I have a core api project.
I want to get static files with full path within the project. I want to prevent access to the directory where the file is located and the directories above it.
How can I do that?

So I purchased a prestashop theme from TemplateMonster and the zip file is 324MB and when I try to upload the file in admin, I get an error that the file is too large. I know I can change php settings and maybe get it to work, but I figured I would just ftp it to my server, but filezilla drops the connection when I try to upload it. First, before I change php settings, will it work with such a large file? Also, when I look inside the zip file, I see a .sql file, a psd.zip, readme_en.zip, and 2 other zip files. Do all these files need to be uploaded? Just asking because I'm not sure why the PSD.zip file would need to be included.
413 Request Entity Too Large
Probably the main theme package contains additional assets, but in order to have your theme installed in Prestashop you just need the "main" ZIP theme
(the one that once unzipped contain folders like /assets /templates /modules etc.)
Then you can choose to upload it from your backoffice (you need to set the PHP max_upload_filesize accordingly) or copy the zip directly in your /themes directory and choose the "Import with FTP" option for the "Themes & Logo > Theme > Add new theme" backoffice page.
If you're having trouble with that method too, you can use the "Import from the web"
method by uploading your ZIP in a reachable public URL
I have some images stores in the resources folder of a project as shown. I am able to find the images through My.Resorces.arc1/arc2/arc3 but i am not able to locate the image called directions2 stored at the same resources folder.
Can anyone please help me on this
1.Check your image file have proper file extensions [.jpg,.png etc]
2.Rebuild your project and try again.
The path is shown in Resource file. See the
I need to get VS application path.
Hi! In my windows forms application I had added a image file.
Now I want to get the full path of this image file.
Any idea how can i implement it?
As Cody Gray pointed out, if you have added the image as a resource, you can access it in code via the applicable image property in the My.Resources class.
However, if you have added the image file as just a regular file included in your project, you need to set its "Copy to Output Directory" property to either "Copy if newer" or "Copy Always". That way, the file will be copied to your project's bin folder when it is built. Then your code can find it by looking in the executable folder. You could just assume it's in the current directory, but it would be safer to use something like system.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().Location to get the full path.
I'm creating an AIR app that will load an XML file (that can be edited by the user). It will load certain images specified by the XML file.
I'm currently using File.desktopDirectory.resolvePath() to access the XML file and the images from the desktop.
The AS3 reference for the File class specifies these static properties to access files.
File.applicationStorageDirectory—a storage directory unique to each installed AIR application
File.applicationDirectory—the read-only directory where the application is installed (along with any installed assets)
File.desktopDirectory—the user's desktop directory
File.documentsDirectory—the user's documents directory
File.userDirectory—the user directory
Using these would guarantee that the directories resolve correctly for different OS platforms.
So, is my current approach of just placing the XML file and the images(under subfolders) on the desktop the way to go? The user needs to be able to access the XML file to edit it and the folders to add/remove images. Is there an alternative to doing this? I don't think I can put it in the applicationDirectory, b/c the documentation warns against putting anything there that may change.
i am using itextsharp and creating a PDF with images.
currently the images i am using in the application are on my desktop, but i will need to make an installation file that will put the images in a specified directory on the users computer and be able to call them from the specific directory.
how do i include pictures with my build?
how do i reference the pictures? currently i am using:
Dim jpeg3 As Image = Image.GetInstance(Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Desktop) & "\2.jpg")
How and where do you add the pictures?
If you simply added them to the project as if they were code files (using "add existing item"), then check the Properties for the file in the solution explorer (Build Action, and Copy To Output Directory are useful), and also the Application Files button/window (under the project settings -> Publish). This is useful for distributing the files along with the application (for both debug and release), deployed in a specific sub-directory.
If you added the files to the project's resource file, you can use them using the My.Resources namespace.
