Uno Platform on WSL: Errors in unchanged template - cross-platform

I'm attempting to build the Uno project template with Linux support, using WSL (Ubuntu 20.04), following the official guide.
Unfortunately, I always get an error running the Skia GTK project template:
DllNotFoundException: Gtk: libgtk-3-0.dll, libgtk-3.so.0, libgtk-3.0.dylib, gtk-3.dll
I tried adding libgtk-3-0.dll's folder to the Windows PATH, but this didn't help. Then I tried installing libgtk-3 in WSL, but it just changed the error to Can't open display :0.
What am I doing wrong?

The Skia.Gtk backend expects a running X Window server to connect to.
The guide suggests installing vcXsrv, an X11 server for Windows
You'll need to start the server in "Multiple windows" mode, starting with "no client" mode.

Gazebo GUI Not Showing Up when running WSL2 Graphics on Windows 11

I am attempting to use ROS with the Gazebo GUI. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 for the WSL GUI support and have the gedit GUI working. However, when I run the command $ gazebo, the GUI does not open.
Running $ gazebo --verbose gives the following error messages
[Err] [RenderEngine.cc:749] Can't open display: :0
[Err] [GuiIface.cc:124] This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.
After enabling the QT Debug environment variable using export export QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 and rerunning the gazebo command with the verbose option set, It shows me
[Dbg] [GuiIface.cc:112] Got keys from plugin meta data ("xcb")
[Dbg] [GuiIface.cc:112] QFactoryLoader::QFactoryLoader() checking directory path "/usr/bin/platforms" ...
[Dbg] [GuiIface.cc:112] loaded library "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/platforms/libqxcb.so"
I believe that I have all of the necessary packages installed from this output, so I am wondering why gazebo is not showing up. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling gazebo to no avail.
Thank you so much for your time. If I get this problem sorted out, I will post. Please let me know if any other system/output information is needed.
Other information:
I am not using X Server because the Windows 11 upgrade does not require it for graphical WSL applications (but did try it with X Server installed just in case)
I have tinkered around with the ~/.bashrc profile. DISPLAY=0:0 option was set, but I deleted this because Windows 11 did not need it (or so I think?)
Solution:
After reading up online, I found this answer to a similar question to mine.
https://superuser.com/questions/1681647/windows-11-wsl-not-opening-gui-in-my-ubuntu-shell
Getting ubuntu and re-installing gazebo on that worked. Now I can open up the Gazebo GUI.

Task could not find "AxImp.exe" using the SdkToolsPath under Ubuntu Linux with Mono project and Rider

I have a .NET Framework (not .NET Core) C# Selenium project. It works under Windows 8.1/10.
I recently installed Rider in my new Ubuntu 18.04 instance. I installed Mono project using this guide but Rider shows 2 problems, after opening it up:
15:01 Project 'selenium_IALB' load finished with warnings: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
15:01 Project 'MICE' load finished with warnings: Task could not find "AxImp.exe" using the SdkToolsPath "/usr/lib/mono/4.5/" or the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\NETFXSDK\4.7.1\WinSDK-NetFx40Tools-x86". Make sure the SdkToolsPath is set and the tool exists in the correct processor specific location under the SdkToolsPath and that the Microsoft Windows SDK is installed at (2686:5)
I found few questions answered here of how to resolve that problem on Windows for example but it says to install Windows SDK... which is not allowed on Ubuntu i guess (as i found).
As it is shown on the screen below, i have problems with some classes (yellow warning sign). In code it looks like they are missing.
The question is if it is normal that i have that "AxImp.exe" problem under Ubuntu and if yes, how can i solve it? It also does not work on Linux Mint.
EDIT: I resolved the issue of missing reference to those "yellow signed" classes. I've just change their names in the solution folder (ie. helpers.cs -> Helpers.cs). However, missing "AxImp.exe" file is still a problem and the solution does not compile.

Gradle error: Could not determine a usable local IP for this machine

I got this error when building react native android app within Windows Subsystem Linux
Any idea how to resolve that please?
Update
Windows build 14955 (from Windows Insider Program) fixed this issue
Appears to be a known issue with WSL, solved by upgrading to a newer windows insider build.

installing phonegap on windows7 error

I am a web developer and new to Phonegap..
I was trying to install phone gap on my windows 7 machine as per described here
http://docs.phonegap.com/en/3.1.0/guide_cli_index.md.html#The%20Command-line%20Interface
but when i run the following command
cordova platform add android
i am getting the following error
[Error: An error occured during creation of android sub-project.
ERROR : executing command 'ant', make sure you have ant installed and added to y
our path.
]
does this mean that i should install apache ant on my machine ? if so can someone redirect me to right link.
I am also running wampserver on my machine for my other developments..
will installing 'ant' affect on my wamp ?
As described in PhoneGap Getting Started
Finally, you may need to include %ANT_HOME%\bin to your PATH as well. To check to see if this is required, run a command prompt and type ant. If the program can not be found add %ANT_HOME%\bin to the PATH. You may need to specify the full path instead of using the %ANT_HOME% environment variable.
If you need ant for Windows, you may want to download and install it from here
You need ant to add the android platform.
Ant is a java-based build tool.
You can get further informations and download it at http://ant.apache.org.
ant has nothing to do with the apache webserver and doesn't effect your wamp installation. It's another software product provided by the apache foundation.

Can't launch JBoss7 from Eclipse Indigo

I can't figure out where I am going wrong. I have Eclipse Indigo, JBoss 7.1, JBoss Tools installed. I have this configuration working on my Windows7 64-bit system. I am attempting to set up a co-worker's Windows XP 32-bit machine with the same configuration but am not able to get the server to launch. I have configured the server but when I attempt to start the server, I get an error indicating that it was unable to start the server but there is no specific error listed.
I am able to start JBoss from the command prompt using the standalone.bat file.
I am able to configure the standalone.xml file from within Eclipse. I have confirmed this by checking the file in the standalone/configuration directory.
When I attempt to publish the project from within Eclipse, it does not publish.
Nothing gets written to server.log
The startup parameters match what I have on my computer.
I can't figure out what I am missing. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Edit:
I have done some more checking. I am able to publish to the server and I am able to start the server (with the published application) fine from the command prompt. That part works. When I attempt to start the server from within Eclipse it gives me "Server JBoss 7.1 Runtime Server failed to start." It never writes anything to the console tab in Eclipse either so I can't tell why it is failing to start.
Also in the Servers tab, there is an entry called "Server Details". When I expand that entry, it says "Not Connected".
The answer to my problem is that Eclipse had be configured to use the java JDK, not the JRE. As soon as I switched over to use the JDK it started working fine. For some reason JBoss will start under 64-bit windows with the JRE but under 32-bit you need to use the JDK. I found the answer here: https://community.jboss.org/thread/169097
