I want to use Bing Satellite images in QGIS using the Bing Maps API. You can do this in ArcGIS with not much bother using the API key. I'm sure it must be possible to do this in QGIS but can't work it out.
It's easy enough to get low quality maps in but I want the high-resolution ones offered using Bing API.
Thanks
Tom
Here is one method:
Go to Layer > Add Layer > Add XYZ Layer.
Click New
Name as Bing Maps(as you wish)
URL as https://ecn.t3.tiles.virtualearth.net/tiles/a{q}.jpeg?g=1&key=[YourBingMapskey]
Click Ok
Select XYZ Connections as Bing Maps (Which you created now)
Click Add

I'm creating an app based on maps.
From 11 June 2018 Google changes his price plan of the Google Maps Api.
I read here (Google maps price matrix) that for mobile application it's unilimited free.
But... which api use Google Maps in this library?
I try to use the library and for emulator not use Google API KEY. In this way i'm not sure that i use only free plan.
How i understand how calculate my costs? If there are.
I found all information about it.
react-native-maps use Maps SDK for iOS and Android.
This page Google Maps Costs examplain that for SDK there aren't costs.
I tried to enable only SDK Api and check report monitor on Google Cloud console
In this way you can use dynamic maps, use marker in your react application without costs.
It is different if you use search api or geocode api. This api follow the common cost of api reported in previous link.
In this case you can use mix of Google Maps SDK and Open Street maps API
I'm using Bing Maps on Windows store app (XAML).
I have the longitude and the latitude and I want to get the address (if it exists) of the location.
How can I do it?
Thanks!
You want to do what is called reverse geocoding. Take a look at the SearchManager class: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn306041.aspx This will let you reverse geocode your coordinates and get the address.
Alternatively you can also use the Bing Maps REST services:
This would be more work than using the search manager, but wouldn't require loading an interactive map first.

Since it sounds like you are new to using Bing Maps in Windows Store apps I'd recommend downloading a free copy of my eBook on creating location intelligent Windows Store apps. It shows how to do this an a lot more. You can get a copy of it here: http://rbrundritt.wordpress.com/my-book/
If the detail level of the area I want to display in my application is not good enough (like large private properties such has harbours or airports), can I replace the original Google Map with own data ? Using with Google Map enterprise/business version.
Thanks
Sven
You want a custom map type, that uses your tiles when the zoom is greater than that supported by Google Maps tiles natively.
Is it possible to add more functions for google map by using Google map API?
For example, I would like to add more indicators including stairs, elevators and etc in Google Map, is it possible?
Besides, I would like to add one more function, let's say create a new route without stairs based on the Google Map API, will it work?
It depends on what you mean.
If you are using Google Maps in your own website/application you can add custom markers/overlay based on your own data. (see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/overlays). You can add markers/overlays for pretty much anything you can think of.
If you mean add it to the usual maps.google.com site, then no you can't as far as I'm aware.
You can't change the API as Google control that, but you can use the API on your site however you like.
I'm very confused reading the online term of use of some Online Map Service (like Google Maps, Bing Maps, OpenStreetMaps and Mapquest)...
There is a way to use Google or Bing Maps on a website for non-commercial or commercial pourpose without any daily limitation of request?? What kind of Api I can use for free without any limitation of use or request, if I want to see a map on my site with several point of interest inserted by me??
I have read that in free version of Google or Bing some ads may appear sometimes inside the maps, and I cannot insert in my webpages any ads from another provider different from Google or Bing. It's true?
If I want to use OpenStreetMaps (an opensource Maps Database) or the partner MapQuest, it's true that there aren't any limitations of daily request or appearing ads on the maps or policy of exclusive banner campaign??
But, at the end, If I try to build a portal with this maps, and I want to plan in the future the insertion of some ads and the creation of a little company, I'm doing a commercial or not-commercial use (now and in future)??
Google recently announced new advertising and rate limiting in their terms of service. Websites will be forced to display ads in their maps, or pay for a premium account. Popular websites (resulting in lots of hits of google map tile server) will also need to pay for a premium account. It's not clear if your intended use will trigger those limits.
OpenStreetMap might offer a viable alternative. They do run a map tile server which can be used to embed a slippy map on your website. There is also an open source javascript library called OpenLayers (among other options), meaning that you can be free of google and their ads. OpenStreetMap do however operate a strict tile usage policy to protect the service which is paid for by donations, and run by volunteers.
OpenStreetMap also uniquely offers another approach: Create your own tile server, rendering the raw map data yourself. This might be a sensible option if you run a very popular website, or if you require only a limited area of the world to be shown. It's also really neat because you have full control over rendering style. It's a fairly technical process though ...but
Because this is possible, a number of third parties will offer you a map tile service built using OpenStreetMap data. e.g. MapQuest, CloudMade, TileServer, TileDrawer, or MapBox
