(Odoo) How can i save draft data that i can access later? - odoo

I am trying to save data of a project specifically its name, type, creation date, end date, and five more attributes. In order to insert all of the attributes, the user needs to go through three-step phases that are present in three separate views. I want the data to be saved as draft data in case the user decides to stop the post creation on the second step. The functionality I am trying to develop is similar to the shopping cart functionality that is present on every e-commerce website.
Thanks

I don't believe it is possible!
An alternative would be to group your fields into groups and add a button that controls the visibility of the group of fields. When the user is done filling the first group of fields he can click on the button which will hide the group he filled and show the next group, etc.

Track clicks on a button based on preceding button clicks

I need to track clicks on a button at the end of a sequence of selections. As shown in the image, there are five different business plans (circled in red), and each plan can be for three different years (highlighted in blue). The user will checkbox a business plan type (e.g., market trend) and click a year (e.g., 2017), then click the PDF button (highlighted in black) to download that particular plan (market trend for 2017 in this case).
So instead of counting the total clicks of PDF downloads, the task is to count how many times a particular plan is downloaded based on the plan type and year.
The PDF button, the checkbox for each plan type, and the click button for each year all can be tracked individually. They are also all on the same URL.
GTM and GA are used for tracking. Can anyone share some thoughts of how to achieve this type of tracking?
Thanks!

If you are using google tag manager you can use dataLayer.push() to push to an array which can be used to differentiate the clicks based on the interaction.
Approach is described here
Google Analytics custom dimensions
In your particular case you could have the dataLayer configured to add the different key / values for the different report components and then the trigger will be configured to fire when the download button is clicked.
For example on each of the check boxes you could have:
<input type="checkbox" onclick="dataLayer.push({'plan_component': 'Market Trends'});">
You'd probably better having an array to store this info.
The resultant data can be viewed or aggregated via a custom report download. Described here.
Custom Dimensions and Metrics
It can be a bit tricky to understand and you'll need to change the site so that the dataLayer gets populated with the requisite data but this is the way to go. Best of luck.

Need form in located in a SharePoint 2010 InfoPath web part to retain data submitted at the same time

I have created a form for use during a meeting. Multiple people need to click approve at the same time. The issue is if they all are in the form at the same time, it is only going to keep the last approval and resets the fields the others have approved... as there approval was not there when the form was opened. I guess I should have seen this coming. Is there anything I can do?
Use two lists with a parent/child relationship.
You need a master list with a unique ID and a detail list where the Master ID is assigned to the new list items to define the relationship. In the Master List you can customize the display form to contain a list view of the related items in the Detail list and a link to add new items to that detail list. A little bit of JavaScript will ensure that a new item in the Detail list gets the Master item's ID assigned automatically.
Clear as mud? The SharePoint Hillbilly has a video tutorial for 2007 and 2010.
If you go through the material (the 2007 stuff is good to understand the approach), you'll find that there are two techniques, one using SharePoint Designer, the other one without SPD.
Back to your meeting: Before the meeting, create an item in the Master list. Everybody can see the item on their screen and click to create a related item in the Detail list. They can all save their related item at the same time, since these are individual list items in the Detail list. Refresh the display view of the Master list item to see everybody's replies.

Add Data to Child List from Parent List form in SP 2010

I have 2 custom lists. Purchase Order (PO) and Purchase Order Items (POI). The POI list has a column PO ID, which is a lookup field to a column PO ID in the PO list. For every row in PO, there can be multiple rows in POI (one to many relationship).
When user tries to enter new items in the PO form, he needs to fill in the purchase items too, which will be stored in the POI list. The issue I am facing is, how do I allow the user to enter the data in both the lists at the same time, OOTB?
I have to do this using the list forms itself. Infopath is not an option available. SPD techniques are welcomed.
I don't believe this can be done OOTB or with SharePoint Designer. Out of the box, SharePoint only allows you to enter one new item to one list at a time.
Using Edit In Datasheet is as close as you can some to editing or entering multiple list items at once. But even in this case, it is limited to a single list.
I have done a project similar to what you described using custom programming. I created custom forms along with custom field types that required custom javascript on the client and event receivers on the server. It was an interesting project, but it required a lot of moving parts.

extjs 4 autogenerating a record id

I have a map to which features can be added and removed and am using an extjs 4 grid panel as a view (MVC) to list the features. The idea is that the user can click an item in the grid and highlight it in the map, click a button to remove it etc. The features do not have a natural key so I need to make one up, just a number is fine. At the moment the map starts up with some features already on it so I am able to loop through and give each an id and add a record to the store for each to tie the 2 up, but ideally I want the store to take care of that when each record is added. I also have the problem that when a new feature is created I need to get a fresh new id to use but I'd rather not have to loop through all my features to find the highest id.
I am using myStore.add({id:1,name:'blah'...}) to add the records - should I be using this or insert?
Any help appreciated
Yes you can use the store last to figure out your last record, but my recommendation is to handle ID generation to the server side. Typically database sequencer is used to create IDs.

How to select multiple entries in address book using ABPeoplePickerNavigationController

I need to allow the user to select multiple entries from the iPhone address book before proceeding to the next action.
Currently if I use the ABPeopleNavigationController, it only allows me to pick one entry at a time. Is there any way to allow multiple selections i.e. add a checkmark beside all the names I want to select before clicking on 'done' button
This is not possible with the standard ABPeopleNavigationController.
You'll have to use a UITableView to provide the list of people to select and enable multiple selection - basically you have to do it all yourself. It isn't that hard. Just write a custom table data source on your list of people.
