I'm trying to write a simple KB-CVE matching program, and I want to use data provided by Microsoft Security Response Center. Since I'm new, I searched a little and learned to work with developer API.
Problem is after I learned to work with it, I figured it has been returning 503 Error code for quite a long time (link to open issue in GitHub repo).
Now the only way I know, is downloading data from Security Update Guide
manually and then writing a simple program to search data and find the result. which is really not what I want. I'm looking for an automatic way.
The goal is to take KB number, and find all CVEs related to it. Now in order to this I have to manually download my dataset whereas with API I was able to just enter the URL for a specific KB and find all data related to it.
So basically I'm looking for a some URL which is capable of getting all data related to a specific KB now that API server is unavailable.

I'm trying to automate a workflow using Google Data Studio. Requirements are simple - I need to be able to programatically copy a templated report (from a Python/Java application) and import/set a data source (Google Sheets doc) for that report. Nothing more fancy (no visualisation creation, formatting, or anything graphical, etc.).
Sources here, here and here (last two require Google Cloud Console account) suggest an API does exist (and detail a setup process to access it). However, after going through this setup process, I can find no details or documentation of any functionality, and consequently have been unable to progress.
Can anyone authoritatively state whether:
1. There does exist any API functionality for GDS? and
2. If not, are there plans to develop such? (since the Google links above suggest there is, I'm wondering if this means it's in the pipeline for near future).
The only directly related SO posts I can find are here and here. The first suggests there isn't, but doesn't account for the Google links I've provided above which suggest there is; the second doesn't really cover the same use case, so doesn't provide answers applicable here.
FYI - I've posted a Google Community forum post here asking essentially the same question.
If anyone is able to help out, that would be greatly appreciated :) Many thanks in advance for your time and help! :)

There does exist any API functionality for GDS?
Not in the way you are expecting. The three links you posted all refer to the current Data Studio API. The only things you can do with that API is view your Data Studio assets and update permissions. That's it. This API won't let you create/copy/modify reports or data sources.
If not, are there plans to develop such?
Not in the near future. You can make/vote for this feature request in the official tracker. More popular feature requests are usually prioritized in roadmaps.
That being said, a lot of the API use cases can be resolved using combinations of Community Connectors, config parameters, direct linking, viewer's credentials, Linking/Integration API etc.
I made this URL public a few years ago as a way to retrieve data. It was working yesterday. Today my site is crashing as it relies on this data, but google is now returning a 500 error if I try to retrieve it programmatically (through axios).
https://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/list/1DLAVN3q758sPohCFeZlVSVRZKXzEser1SIsQnH2mvrw/ogwtdyp/public/basic?hl=en_US&alt=json
I have also created a code sandobox with react to demonstrate: https://codesandbox.io/embed/xjmy9vl2z4
However, I am still able to view the response in the browser if I am logged in.
Did google recently change their API so that it is no longer possible to retrieve data this way? Is there a way to configure my axios request in such a way to continue retrieving this data?
UPDATE:
Issue is being tracked here: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/131613284
According to the support team: "The engineering team believes they have located the source of the problem and are rolling back to a previous build in order to resolve issue. Please stand by."

UPDATE:
It seems like the issue has been resolved by rolling back to a previous build. I am no longer experiencing these issues. The link above, and the code sandbox example are both functioning. Reading the forum, it seems like others are also no longer experiencing issues. If you are still experiencing issues, I would encourage opening another (perhaps more specific) post or issue.
I write an application that uses the api of iHealth. Scales, blood pressure monitor, and devices like that by iHealth send there data with Bluetooth and smartphone apps to the internet cloud of iHealth. Therefore a user of this devices has a user account in the iHealth internet cloud. There he can login and see his data. My app uses the iHealth api to get the data from this cloud. The user of the devices gives mi the right to access his data by OAuth 2 and after receiving the access data I ask for the data of the user with the given client id.
Well, here comes the problem. As a result I get a JSON-Object of measuring data without any data. That means there is no error message, everything seems fine, except that there are no data of this user. It's no kind of error documented here:
sandbox.ihealthlabs.com/dev_documentation_ResponseFormatAndErrors.htm
Http status is good too (200).
I don't use any optional restrictions like asking for data of only certain time.
An explication would be that the user still hasn't used his devices and the cloud therefore doesn't has any data. Unfortunately this is something I can't influence: My app is still not ready and therefore I only use the sandbox cloud offered for development (http://sandbox.ihealthlabs.com).
The sandboxuser can't use the smartphone apps and therefore I can only read the data that are yet there in the cloud. Of course I can't test without data. Who could develop without reciving data? There has to be an error. Maybe a rather silly error. I asked more than 9 days ago the support but still haven't got any answer.
Getting JSON data from the cloud with the api for blood pressure (openApiBP) (the XX-parts are abbreviated id, token, ...):
http://sandboxapi.ihealthlabs.com/openapiv2/user/d7XX..XX9f/bp.json/?client_id=a6XX..XXbe&client_secret=2bXX..XX3f&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F2Flocalhost%3A8082%2FTelemedicina%2Fdispositivos.html%3Fregreso%3DiHealth&access_token=u8XX..XXyw&sv=6cXX..XXcf&sc=deXX..XXcf
The answer to this (w/o any change) is just:
{"BPDataList":[],
"BPUnit":0,
"CurrentRecordCount":0,
"NextPageUrl":"",
"PageLength":50,
"PageNumber":1,
"PrevPageUrl":"",
"RecordCount":0}
Using the Api for Weight (OpenApiWeight) has the same problem as the OpenApiBP.
I have read the documentation more than once and searched for an explanation in the web.
As you see I ask the api and get this maybe correct but useless answer for development purposes. Any idea? What do I miss?
Update:
An iHealth Lab tecnican answered me. In the sandbox is just now user data. My way of asking and the recifed answer are therefore correct. It's not an error. To get data the application has to be registered for the real world. He didn't explain how to test with this limitation of the sandbox.
I let the the answer of the iHealth Lab api technician speak for itself:
"The sandbox does not provide any actual user data. If you want actual live data you will have to register a new application at developer.ihealthlabs.com."
If this is the answer to my question of why not reciving any data means there is really no data that I could recive.
Thanks to all that tried to help me, especially Scott Lawson. I hope this answer will help others. Knowing this a few days ago would have saved me a lot of time.
I'm a student working on a project related to SEO; I need to write an optimization tool, so I'm writing an application using C# and Windows Forms. The main part of the application is for keyword selection, and I want to use the Google AdWords API to obtain a list of keywords.
I downloaded the C# client library, but can't understand how to set up the project: I am getting the error:
"An API exception has occurred. See ApiExecption and InnerException fields for more details".
Maybe I have made a mistake when I edited the App.config file as I haven't changed anything else. Can anyone advise me where I should begin? I would be grateful to hear your ideas.
Unfortunatley, the AdWords API isn't as open as you might think: It's meant for ad agencies managing large accounts, or software vendors who want to build ad management platforms. You need to apply to Google for an API key to gain access; they used to give them out to nearly anyone with an account, and it took about 14 days to process the application. However, Google has got very strict about their terms and conditions over the past 12 months, and to put it simply, you probably won't meet them if you're building an SEO tool; even if you apply to build a full platform, you'll need to wait six to ten weeks for approval as they've got a huge backlog of applications to process at the moment.
As this is just a student project, you should actually be able to get away with just using the AdWords API sandbox, which is open to anyone with a Google account. This won't give you real keywords or stats, but would demonstrate your understanding of the platform.
Another option would be to check out the Ad Intelligence Service of the adCenter API; you'd still need to open an adCenter account (with a $5 activation fee), but you should be able to get an adCenter API key without waiting too long. The stats available from Microsoft won't be as extensive as what Google has to offer, but will still be relevant to the at least the US market. Also, being Microsoft, they've got a good range of C# examples.
You could use the sandbox, but it is good only for testing purposes. You won't get real values for traffic estimation and keyword ideas.
To use the sandbox, what you need is a Google account (your gmail account for instance). To initialize the sandbox,
In your App.config, put email/password/developerToken as your email / your password / youremail++USD (e.g. john.doe#gmail.com++USD)
Run the GetCampaigns.cs code example. It is under v201109/BasicOperations folder in the C# examples project. This will initialize the sandbox.
Run the GetAccountHierarchy.cs code example. It is under v201109/AccountManagement folder. This will give you 5 client emails and their customer ids.
Use one of these customerIds in the ClientCustomerId field of App.config.
Run any other code example.
The video is a bit outdated, due to recent changes in AdWords API, I need to update it.
you can find a very good article series about adwords api there: Google Adwords API
it is not that hard to learn how to use it! I think the API itself is very good documented and there is a good suppo from google.
I've found a PDF file of Appstore search API, that I can use some parameters to fetch an application's detail information.(sorry I forgot the download url, but I found it in stackoverflow)
But there are so many sites that show you a Top100 list(like appshopper.com), and such as Mobclix.com also provide you the rank information.How can they do that? I didn't find the related API in the PDF file.
I also found an Appstore API by ABTO(http://www.abtollc.com/AppStoreAPI.aspx), but I really wanna do it by myself.
If I clear the 1st question, then I'd like to know the common architecture of building a website based on the appstore data. Do I need a database to cache the appstore's data, and create a batch to fetch the data frequently, execute like once per hour? I think it might not be clever to access the appstore for every user request, and may be there is a access limit of appstore?
Thanks for your help!
You can use the following link to generate a url for querying iTunes Data for things like the top 100 apps in a particular category.
http://itunes.apple.com/rss/generator/
For the top 100 free productivity apps the generated url is
http://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStoreServices.woa/ws/RSS/topfreeapplications/sf=143441/limit=100/genre=6007/xml
The PDF that you link to is very old and hasn't been updated in quite some time, but even if you did get that working, it doesn't have "Top 100" selections (to my knowledge).
1.The way people do to get information from the AppStore is to parse the Xml returned from ITunes web call, and get the information they want. There's no official api release from apple.
You may be right, its more clever to save a copy of app information on your server.
