SAP B1 Studio for Visual Studio 2022 - visual-studio-2022

How do I install the SAP Business One Add-On Project templates for Visual Studio 2022?
I upgraded my VS from 2019 to 2022 and installed the latest SAP B1 Version 10 FP 2111. But the installer says it cannot find Visual Studio installed. How do I get to install it?

I guess VS2022 is not yet supported from SAP.

you should install sapb1 tools sdk vb again, then i think you will see the sapb1 addon project menu

You have to install the SAP B1 SDK,
The SDK is included with any Business One patch or installer, in a subfolder called "Packages\SAP Business One SDK".

How do I force Visual Studio to make this project compatible with VS 2022?

I installed VS 2022 Community and am trying to work on a project that was developed on VS 2008 Pro. VS is giving me this report:
How do I force VS to make whatever upgrades it needs in order to run this program? I can provide more info if needed.
MS in their wisdom, dropped support for the Setup & Deployment project, can't remember when exactly, then after a bit of an uproar re-instated it through the Visual Studio marketplace https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=VisualStudioClient.MicrosoftVisualStudio2017InstallerProjects
Since your project has a file .vddproj, it might be a Smart Device CAB project.
It is not supported by later versions of visual studio.
It is recommended that you open it with VS2008.

Is there a way to change the Version 4.8.03752 SP1Rel to Version 4.7.03056

I'm new to visual studio and working on the vb.net. I'm working on a project where my senior is using visual studio 2019 with Version 4.7.03056 and I'm using version 4.8.03752 SP1Rel.
How to change my version to 4.7.03056?
Check the Application page of the project properties on your colleague's machine and see whether it is targeting .NET Framework 4.7, 4.7.1 or 4.7.2. I'm not sure which that version number corresponds to. Once you know, you can open the project properties on your own machine and select the same version. If it's not listed, run the VS Installer, open the list of individual components and select that version to install.

Universal Windows App Visual Studio 2015 Community no designer, no controls in toolbox, no properties

I am using Visual Studio Community 2015 to create Universal Windows App.
I am facing following problems-
1. No designer view.
2. No controls in toolbox.
3. Property window don't show any properties of control.
4. No phone emulators are shown after installing EmulatorSetup.exe
Visual Studio Installed Components are as follows

I have had the same problem and the only way I have got the designer to work is (and this should work if build 10240 is acceptable for your development):
Open your project
Go under "Project" to "Properties"
Select "Application" on the left and change BOTH the target version and the min version to "Windows 10 (10.0; Build 10240)
Once you do that the XAML designer will start working again. I've had to do this on 4 different workstations and it's worked everytime.
As to why build 10568 doesn't work? Got me, agile development, will be fixed in a patch? :p
I had the same problem and could not change BOTH versions to Build 10240 as the Application listbox only showed 10586 in Properties/Application. I thought I could arrange that by editing the .csproj file, which is XML after all, but any change there makes all files in the Solution Explorer immediately unavailable. Then I noticed (running Winver.exe) that my W10 still shows build 10240 despite regularly (but not automatically) running Windows updates. Despite multiple solutions tried, this didn't change. I finally used the MediaCreation Tool to download a new Windows 10 on a USB stick and reinstalled Windows 10, preserving apps and data. And now I am really on 10586 ...and the Design mode shows again when I open my project.
I hope this helps a few!
If you are looking for the SSIS toolbox, click SSIS tab, then SSIS Toolbox.

No MVC4 templates in Visual Studio 2012 Professional

I have recently installed Visual Studio 2012 Pro and noticed that I don't have the option to create ASP.Net MVC4 project.
Why is that?
I solved this by copying the folder WPT from the install iso to my desktop. In this folder there are four msi's
aspnetmvc3.msi
aspnetmvc3vs11tools.msi
aspnetmvc4.msi
aspnetmvc4vs11tools.msi
I uninstalled and reinstalled these in the listed order and started VS2012, the MVC templates then appeared in my new project dialog.
Not sure about 2012 Pro but for 2010 Express I needed to install it separately.

VS2012 RTM missing .net 4.5 and mvc project templates

On Windows 8 RTM and just installed Vs2012 Ultimate RTM, I'm unable to create a .net 4.5 project nor a .net 4 or 4.5 ASP.NET MVC project. I've done a repair of VS2012, which did not fix it. Is there something obvious I'm doing wrong?
I also had the same problem..
Doing the following procedure solved it.
Copy the folder \packages\WPT from the visual studio 2012 installer CD to your desktop.
Uninstall the following in this order..
aspnetmvc4vs11tools.msi
aspnetmvc4.msi
aspnetmvc3vs11tools.msi
aspnetmvc3.msi
Then install these in this order.
aspnetmvc3.msi
aspnetmvc3vs11tools.msi
aspnetmvc4.msi
aspnetmvc4vs11tools.msi
Trying to repair didn't fix the problem. You have to remove and install these..
Hope this will help...
Your install is probably corrupted. VS 2012 needs .net 4.5 to run, so something has gone wrong if it's not available.
I would try uninstalling and reinstalling. It's brute force but it generally works.
You probably do not have the Windows 8.1 SDK installed. Visual Studio 2012, nor its updates, link the .NET Framwork 4.5 libraries for development.
Windows 8.1 SDK
You don't have to install the full SDK if you are just looking for the option to build web apps, just the .NET Framework 4.5.1 option in the installer. The full install is about 1.1GB, but just the .NET installer is only 72MB.
For those reading this that have not updated their copy of Visual Studio 2012, make sure you also have these installed:
Visual Studio 2012 Update 4
ASP.NET and Web Tools 2013.1 for Visual Studio 2012
Hope this helps!
Change .net framework version to 4.5
