How to handle different background and same scenario in gherkin - automation

I am new to gherkin need your suggestion.
I have background step in feature file like below,
For iOS country displayed as United Kingdom (en)
For android country displayed as uk
eg: For Feature file Background is
Select country United Kingdom (en) or uk
either uk or united kingdom (en) text may appear during runtime if anyone is visible it should select one of this on application?
how this can be handled? using gherkin and stepdefinition

Your gherkin scenario should only represent the business logic, whereas which text appears depending on the os is something technical. So you should have a gherkin step which only says When the user selects United Kingdom, then in the step definition you would try to find either United Kingdom (en) or uk

Are there legal issues hosting an Open Source software project on github which uses strong cryptography?

Let's say i code a program under an Open Source license like the GPL which uses strong cryptography in a country which has no restrictions about doing so, and no restrictions in making the software publicly available, like hosting on a hosting provider like github for example.
As of this post github stores all or part of the data it is hosting in several datacenters located on the northern american continent. I have read software incorporating strong cryptography falls under a special USA law about ammunition and as i know even written stuff about implementation of strong cryptography is prohibited to export.
So when pushing my local git repo to an account on github.com, does legal issues arise ? If so, what are good alternatives ?
No, the ammo law no longer applies. There is no restriction.
See, Bernstein v. United States. A a set of court cases brought by Daniel J. Bernstein challenging restrictions on the export of cryptography from the United States.
Also DJB created the delightful curve25519 and it's twisted Edwards variant Ed25519.

Which language support i need to choose before build? (Publish WP app)

So here is the picture:
Sotre Listings (Languages support in package)
Why there are two Hungarian? I need to fill in everything twice! (like description, pictures etc...)
What i need to do? Or its normal?
Actually the second one Hungarian (Hungary) is targeting on Hungarian market while the first one single Hungarian is for other country/region where people also speak Hungarian, like Romania. There are around 14 million people speaking Hungarian language. About 10 million of them live in Hungary and the rest 4 million spread over Romania, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia etc.
The counterpart, you might see in Store listing languages, is about Italian, Italian(Italy) and Italian(Switzerland). The second one targets on Italian market and the third one for Swiss market while the first Italian targets on the rest country/region where people mainly speak Italian.
Now you could complete the Store listing page by selecting language you want to support. More details, please refer to Store listing languages.

Itunes app - mapping countries and languages

Itunes allows developers to customize the title, descriptions and screen shots in about a dozen languages. Now, how does apple choses which languages to show for which country?
Some of them are straight forward - like using English for US or Australia. But how about options for both French and English in France? Or Spanish or English in Spain?
Which is the default language used?
I couldn't find out as to where it is specified, if it is so.

Avoiding content duplication. SEO for similiar sites with different branding

I have a single site but it is marketed regionally with slightly different brand names. I have a xyz-example.com for asia, xyz.com for europe, xyz-supercompany.com for africa etc.
I have both english and french versions of the site, each site is identical apart from the branding.
I know I should use canonical url to point back to the main domain (xyz.com), but AFIAK cross domain canonical urls are only supported by Google?
How else can I try minimize being penalized for duplicate content?
The best way to not get done for content duplication is not to duplicate your content. (sorry I know its obvious)
I cant believe that the content served to a Asia, Europe and Africa should be the same, even if the product is the same and you are talking about the product always in English and French
The way you market to each area across the world is different and will need tailoring to each market, so change your content and tailor it to your different global markets and then you wont have content duplication.
If your content is the same then you only need one site.

which languages to include in iphone app for creating localizable for both western and eastern languages?

i am creating a iphone app which i want to localize.
So which languages should i include in my app for creating localizable for both western and eastern languages?
i want to know what does the western and eastern languages means?
Western languages are typically those spoken in Europe, Africa and the Americas, for example English, French, Portuguese, Finnish, Spanish, etc. They typically have a romanized alphabet. Eastern languages are usually limited to Chinese, Japanese, Korean and sometimes Vietnamese. They are usually pictographic languages, but don't have to be. You'll have to decide based on your own reasoning what languages you want to translate your app into though.
