cannot connect to genymotion and getting proxy error - authentication

I have dowloaded latest version of genymotion with proxy server 2.2.2 and while connecting i am getting invalid reply from server (do you use a proxy?). I am not using proxy for sure. Any ideas?

Answer, its all about the http proxy server on the genymotion settings just UNCHECK on the genymotion setting or remover the http proxy server by UN-ticking the ability to enter HTTP PROXY and PORT let it be blank by unckecking hence login your credentials, if it doesn't work try confirming you email with genymotion.

In my case I went to Settings > Network > I checked "Use HTTP Proxy" and I filled the Http Proxy and port fields (with company proxy valid values).
After that I connect smoothly as silk.

I had the same problem in ubuntu and after some struggle when i was almost giving up i stop the docker (had one instance running in port 3337 in my PC) and for my surprise it's finally work.

I had a similar issue (invalid reply from server without Proxy, on a highly customized and quite broken ubuntu 16.04). nothing of the above helped. (seemingly)
Then I visited this site:
http://qaru.site/questions/835901/genymotion-stuck-on-splash-screen
(well, you have to let google translate it, if you are not russian)
the error described there is completely different. (computer crash resulting in different networking issues)
but it had one thing in common with my case:
everything worked fine, and then suddenly: SOME NETWORKING ERROR - without reason
well, for me, the solution was the same as described on the russian page:
removing a (corrupted?!) conf file.
the conf file was at (my home folder)/.config/Genymobile/Genymotion.conf
i deleted it (i had to do it with root, because the file was owned by root, but this might have been the case because i messed a bit with genymotion...)
Then, i restarted genymotion and logged in again and it worked like a charm.

I had to allow Genymtion.exe in windows firewall. I'm using v3

Had the same problem, managed it using a VPN.

Can't get connected mode to work in PhpStorm

I'm struggling to get the connected mode to connect to my local instance of SonarQube.
I'm suspecting it has something to do with the way my system is set up.
I'm using a Mac (OS X 10.11.x) and I have PHP and Apache set up according to this tutorial. I think perhaps there is an issue with a firewall rule or something.
When I connect to http://localhost:9000/api/system/status with a browser, there is no problem. telnet localhost 9000 works fine too.
But when I enter credentials and create a configuration in SonarLint, I always get:
error testing connection: Fail to request http://localhost:9000/api/system/status
Anybody have a clue?
It is also worth to check SonarLint issue tracker. Issue looks related rather to the plugin than PhpStorm itself.
Check your Phpstorm log folder ~/Library/Logs/PhpStormVERSION/FILE.log (FILE - some log file for phpstorm, in Intellij it's idea.log)
I see the tutorial you followed enabled SSL and I guess that should be because of a certificate.

Unable to access glassfish served content when using localhost

I created this simple dynamic web project (glassfish 4.1.1 latest atm) using eclipse java ee Mars.2 that I installed 2 days ago.
Checking on the admin, the app is deployed and running fine. I could not access the web app using the localhost:8080 url but it works when I use <computername>:8080.
I could access the admin using localhost:4848.
I tried disabling the firewall but the problem persists. What could be the problem?
The error is:
404 Not Found
No context found for request
In eclipse I see the log int he console that says: Automatic timeout occurred
As I pointed out in comments, you can configure listeners in Configuration -> needed configuration -> Network Config -> Network Listeners. However, it is still rather strange that your localhost doesn't work with 0.0.0.0 IP address, since it is a special address which means "listen on all available IPs on given port". Perhaps your network is somehow misconfigured.

SIP Application on standalone Red5 Server does not connect to Asterisk Server

I have tried for days now trying to find the right version of red5phone, but to no avail. Also, I need red5 and asterisk to be on different servers. I have followed all instructions described in the various tutorials on web, but nothing helps. I have downloaded 2 different versions of red5phone: sip1, sip_47 from the red5phone google code site, but none of them worked!
When I use:
a) sip1 - shows the correct parameters being passed on the red5 server console, but connection is stuck up with the console displaying the following error:
[NioProcessor-1] ERROR o.r.server.service.ServiceInvoker - Method login with parameters [<sip user>, <sip user>,<sip user>,<sip user pwd>, <asterisk server i/p>, <asterisk server i/p>] not found in org.red5.server.webapp.sip.Application#2d0c94a7
b) sip47 - when I type in the values in the flex interface and check the red5 server console, I see all parameters correct(the ones I passed) except for asterisk server ip that i m trying to connect. Instead, it shows 127.0.0.1 by default and completely ignores the passed ip and regsitration fails.
I am using:
red5 server version: 0.9.1, centos: 4.8(final), red5phone used: sip_47 (tried sip1 as well)
As a desperate measure I tried debugging the source code for red5phone (java and flex files) myself. but when I try to create the environment on my local system, I get several compile errors for missing java packages such as javax.media, org.slf4j, org.red5, etc. really confused and desperate for some guidance. Any tips highly appreciated.
Sunil, I'm also new to this, I would try red5-voicebridge installed in your red5 server.
red5-voicebridge Please let me know if you got it to work.

Fail to start Apache Directory Server - Error 04450

While I was trying to start ApacheDS 1.5.7 on windows platform, An Error 04450 occurs and the apacheds-rolling.log contains:
[21:07:27] ERROR [org.apache.directory.shared.ldap.entry.DefaultServerAttribute] - ERR_04450 The value {0} is incorrect, it hasnt been added
[21:07:27] ERROR [org.apache.directory.server.Service] - Cannot start the server : reuseAddress can't be set while the acceptor is bound.
How can i fix this problem? Anybody could help me? many thanks!
The warning log message is a bit misleading, actually this is not a serious issue, the server should be running despite of this warning, this has been fixed a while back in the latest trunk code (which will be released as 2.0 instead of 1.5.8).
According to this post, the dc=example,dc=org context entry is not created by default anymore but no one has updated the documentation to reflect this. I installed 1.5.7 and it looks to me like the partition was created fine, but I'm getting the same error as described above. I suggest installing an older version.
The 2nd error message suggests that the port is already in use. Is there a chance that you already had another ApacheDS process running, or that another program is using the ports?
This isn't a domain controller perchance, is it? If so, the default LDAP ports 389 & 636 are already in use for Active Directory, so you'll need to choose another. However, I believe the defaults for ApacheDS are 10389 (LDAP) and 10636 (LDAPS), in which case they would typically be open on a Windows box.
You can check for processes on the ports with the netstat -abn command, and look through the list for the process listening on port 10389 or whichever custom port you chose.

WCF with SSL- not finding localhost

I'm trying to get WCF to use SSL with ANYTHING for FIVE DAYS now. I've gone through countless walkthroughs, generated more certificates than a mail order diploma company, even tried hot fixes. After working with MS dev tools since VB1, I am now considering flipping burgers as a career option. WCF, as far as I can see, is a complete lemon.
Anyway, to get to my actual question: If I run through this walkthrough:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff648840.aspx
I get to step 11 (adding the service reference) and get "There was an error downloading metadata from the address. Please verify that you have entered a valid address".
Details of the error gives: There was an error downloading 'https://localhost/SSL6/Service.svc'.
Unable to connect to the remote server
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:443
I'm using VS2008 on Windows 7 with IIS7. I followed the walkthrough exactly (apart from step 5 which was different on IIS7- I went into "SSL Settings" for the VD), so it shows my config (yes I've used httpsGetEnabled and mexHttpsBinding).
Anyone care to save my sanity and job?
EDIT: If I go into IIS, select the VD in content view, right-click on the svc file and browse, I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Chrome gives "Google Chrome could not connect to localhost".
IE troubleshooting gives "the remote device or resource won't accept the connection".
If I browse using the IP address rather than using localhost via http, it says that it's secured with https ok. If I browse using the IP and https, I get HTTP error 503. The service is unavailable.
So it looks to me like a DNS issue combined with... something.
When I try to just run the service site project, I get "Unable to start debugging on the web server. Unable to connect to the web server. Verify that the web server is running and that incoming HTTP requests are not blocked by a firewall". I've checked the firewall and it's ok.
Finally cracked it. There were at least three issues at play.
1) A DNS issue of some kind with localhost. It's still unresolved on my machine, but I can work around it by using the IP addy.
2) Another issue may have been that apparently, WCF doesn't work with IIS 7 OOTB. So you need to run command prompt as administrator, and run the following command -
"%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe" -r -y
3) After I got through the certificate stuff I was still getting HTTP error 503, "Service unavailable". That ended up being leftovers from my previous attempts, still listening to ports:
http://blogs.msdn.com/webtopics/archive/2010/02/17/a-not-so-common-root-cause-for-503-service-unavailable.aspx
So to get a hello world level service happening with WCF and SSL took me a whole week, and in my travels I discovered many pilgrims who had taken about the same amount of time. Microsoft: You have failed.
Are you using IIS or self hosting? If you're using IIS, it sounds like it's incorrectly configured, because it seems it's not accepting connections on port 443; I guess you're probably missing a protocol binding (https to port 443). There's a detailed discussion of setting up SSL on IIS7 here that might be useful.
Of course, you could easily verify this using the browser, you should be able to connect to the site using SSL from it.
When I have had this error occur, I have found it very useful to run the service from Visual Studio to get additional information. Right-click on the service, and then select Debug -> Start New Instance from the pop-up menu. VS will launch the service using the WcfTestClient.exe.
WcfTestClient will display all the services and endpoints in your service project. A healthy launch will list your services in the a panel on the left, and provide a Start Page tab in a panel on the right. What will happen in your case, however, is that you'll get a list of services in a panel on the top and an "Additional Information" box along the bottom. Your problem service(s) will have a Status of Error.
Click on a problem service in the upper panel, and the Additional Information box will fill with an error message and stack trace. The message will tell you exactly what that problem mex (metadata exchange) address is. That may be enough of a hint for you to solve the problem. If not, post the Additional Information here and I'll be happy to take a look at it.
