Error during the second SSL certificate request for a site hosted on a VPS with webmin - ssl-certificate

I encounter this error which I put in brackets. I want to install the SSL certificate on my site which is hosted on a vps with webmin, when I did it the first time it worked my site had the SSL certificate with let's Encrypt but afterwards I wanted to start all over again so I deleted the server and all the files from my site then I created a new server with the same name as the old server but now when I try to request the ssl certificate at the level of my webmin it no longer works while the first time it worked well, I put the error that is displayed in parentheses ( Requesting a certificate for ertiden from Let's Encrypt ..
Request failed : Web-based validation failed :
Saving debug log to /var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log
Plugins selected: Authenticator webroot, Installer None
Obtaining a new certificate
An unexpected error occurred:
Error creating new order :: Cannot issue for "ertiden": Domain name needs at least one dot
Please see the logfiles in /var/log/letsencrypt for more details.
DNS-based validation failed : Neither DNS zone or any of its sub-domains exist on this system )

I am getting certificate hostname verification failed errror while login to spark openfire

Hello i have istalled to openfire into my computer.I am trying to login to spark using username password and ip address as domain but i am getting I am getting certificate hostname verification failed errror.I found that that they are asking to change server i tried that option as well no result.
When we install Openfire server, it generates self-signed certificates for SSL connections. Now if you are in development phase, you don't need to worry about this error. However, once you go into production, you might consider placing proper HTTPS certificates against your domain.

Cert unable to be installed in cpanel

I don't know much about this topic, but have a site (shared hosting) and want ssl for it. Got a certificate from letsencrypt (for both www and plain mydomain.com), they verified it successfully, so I put the cert and private key into the ssl config part of cpanel. Cpanel marked the inputs valid but then gave me the following error
The certificate could not be installed on the domain “mydomain.com”.
error Certificate verification failed!
Certificate verification failed:
unable to load certificate

I have no idea what this means. Any help would be appreciated.
Got it working by making sure every line was exactly 64 characters long

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied, certificates issue in IIS7

I have installed a renewed SSL certificate on my web server running IIS7.
After installation, I applied website binding to port 443.
My application uses client certificates too, so I have changed the SSL setting to Require 'client certificate'.
Both client and SSL server certificates are valid but still I am not able to access my application. The error I get is:
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
I have enabled client certificate mapping in IIS role settings also but still not getting rid of this 403 error.
I guess client certificate is not able to handshake with server certificate. Please help!
In certificate Store verified all server certificate and client cert with its authority hierarchy are available.
also cross check below settings
Application Authentication: Anonymous
Application SSL Setting: Require SSL/ Accept
ApplicationHost.config: enabled OnetoOneMapping under iisClientCertificateMappingAuthentication also added base64 certificate mapped with service accounts
Also based on my past experience we need to ensure we have SChannel registry setting as mentioned in below post.

Simplest workaround just discovered this today. In IIS for your application, Go to Edit Bindings and change your port number. 443 to 4431 or 44301. Any variation you want. In your client computer, type in the new URL using new port number and you will establish a fresh connection to application. Make sure you SSL Settings for IIS Application is set to "Accept" instead of "Require". This means you can click "Cancel" when the pop up asks you to select a certificate you can simply hit "Cancel" and still hit the site. No 403 Error.
Do not spend hours trying to mess with your certificate store, just simply change the port on IIS Server and you'll be fine.

Getting this error: SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE certificate verify failed

We have IBM Sterling Connect Direct 4.2 on Windows 2003 Server, everything is working fine, even the SSL Configuration, we exchange files properly. Now, I have migrated all the configuration to a Windows Server 2008 cluster environment. Everything it's ok... I have configured the IBM Sterling Connect Direct 4.6.0.1 -even the SSL Configuration, we just have made a copy/paste of the certificates, keycerts and trusted files-. Everything it's ok and we are able to receive files under a SSL session. But... there is an exception.. The problem we are facing is when we try to send files to our partners we get this error:
Message ID: CSPA311E
SSL Certificate verification failed, reason= self certificate in certificate chain:
Followed by this error:
Message ID: CSPA309E
SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE certificate verify failed:
We are using exactly the same configuration, except by the IP and server name, that have changed. The certificates in any way are linked to the server name or the IP?
Any hint on this issue is very appreciated.
A certificate is issued for a specific domain name or IP address. I'm pretty sure that this is the reason for your error. You can check this with keytool.exe which is shipped with a JRE or JDK installation and is located in the /bin directory. So issue the following from your command line:
keytool.exe -printcert -file C:\path\to\your\file.crt
This will give an output like:
In the second line there you can see: Owner: CN=localhost, ... which means that this certificate is issued for localhost.
If this CN entry differs from new the IP address or domain name, you have two possibilities.
Crate a new certificate which is issued for that specific IP or domain. You can use the java keytool.exe again.
You need to update your client application which checks the validity of the certificate. Thereby you need to tell the client to don't check the certs CN name against the real IP address or damain name of the remote server. (Not recommended because of security reasons.)

how to a website SSL certificate is valid or not?

I got an issue from my client regarding the SSL setup for his website. I'm not familiar with the SSL certification setup process. He is saying that We have an SSL certificate for this server but I can’t tell if it’s setup properly or not.
If I open that website, firefox says Warning: Contains unauthorized content. I am seeing some details in the warning message window which are given below:
Web site: mydomain.com
Owner: This web site does not supply ownership information
Verified by: Not specified
Mainly I want to know whether the SSL certificate used for this site is valid or not. Can anybody suggest a way to check for the SSL certificate validation of a website.
Thanks
Telnet the server on port 443. If it is responding then it is a certificate problem
