I need help in React Navigation when I create a tab bar like I have button home and I want to access another screen in the Home with show tab bar inside it to keep selected on the Home icon.
First Screen
Second Screen
I want show tabBar with continue select Home button.
This solved my problem by A stack navigator for each tab.
https://reactnavigation.org/docs/tab-based-navigation/?fbclid=IwAR071_HAYPP9NYGbVHq88j1ZssyBn8226Qnne_PzUdGdIM56XrVD5shU10c#a-stack-navigator-for-each-tab
I think you should have a variable that would keep track of the home page and when you are on it and thus provide the styling you need on the homepage icon....and when you are in the second screen it should be still be set to true so nothing changes

I'm currently building an app that has a bottom tab bar with a navigation stack in each tab. Now I want to create an image screen where the tab bar is hidden. I've followed the docs at https://reactnavigation.org/docs/hiding-tabbar-in-screens, which works fine if you only want the user to able to navigate to the screen and then navigate back to the tab stack.
The problem is that I want it to feel like the image screen is part of the tab stack so the user can navigate from the image screen to another screen (i.e. push another screen on top of the stack). This doesn't work for me using the method mentioned above...
I've also tried using the option tabBarVisible: false, but it makes the "hide animation" glitchy (which the docs also warns for: https://reactnavigation.org/docs/bottom-tab-navigator).
I'm making an app, and in the app there is a home screen. On the home screen, I want to add a bottom navigator with various logos, which when clicked on, navigate the user to a different screen. I only want the bottom navigator to be on the screens that can be accessed from the bottom navigator in home. How would I do this? Would I need different types of navigators in my app.js since I'm using a stack navigator as well? Thanks for any help, I sincerely appreciate it.
Use tab-based-navigation provided by react-navigation. Make tab navigator with the screens that you want to be displayed with tab and wrap that in Stack. Any other screen that you want to display without tab navigation, just add as another stack and wrap all the stacks in Stack.Navigator. Here's the docs they are pretty well explained
https://reactnavigation.org/docs/tab-based-navigation
I am using react navigation and would like to show the modal that will be visible above the screen and be able to navigate to the next screens in StackNavigator. The illustration below shows what I want to achieve
The solution that is in the documentation (https://reactnavigation.org/docs/modal/) solves only part of the problem, because I can't open a modal and navigate another part of the stack while keeping the modal on top
you can use react native modal . it is not part of react navigation and it will show above all screens
I have several nested navigator with above structure:
StackNavigator
authNav
homeNav
main(default)
create
subCreate1(default)
subCreate2
subCreate3
list
subList1(default)
subList2
Actually I play to navigate it. It's work as I expected.
But when I stay on subCreate3 screen, I want to navigate to subList1 screen, then when back or dismiss from subList1 it should go to main screen not go to subCreate3 again.
any idea with this ?. thank react-native user :D
Navigation has stack of all the pushed screen, So when we will try to dismiss or goBack then it will navigate to top stack screen.
In your case, subCreate3 is top most screen when you are on subList1. So it will move there.
If you need to move to particular screen, then below is the logic:
this.props.navigation.navigate(YOUR_SCREEN_NAME)
For more information, checkout navigation
when you navigate to screens using navigate screens are pushed to stack and when you go back it goes back to the previous screen in the stack. In your case subCreate3 is the previous screen in stack.
If you want to go main screen you have to use navigate function again.
I am taking a bottom tab navigator which is having five screens. At third screen which is home screen I want to open modal which contain 2 buttons. When user click on home button show modal and hide tab navigator and when user click anywhere at screen it gets out from modal .
I want functionality like this issue on GitHub presented :
https://github.com/react-navigation/react-navigation/issues/1059.
You can handle click on tab using next https://reactnavigation.org/docs/navigators/tab#tabBarOnPress
So in tabBarOnPress you can implement your custom logic ( open modal, trigger redux action, etc... )
