Why am I getting 'Cannot GET' in localhost for Vue npm run serve

I installed Vite build tool for Vue and when I ran it (npm run serve), I got an error that generated the following message
"Missing script: "serve"".
After a little research, I learned that my package.json was missing the serve key.
After I added it ("serve": "vite preview") and ran it, I received the following error in the browser
"Cannot GET /"
preview is for when your app is already built (with npm run build), it's to check the static result. At the end, serve is the name that was used with Vue2's CLI for preview.
If you want to work locally with it, simply run npm run dev.
More info available on Vite's documentation.

What causes the npm error {errno: -4094, code: 'UNKNOWN', syscall: 'readlink'}?

I have been happily building a next.js app over the last couple days without error. Today I installed the firebase npm and suddenly I am getting a strange error when I try to run "npm run dev?
ready - started server on 0.0.0.0:3002, url: http://localhost:3002
[Error: UNKNOWN: unknown error, readlink 'C:\...\seo-site\.next\server\pages\_document.js'] {
errno: -4094,
code: 'UNKNOWN',
syscall: 'readlink',
path: 'C:\\...\\seo-site\\.next\\server\\pages\\_document.js'
}
Even if I uninstall firebase and roll the entire project back to a working build I still get the same error. If I try to run this "broken" build on another computer with the same version of node and npm it runs completely fine. I've tried running npm cache clean --force and npm install -g npm#latest --force several times without any luck.
I have noticed that as I change things I get the error with a different path. Sometimes it's \webpack-runtime.js sometimes its \errors.js and somethimes it's \pages\_document.js'
I cant find anything online or on stack overflow for an error matching this errno or syscall. Has anyone experienced this before or know what is causing this?
deleting the .next file and running npm run dev fixed the issue. I am not sure why this worked but I think it has something to do with next.js trying to use parts of a previous build when you make updates that are causing errors. deleting folder forces next to rebuild everything again.
I tried to go back directories from command line and then reentered into the workplace directory and tried npm run dev. Worked for me.
Right-click the project folder and from the menu choose "Open in integrated Terminal". Then try to run "npm run dev". If it still doesn't work, go back one folder with the command "cd .." and then go back again to the project folder with "cd project folder name". Try running "npm run dev". It worked for me on both occasions. Hope this helps.
Solved by restarting VS Code 🤔
Error occurred seemingly out of nowhere, when restarting the local server with 'npm run dev'. Just doing minor CSS changes to a component in the Nextjs project.

Cannot find module ‘#expo/metro-config’ when trying to start the project with expo cli >= 4.8.0

I recently tried to launch my project on a new computer. I downloaded the source code from its repository and ran npm install to get all the needed packages.
However, when I run npm start or expo start:web, I get the error:
Cannot find module '#expo/metro-config'
I ran npm install #expo/metro-config and the install run without issue, but I still get the “Cannot find module '#expo/metro-config'” error.
The only post I saw regarding this error recommends editing the metro.config.js but I do not use one.
I am on SDK 42, and the project launches fine on my other computer. Any idea what is happening?
FYI, I use to perform this whole operation without any issue until now.
UPDATE:
I ran npm install -g #expo/metro-config and now I get the error Cannot find module 'resolve-from'
So it looks like maybe running npm install -g expo-cli doesn't actually install all the necessary packages? Could it be the issue?
I managed to make it "work" (get other missing packages errors down the line) by reverting to expo-cli 4.7.3. Anything from 4.8.0 and above will cause the error.
Something else is that on a fresh npm install, after running npm install -g expo-cli, if I try to create a project with expo init, I will get the error Error: Cannot find module 'kleur'. Running npm install kleur fix it, but maybe that's also a clue.

Why is preact not getting recognized in the terminal even after installing it?

I have installed Preact but it’s not getting recognized in the terminal. First, I went to the official website of PreactJS. The doc says that I have to run npm install -g preact-cli. As I am using Yarn, I ran yarn global add preact-cli. It was installed successfully but with a lot of warnings. Then I ran preact create default first-preact-app. But it's showing an error that "The term 'Preact' is not recognized as a name of a cmdlet, function, script file or executable program."
I have tried force cleaning the cache and reinstalling preact-cli. But it doesn't work. Two of the warnings are that preact and preact-render-to-string have unmet peer dependency. So, I have installed them also. But it still doesn't work.
I have tried running npm and experimented with the commands also. But it didn't work. So, how can I fix the problem?
I have run these commands using Powershell and Git bash on Windows 10. I am trying to install Preact 10.5.12 using Yarn 1.22.5. And a point to be noted, I tried running yarn dlx but it returns an error that "command not found". And when the installation of preact and preact-render-to-string gets finished, yarn gives and warning that they have no binaries.
EDIT: Perhaps, it was a problem with Windows. The problem has gone after reinstalling it.
Your problem almost certainly is that preact-cli was not on your PATH - a list of programs that are globally accessible.
For what it's worth, we don't recommend installing globally. The site may still say that but the repository correctly recommends using npx instead.

skeleton-typescript-webpack fails when running npm start or npm run build on Windows 7

I'm running Windows 7 64bit with Node v6.5.0 and NPM 3.10.3. I ran npm install in the skeleton-typescript-webpack folder and all the packages installed fine. When I run any commands that call webpack though, I get the errors below.
When I run npm run build I get this error:
When I run npm start I get this error:
As you can see, the command that is run before the npm build error happens is concerning webpack, and same with the command that is run before the npm start error happens.
Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
The skeleton skeleton-typescript-webpack uses TypeScript 2.0 for compilation.
This gives tries to compile adm-zip which is in the selenium-webdriver node module. And this gives an error on a break statement after a return statement.
The file .\nodes_modules\selenium-webdriver\node_modules\adm-zip\zipEntry.js gives the issue. You have to comment out two break; statements in the file on line 96 and line 115. After this you get a correct build.
