Apache Directory Studio OpenLDAP connection issue while trying to run the server - jvm

Screenshot of the connection issue
I am trying to work through this installation (https://github.com/dcm4che/dcm4chee-arc-light/wiki/Installation#import-default-configuration-into-ldap-server) but I get the error as mentioned in the screenshot. Any inputs?

VS code can't ssh to server: failed to create hard link

SETUP
I have a windows 10 PC connecting to my linux server (ubuntu 18.04.2). I run/edit code on my powerful server by remotely accessing the server through VS code's ssh ability. It is super convenient to edit my code on the server with VS code...
THE ISSUE
Visual Studio code won't connect to my Linux server. What is weird is that I am able to ssh into the server from the terminal within VScode by just literally typing ssh <username>#<server-hostname>
However, when I do the Remote-SSH option within VScode then it does not want to connect to the server...strange...
Here is how I remotely SSH into server with VScode built in functionality (marked with red rectangle). Also part of this screenshot is my config file, which I have triple checked as correct (IP address and .ssh/id_rsa_gpu_1_solarpv_ssh location)
HERE IS THE ERROR OUTPUT
MY ATTEMPTS
I have made sure that the config file is setup correctly and that the IP address is correct.
I have ensured that the server's IP address is also in the 'known_hosts' file located at /Users/.ssh/
I even generated my own private key for SSH connection as advised by the great documentation here: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/remote/troubleshooting#_quick-start-using-ssh-keys
Still getting the error of failed to create hard link...
With all of my back-end stuff done right, I am absolutely clueless regarding why this is an issue.
After spending literally 9 hours on this issue...here is the answer:
When you launch VScode and remotely access the linux server, the linux server is instructed to download and install a vscode server so that you (on the other side) can remotely connect to the server.
If the server does not have internet just make sure the following setting is ticked
This allows the remote server (without or with internet connection) to get the vscode server running.
To eliminate the "failed to create hard link error" go to the directory mentioned by the error, which in this case on linux server is
navigate to /home/<username>/.vscode-server/bin/0ba0ca.../
then remove/delete the hardlink file and target file which also has
the same name as the directory.
Then just attempt to remotely access your server again through
vscode and all should be fine
Here is also a discussion regarding the issue...if you still have problems https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-remote-release/issues/2507
I solved this by enabling the option Lockfiles in Tmp:
i just deleted the whole library and it works, i don't see anything wrong with doing that.
rm -r /path_to_project/.vscode-server/
if i'm wrong feel free to correct me :)
Try this
Just in case others need to try the same here is the detail
ctrl-shift-p and choose:
Remote-SSH: kill VS Code Server on Host...
Chose the host name
Selected the platform type (linux)
https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-remote-release/issues/4307#issuecomment-762882247
worked for me.

ApacheDS service crashing after adding schema

I am running Apache Directory as a service on Windows 10.
I installed and ran the service and it ran without difficulties. Then, using the Apache Directory Studio (in Schema Mode), I created a new schema project, added a new schema with a single object type and a single attribute type, exported the new schema information to an LDIF file, and imported it back into the LDAP browser (as instructed in https://directory.apache.org/apacheds/basic-ug/2.3.1-adding-schema-elements.html).
As instructed, I then attempted to restart the ApacheDS service.
The ApacheDS service now will not start! When I attempt to start it now, it consistently shows the following failure message:
error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly
Does anyone know what is broken in the server that causes this failure? How can I fix this problem and get the service to run again?
The error could be anything, and might be as well unrelated to the schema update, to get more debug info, change FATAL in conf to DEBUG.

unable to configure iis express for vs 2017

Ever since the last windows update, I have been having problems configuring connecting to a local hostname. But my workaround was to connect to localhost:60856. Now all of a sudden, I can't connect at all with the following error:
the following error occurred when trying to configure IIS Express for Project MantleMapperDotNet.WebCore. The Web Server 'localhost:60856' could not be found
I have scoured the internet for this but to no avail. Following are the things I've tried:
1. deleted .vs folder in vs project
2. deleted IISExpress folder in documents
3. re-installed iisexpress
4. running vs2017 as admin (which i always do).
5. running netsh-http to see if there's a binding already
6. restarting windows
can somebody please tell me what exactly is going on and how i can resolve this issue?

Installation of Thredds Data Server

I am trying to deploy Thredds war file in the Apache Tomcat 7 server on Windows Server 2012 R2.
When I started threads data server it is showing error massage like:
Application at context path/Thredds could not found.
I also gone through the Thredds server log files there error massage is displaying looks like:
tds.content.root.path property isn't defined.
How can I set tds.content.root.path property in the tds.properties file or using Java system properties ?
Please Guys help me out for this issue.
You'll want to specify tds.content.root.path in your <tomcat_home>/bin/setenv.bat. There's a tutorial for server setup here. It's Unix-centric, but hopefully you can use it to do the analogous configuration on Windows.

Cannot start LocalDB

Cannot start LocalDB instance, I have installed and re-installed over and over.
Keep getting this error :
Start of LocalDB instance "v11.0" failed because of the following error:
Error occurred during LocalDB instance startup: SQL Server process failed to start.
Anyone any advice ? ?
Microsoft SQL Server 2012, i have ensured the FULL installation options, stopped all services SQL related and tried restarting .
sqllocaldb info
gives me :
Projects
v11.0
when i try
sqllocaldb start v11.0
I get the above error.
When all else fails and you don't care about data loss, delete and recreate your LocalDB\v11.0 database! At the command prompt
sqllocaldb delete v11.0
sqllocaldb create v11.0
(Sqllocaldb is in your PATH right? It was for me.)
I was getting a similar error, but when running
sqllocaldb start
The local db started successfully. Also when checking the event log I saw an error along the lines of
Windows API call WaitForMultipleObjects returned error code: 575
What fixed it for me:
In IIS, configure the app pool to run under an account with permissions to the DB on the server (advanced options of the app pool)
In the advanced option of the app pool, set Load User Profile to true
Reference: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlexpress/archive/2011/12/09/using-localdb-with-full-iis-part-1-user-profile.aspx
It worths looking at LocalDB log files too, it is more detailed than event log:
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\ProjectsV12\error.log
Besides recreating the instance I had to delete the content of this folder:
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\SSDT\
This is where I have the mdf and ldf files.
My solution:
Go to: %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\ and allow total control of the folder "Instances" to everyone group.
I know this is not OK but it solved my problem and i don't really care about the data of that folder as this is a developing and testing computer.
Same problem here. Here's how I fixed it using bits of the other solutions posted here.
I had dozens of these errors in the application event log:
Windows API call WaitForMultipleObjects returned error code: 575. Windows system error message is: {Application Error}
The application was unable to start correctly (0x%lx). Click OK to close the application.
Reported at line: 3730.
I realized that I had SQL Server Management Studio installed on my development machine, but no other SQL components. I installed the database engine, shared components, and localdb from SQL Express
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-platform/sql-server-editions-express
After installing, I still get the same error in event log :(
Found this article:
Cannot start LocalDB
Run the following in cmd to get the localdb instance name:
C:> sqllocaldb info
In my install, I had:
MSSQLLocalDB
ProjectsV13
I ran the following to delete the instances:
sqllocaldb delete MSSQLLocalDB
sqllocaldb delete ProjectsV13
I ran into issues trying to delete/create these (sqllocaldb delete MSSQLLocalDB). I ended up deleting all of the folders and files under '%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances*' (You need to stop SQL Server and kill all sqlserver processes)
Then running 'sqllocaldb create' created and started the default instance and all files.
Had this issue suddenly too but saw nothing weird in logs. Was able to get it running by running the following in an administrator command prompt:
sqllocaldb start
I had this issue. I was trying to use Windows Authentication through an application, but the IIS App Pool credentials were wrong. I was using my Windows user name (ie: NETWORK\name) as my identity, but I changed it to the built-in "LocalSystem" and it worked.
You should check the Event Log for additional information.

What worked for me was the local IIS application pool I was using was the ApplicationPoolIdentity and that did not have permission to login to MSSQLLocalDB. As soon as a I changed the app pool identity to my windows login account - I was able to connect ok.
Had this issue on Windows 10 when our application was run with compatibility for Windows 8 enabled. Turning off the compatibility setting fixed it.
Before you try something drastic:
After waiting for about 5 minutes it "healed" itself.
(May be this is what this log message is pointing at: "The RANU instance is terminating in response to its internal time out")
I can not yet comment posts here but I really want to give a hint for the in my case extremely helpful post https://stackoverflow.com/a/30298863/8015089 above:
If your LocalDB instance is run by the Windows SYSTEM user (as in my case) the path to error.log is this (MS SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB on Win11): C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\<InstanceName> (enter this path subfolder by subfolder to avoid access problems!)
