Processing SSAS Tabular model Fails Remote Server - ssms

I'm trying to create a SSAS Project and deploy to a remote server.
The Data Source is a Database in the same server, but the project must be made in my laptop.
The remote server is not in a domain environment, so to login in SSAS, I used runas /netonly mothod using Server's Administrator Account, which works fine to connect to SSAS Server through SSMS.
I created SSAS Project using Workspace Server and connection is successful.
I am also able to connect to same Server using SQL Server Database Data Source, using Impersonate Service Account, but after I select the tables I need, the processing fails and gives me this Error:
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] Microsoft SQL: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The wait operation timed out.).
And as result I get all tables without data, just column names.
If I create a project using Integrated Workspace, I am able to get Data from Source, but the same Error occurs when I try to Deploy the Project. The metadata deploys successfully, but all processing fails with the same Error.
I tried to Increase Timeout, but the same thing happens even after waiting 30 minutes.
This process does not fail if I create and execute the project inside the Server.

Enable the TCP/IP in both Server NetWork and Client protocols;
Set TCP port:1433;
And then try it again.

Cannot connect to AWS RDS SQL Server instance from SQL Server 2012 Management Studio

I have an AWS RDS SQL Server instance (Express edition). Initially, I created a t2.medium instance. I was able to connect to it from my SQL Server 2012 Management Studio without any problems.
But now I modified my RDS instance from t2.medium to t2.micro (free trial version) by using the Modify Instance option. The modification was done successfully. No other changes were done, but now I am unable to access the instance through the SQL Server 2012 Management Studio. The server name, port, and credentials are all same as before. For testing purposes, the VPC security group has the incoming rule set to allow "All Traffic at all times". But somehow the following error appears whenever I try to connect.
"Cannot connect to ...
A network related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The wait operation timed out.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)"
Kindly help me, as I am unable to easily access my database. If there is any other way to access the database easily do let me know.

SSAS - OLE DB error in establishing a connection

I have a problem when I try to process a SSAS project in Visual studio 2013 (sql server 2012) using Pubs data sample of Microsoft. Could anyone tell me how to resolv it? Thanks in advance!
OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: A network-related or
instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection
to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if
instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow
remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online.;
08001; Client unable to establish connection; 08001; Encryption not
supported on the client.; 08001.
Change the Provider in the connection manager to OLE DB.
If that doesn't work, try restarting the SSAS service.
This happened to me today. It took 3 hours of trying everything I could to fix it and I wanted to share it so maybe someone else can be saved those hours. My solution is particular to my problem whereby I'm using impersonation to log into the server with a specific username and password.
In my case I had an SSAS tabular model with a connection to a remote Azure server. I am using Git on Azure DevOps for my source control and I had just moved over to a new development machine on our local network so I updated the remote repo with the latest version of the model, connected to the new dev machine and cloned the repo there. Then I tried to resume my work, but I was getting the same error you were: "OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible..." blah.
Anyway, I tried resetting the SSAS services, changing the connection provider, rolling back to a previous commit that I knew worked, etc. Nothing worked.
The problem was my impersonation settings!!! I have SSAS_Data_Model credentials created for this project so when I cloned the repo, for some reason the impersonation must not have come through with the password.
So, in Visual Studio, go to Tabular Model Explorer, click on Model -> Data Sources, Edit Connection -> Impersonation... -> and under 'Specific Windows user name and password', you need to re-enter the password for your username. This finally got it working again and I can import tables into my model once more.
Try to test the connection when you provide appropriate server , database , provider. So you will be able to get the connection related problems there itself.

Unable to connect SSMS, Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 53

SQL Server Management Studio is not connecting on my database server machine at production server.
Whereas production sites accessing database. When I tried to connect database from SSMS, I get this error:
Cannot connect to 111.11.11.11.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or
was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that
SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named
Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
(Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 53)
I was using this SSMS last couple of years,n this SSMS is running fine since more then year on production database server n i didn't closed ever, now when i connecting this SSMS but facing this issue, whereas my sites which accessing this database is working fine.
I also tried to access database from sqlcmd but no luck n facing facing this error:
HResult 0x35, Level 16, State 1
Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [53].
Sqlcmd: Error: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 : A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.
Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online..
I thinks we resolved the issues.
1. Active Directory server was not behaving, so
2. SQL server couldn't run without credentials and
3. they found another SQL server issue and fixed it.
We started looking into the SQL connections that my team had found and it lead us to find that the Active Directory server had basically crashed. It was allowing us to log in however it wasn't able to access the majority of the AD functionality. We ended up rebooting the AD server which corrected the issue however we were still seeing issues with the SQL cluster manager and SQL itself was rejecting connections on a somewhat regular basis.
After the AD server was rebooted we were able to log into the SQL cluster manager but with limited capabilities, since it had been erroring due to the AD issue we restarted the cluster service to see if this would correct the issue. This caused the SQL service to fail over to the passive server and caused SQL to start rejecting even more connections than it had been. The cluster service started working with this restart however the SQL connections were getting worse. We found that the IPv6 protocol was enabled for the SQL service which causes problems, like the ones we were seeing, in SQL clusters, to disable this we had to reboot the 2 SQL servers. We rebooted them one at a time and once they were back up everything was working properly.

Unable to connect to SQL Azure remotely from SSMS 2012

I am unable to connect to my SQL Azure database instance remotely using SQL Management Studio 2012. Firewall exception is in there for my local IP. I can connect successfully and admin the database using the browser based management link in my Azure account.
I just can't seem to connect to the database via SSMS or anything else like VS2012.
Here is the format I'm for my connection in SSMS:
Server Name: myservername.database.windows.net
Authentication: SQL Server Authentication
Login: myusername#myservername
Password: my-password
Connect to: (i've tried) "master", mydatabasename, <default>
Encryption: TRUE
Once again, I DO have the firewall rule active for my local IP address on the server instance of my Azure account.
When I attempt to connect, I receive this error:
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an
error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: SSL
Provider, error: 0 - the wait operation timed out.) (Microsoft SQL
Server, Error: 258)
When searching for that 258 error, I do not get many results related to SQL Azure. I appreciate any help.
Error 258 is generated due to some of the configuration within your machine if a secure network could be established between two endpoints and if one machine initiate secure channel. This problem could be very much machine specific and not SQL specific that why you did not find any resources on this regard.
Can you try using SQLCMD as described in the following troubleshooting guide and see if that works to isolate SSMS specific issues on the same machine:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/1719.windows-azure-sql-database-connectivity-troubleshooting-guide.aspx
IF you capture and analyze network packets traffic you might be able to determine the root cause of connectivity error.

SQL Azure Database Named Pipes Error

Up until last night, my site (hosted by DiscountASP.net) and the SQL Azure database that it connects to were running normally.
For some reason, during the night, the site went down with a named pipe error. Error 40.
Having prefixed the server name with "tcp:" in the connection string, the error is now:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.)
So, just to be clear, the web.config file did not change at all between the time the website last worked and the item the named pipe error came up.
Now, the username, password and instance name are all correct since the site runs locally against the remote SQl Azure server perfectly.
I've checked the instance name and the SQl Azure access rules, ensuring that the web server's IP address is whitelisted.
Any ideas on whats wrong?
If I understand this right, your local website (on-premise) can connect to SQL Azure, but your website deployed in Azure can't?
Make sure your firewall rules has the "allow other windows azure services to access this server". Checking this option off basically prevents any azure-hosted application/service from connecting to your database.
