Why after installing new Bigbluebutton on VMware, it shows empty blue screen? - ssl

I installed a new fresh Bigbluebutton server on VMware without domain and SSL, after installing bbb-demo when I logged in, it showed an empty blue screen. In the browser console this exception was written:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'ondevicechange' of undefined
The last time when I face a similar situation, I try to set a self-signed SSL but it just makes lots of problems and it didn't work.
How I could solve this error?

Finally, I've solved the problem. In this address ffdixon(product manager for BigBlueButton) said:
We need to update the docs -- you must setup an SSL certificate for BigBlueButton or it won't load. If you see "Not Secure" on your browser URL, BigBlueButton will not load.
I didn't have any valid IP or domain for my VM, So I created a valid SSL with one other domain(not belong to my VMware) and setup bbb to use SSL based on this article. Then set /etc/host to redirect SSL domain name to my local IP.

Lets encrypt, "Your connection is not secure"

I´ve tried to add a SSL-Certificate to my webpage with Lets Encrypt as verifier. After I followed the steps described at https://certbot.eff.org/lets-encrypt/ubuntutrusty-apache I got an
Your connection is not secure
error. I´ve tested the SSL Connection with https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html and got an "DNS CAA" warning. After I found out that I have to add the verifier to my DNS (xyz.com 3600 0 issue "letsencrypt.org") the warning disappeared, but I still get the error.
I´ve checked the page with https://www.whynopadlock.com as well, and the only warning I get is
You currently have TLSv1 enabled.
This version of TLS is being phased out. This warning won't break your padlock, however if you run an eCommerce site, PCI requirements state that TLSv1 must be disabled by June 30, 2018.
but the warning states that this should not break my padlock.
I thought that smth. might be cached at the DNS (if this is even possible), but I dont know for certainty. I´ve tested the page on multiple devices and all of them get the error.
I´ve found the problem.
The "www" is somehow missing when I browse the page, so the cert. is registered the the page with "www" in front of it. I´ve created another cert with the missing "www" and now it works

SSL error when using https FCM

I have implemented FCM for web using fcm documentation.
Everything'll be fine if I set url like : 'http://xxx' I have no error.
But when I set url : 'https://xxx..', I get error:
"Failed to register a ServiceWorker: An SSL certificate error occurred when fetching the script."
code: "messaging/failed-serviceworker-registration"
"Messaging: We are unable to register the default service worker. Failed to register a ServiceWorker: An SSL certificate error occurred when fetching the script. (messaging/failed-serviceworker-registration)."
Can anyone show me how to fix this error?
This is a general problem when wanting to test service workers in a local development environment without proper SSL certificates. It is not specific to Firebase Messaging but pertains to Service Workers in general.
Here is the solution I found when using Google Chrome: Testing Service workers locally with self-signed certificates
Unfortunately, I don't know yet how to circument the issue with other browsers, but probably there must be similar ways.
For Chrome, you need to start a new instance of Chrome, with some flags telling it to ignore SSL certificate errors for your local origin:
In Linux (and maybe Mac):
google-chrome --ignore-certificate-errors --unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=https://127.0.0.1 --user-data-dir=/tmp/foo
The https://127.0.0.1 here is the location where your app (and service worker) is hosted locally. You might need to adjust this to use the appropriate port, if serving on a different port than the standard HTTPS port 443, e.g. https://127.0.0.1:3000, when serving your app over HTTPS on port 3000.
The --user-data-dir=/tmp/foo is necessary to start a new instance, with a new user profile, if another instance of Chrome is already running.
In Windows (might vary, depending on where your chrome.exe is):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --ignore-certificate-errors --unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=https://localhost:1123
Again, you might have to adjust the port.
Easier method that worked for me:
Just paste chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost in your chrome browser, and Enable the setting that says something like "Allow invalid certificates for resources loaded from localhost."

The HTTP request was forbidden with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous' WCF SSL

First of all let me describe my system.
I have a virtual server (Windows Server 2012 R2 with IIS 8.5) with two running systems.
One is for receiving Informations from Devices and the other one is for presenting and combining the users information with the device information.
The two systems are combined by a reference (via VS2012).
Problem:
If I have a look on my website for the system which gives me the user and device information in get an error, so I try to debug it on my own pc.
While debugging I want to access the service to display me all devices and it gives me:
System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException
The HTTP request was forbidden with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'.
I also have a WCF-Tracelog which shows me:
WCF-Tracelog
I'm now facing that problem for days and I was browsing stackoverflow a lot. I guess that it should be a problem with my certificates. At the moment I got a SSL-certificate (received from my university). I also "registered" it to a specified port and added the right bindings in my IIS (IIS 8.5). I am very new to WCF,IIS,SOAP and certificates but I guess my problem is the understanding of the certificates.
Question:
Which certificates do I have to create for my "Server-Website/Client"-System and which do I have to create for my own "Client" and where do I have to copy them (at the moment I'm familiar with the MMC => Snap-In)? And where do I need to keep my SSL-certificate located?
I hope someone faced the same Problem and can help me to fix this soon. Sorry for my bad english and if you need more information let me know!
EDIT:
I fixed my certificate-problem but now i receive 403.4 (SSL is required)
my problem solved, i have enabled "IP Address and Domain Restriction" and i added an "allow" option to this section, thus another ip got that error

cannot connect to genymotion and getting proxy error

I have dowloaded latest version of genymotion with proxy server 2.2.2 and while connecting i am getting invalid reply from server (do you use a proxy?). I am not using proxy for sure. Any ideas?
Answer, its all about the http proxy server on the genymotion settings just UNCHECK on the genymotion setting or remover the http proxy server by UN-ticking the ability to enter HTTP PROXY and PORT let it be blank by unckecking hence login your credentials, if it doesn't work try confirming you email with genymotion.
In my case I went to Settings > Network > I checked "Use HTTP Proxy" and I filled the Http Proxy and port fields (with company proxy valid values).
After that I connect smoothly as silk.
I had the same problem in ubuntu and after some struggle when i was almost giving up i stop the docker (had one instance running in port 3337 in my PC) and for my surprise it's finally work.
I had a similar issue (invalid reply from server without Proxy, on a highly customized and quite broken ubuntu 16.04). nothing of the above helped. (seemingly)
Then I visited this site:
http://qaru.site/questions/835901/genymotion-stuck-on-splash-screen
(well, you have to let google translate it, if you are not russian)
the error described there is completely different. (computer crash resulting in different networking issues)
but it had one thing in common with my case:
everything worked fine, and then suddenly: SOME NETWORKING ERROR - without reason
well, for me, the solution was the same as described on the russian page:
removing a (corrupted?!) conf file.
the conf file was at (my home folder)/.config/Genymobile/Genymotion.conf
i deleted it (i had to do it with root, because the file was owned by root, but this might have been the case because i messed a bit with genymotion...)
Then, i restarted genymotion and logged in again and it worked like a charm.
I had to allow Genymtion.exe in windows firewall. I'm using v3
Had the same problem, managed it using a VPN.

SSL Certificate Installation Caused Website to Stop Working

So I had an SSL certificate, I bought one from a new company, through plesk, I installed the new one and then the website just stopped working completely.
The host company cant help, the developers we have dont know how to get it to work.
We essentially have a very large site crashed due to ssl installation.
There was no error, just a blank page, after turning on error reporting, Here is the error we are getting on the website when we go to the website url
Warning: require_once(): open_basedir restriction in effect.
File(/usr/share/psa-pear/MDB2.php) is not within the allowed path(s):

error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'MDB2.php'

/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/inc/general.php on line 7
This started only when we installed the new certificate, changing back to the old one does not work, still the same error on the website
Modify your php.ini's basedir setting to include /usr/share/psa-pear/.
