg from the sourceforge website.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/spacenav/files/
I downloaded libspacenav and spacenavd from the AUR, ran makepkg -s, and then sudo pacman -U and installed the packages locally, no issues.
spacenavcfg is another story, will probably have to build my own ABS package before I can use pacman on it, however when I extract the contents from sourceforge, it does not compile. I can successfully run sudo ./configure, but when I type 'make', I get the following error:
gcc -o spnavcfg spnavcfg.o front.o back.o cfgfile.o `pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0`
/usr/bin/ld: front.o: undefined reference to symbol 'XOpenDisplay'
/usr/lib/libX11.so.6: error adding symbols: DSO missing from command line
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:16: recipe for target 'spnavcfg' failed
make: *** [spnavcfg] Error 1
I have not been able to figure out what the issue is, the usual google/forum trolling has not yielded any answers.
Thanks!
Barrett
Try with this AUR PKGBUILD this time: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spnavcfg/

I've just run into the same problem. Either the path for types.h is different on your distribution, or it does not exist at all. Try to manually include it.
http://linux.die.net/include/sys/types.h
Your program is going to give you a file, and line number error where it is trying to "include" types.h. What I did to solve the problem, was add types.h into the same folder as the file requesting it. Then you go into the file, on the line that the include error is, and replace the path of (for example) "/linux/types.h", with "types.h" since you have it in the same directory. Now, make, make install. If you receive another include issue, you might want to consider either changing flavors, or if you feel up to it, keep adding includes. Welcome to the wonderful world of hacking. :)

installing WordNet on Mac

I'm trying to install Wordnet 3.0 on my Mac which is OSX 10.8.
I've configured it, but when I try make,
I get a bunch of errors...
.....
/usr/include/tkDecls.h:1692: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before ‘XColor’

and then if I proceed with make install

make[3]: *** [install-htmlDATA] Error 1
make[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
I have not made any modification to Makefile, and don't know if I should.
Could anyone please help me out on this?
Using brew is orders of magnitude simpler. Just:
brew install wordnet
The following worked for me to get it to compile:
./configure CFLAGS="-I/usr/X11R6/include -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lX11 -fpermissive" CC=/usr/bin/gcc
then
make
sudo make install
after that it's showing up fine for me in
/usr/local/WordNet-3.0/
I then added WordNet to my $PATH by editing my .bash_profile file, adding the line:
export PATH=/usr/local/WordNet-3.0/bin:$PATH
opening a new Terminal window, I could then type:
$ wn
and see that it's now working fine
Do the following to install WordNet in fastest manner:
Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
Run in Terminal app:
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null
...and press enter/return key. Wait for the command to finish.
Run:
brew install wordnet
After installation use 'wn' command in terminal to access the application.
I had the same problem too until I saw this webpage: http://ticanchang.blogspot.com/2010/04/install-wordnet-in-mac.html
In the folder of your downloaded WordNet package, type:
./configure
make
sudo make install
You need to include "sudo" because normally a user do not have the permission to update the /usr/local folder.

Capistrano can't find a JavaScript runtime

I have a problem with Capistrano deploying to a server with RVM and gemsets
executing `deploy:assets:precompile'
* executing "cd /var/app/releases/20111229233555 && rake RAILS_ENV=production RAILS_GROUPS=assets assets:precompile"
*** [err ::] rake aborted!
*** [err ::] Could not find a JavaScript runtime. See https://github.com/sstephenson/execjs for a list of available runtimes.

This is my Capfile
$:.unshift(File.expand_path('./lib', ENV['rvm_path']))
require 'rvm/capistrano'
set :rvm_bin_path, "$HOME/.rvm/bin"
set :rvm_ruby_string, '1.9.2#mygemset'
set :rvm_type, :user
load 'deploy/assets'
When I log in as the very same user which is used by Capistrano the failing command is executed without any problems.
It seems that Capistrano is using some other environment.
Here is my ~/.rvmrc file:
rvm_gemset_create_on_use_flag=1 rvm_trust_rvmrcs_flag=1
Is there a way how to check which ruby and gemset is used at the execution time?
node.js is and V8 are installed on the system, and all needed gems are in Gemfile:
here is my rvm info:

setting up PATH in the deploy.rb solved this issue:
default_environment['PATH'] = "/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:$PATH"
it's a Gentoo distribution and the PATH var seems to be empty when using cap deploy, so I copied the content of server PATH and now it works
This issue went away for me when I installed nodejs (using apt-get) on my server. As I stated in this Stackoverflow answer, it's the most practical choice because you don't need to include any dependencies in your Gemfile.
