Repast: how to get a particular agent set based on multiple conditions? - repast-simphony

There is an answer about how to get the desired agent set with only one condition:
Repast: how to get a particular agent set based on the specific conditions?
How does such thing work for multiple conditions? (e.g. ask rich_people with [wealth > 100000 and age <= 50 and sex = male])

You can compose Queries with the AndQuery and the OrQuery. See,
https://repast.github.io/docs/api/repast_simphony/repast/simphony/query/AndQuery.html

Tableau: Get the ids that contain only the selected values from another column

I have the following question!
I have a table like this:
Data Source
I want to create a field(i suppose it's a field) that i can take the apl_ids,
that have as service_offered some that i want.
Example from the above table. If i want the apl_ids that have ONLY the service_offered
Pending 1, Pending 2 and Pending 7.
In that case, I want to get the apl_id = "13" since apl_id = "12" got one more service that i don't need.
Which is the best way to get that?
Thank you in advance!
Add a calculated field which gives 1 for desired values and 0 for other values. Add another calc field with fixed LOD to apl_id to sum of calcF1. Filter all ids with values=3 only. I think that should work.
Else tell me I will post screenshots
You can create a set based on the field api_id defined by the condition
max([service_offering]=“Pending 1”) and
max([service_offering]=“Pending 2”) and
max([service_offering]=“Pending 7”) and
min([service_offering]=“Pending 1” or [service_offering]=“Pending 2” or [service_offering]=“Pending 7”)
This set will contain those api_ids that have at least one record where service_offering is “Pending 1” and at least one record with Pending 2 ... and where every record has a service offering of 1, 2 or 7 (I.e. no others)
The key is to realize that Tableau treats True as greater than False, so min() and max() for boolean expressions correspond to every() and any().
Once you have a set of api_ids() you can use it on shelves and in calculated fields in many different ways.

How to run a sql query multiple times and combine the results into single output?

I have a list of 2500 obj numbers stored in Excel for which I need to run the below SQL:
SELECT
a.objno,
a.table_comment,
b.queue_comment
FROM
aq$_queue_tables a
JOIN
AQ$_QUEUES b ON a.objno = b.table_objno
WHERE
a.objno = 19551;
Is there any way I can write a loop on above SQL with objno feeding from a list or from a different table? I also want to store/produce all the results from each loop run as a single output.
I considered the option to upload the numbers into a new table and add a where condition:
a.objno=(SELECT newtab.objectno FROM newtab);
However, the logic I'll be writing in the query would exclude certain objectno results. Let's say that the associated objectno has certain queue_comment as of certain date associated with that objectno. I do not want to pull that record. This condition would match with some objectno and wouldn't match with others. Having that condition and running the query against all the objectno is returning 0 results. I couldn't share the original logic as it would reveal certain business rules and it'll be a violation of some policy.
So, I need to run the query on each objectno separately and combine the results.
I'm totally new to SQL and got this task assigned. I'm aware of the regular loop, for in SQL, but I don't think I can apply them in this situation.
Any guidance or reference links to helpful topics is much appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance for the help.
One option is to upload the object numbers from Excel sheet to a table in the database and run the query as following. Assuming newtab is the table where the objectno are uploaded.
SELECT
a.objno,
a.table_comment,
b.queue_comment
FROM
aq$_queue_tables a JOIN AQ$_QUEUES b on a.objno = b.table_objno
WHERE
a.objno IN (SELECT newtab.objectno FROM newtab);
I have used a subquery here, join to the aq$ can work as well.
Reading the comments and all I think you need to enhance your Excel with 2 additional columns and load to a new table.
IN can be used in the following way too:
SELECT
a.objno,
a.table_comment,
b.queue_comment
FROM
aq$_queue_tables a
JOIN
AQ$_QUEUES b ON a.objno = b.table_objno
WHERE
(a.objno,a.table_comment,b.queue_comment) IN (19551,'something','something');
so with the new table will be:
WHERE
(a.objno,a.table_comment,b.queue_comment) IN
(select n.objno, n.table_comment, n.queue_comment from new_table n)

SQL counting number of rows

I am looking for a way to search for a certain number of rows as a quality check. For example, we have tables that have a certain set of results that are needed.
Here is a quick table for an example:
ID: Name: Result: Reportable:
ONE A 10 X
TWO B 12 X
THREE C 1
FOUR D 18 X
FOUR(redo) D 11 X
So we are looking to double check results as there are people who accidentally report results multiple times (as in the case with ID FOUR). We have used having counts but we need the numbers to be specific and need a query to verify that number is satisfied.
In the table above we only want IDs ONE, TWO, and FOUR, however we have 4 results (one extra). Currently we have our check showing the count needed (ie 3) and the current result count (4) to show the mismatch but want a query to easily only show the result needed. We would need the redo result most of the time so we have set it so we take the latest date, but it doesn't help filter how many rows or results. I apologize if anything is confusing and I am not able to share the SQL query that we have currently. It's my first time posting so if I need to clarify anything please let me know as this seems to be very complicated. Thank you for your time.
EDIT: The details
We have one table (Table A) letting us know which results are reportable. The ones that are reportable go into another table (Table B). We have had issues in which people have made too many results reportable which overpopulates the Table B. Our old query had a count in Table B, but due to mistakes in people placing multiple reportables, samples which had many redos seem to be finished as they were all placed and met the count in Table B.
So now by using the Table A that helps tell us how many are Reportable, we want this to double check that the samples are indeed ready.
As I understand the question, you want ids that have multiple reportables. Assuming you really mean name, then:
select name
from t
where reportable = 'X'
group by name
having count(*) >= 2;

T-SQL query for SQL Server 2008 : how to query X # of rows where X is a value in a query while matching on another column

Summary:
I have a list of work items that I am attempting to assign to a list of workers. Each working is allowed to only have a max of 100 work items assigned to them. Each work item specifies the user that should work it (associated as an owner).
For example:
Jim works a total of 5 accounts each with multiple work items. In total jim has 50 items to work already assigned to him. I am allowed to assign only 50 more.
My plight/goal:
I am using a temp table and a select statement to get the # of items each owner has currently assigned to them and I calculate the available slots for new items and store the values in new column. I need to be able to select from the items table where the owner matches my list of owners and their available items(in the temp table), only retrieving the number of rows for each user equal to the number of available slots per user - query would return only 50 rows for jim even though there may be 200 matching the criteria while sam may get 0 rows because he has no available slots while there are 30 items for him to work in the items table.
I realize I may be approaching this problem wrong. I want to avoid using a cursor.
Edit: Adding some example code
SELECT
nUserID_Owner
, CASE
WHEN COUNT(c.nWorkID) >= 100 THEN 0
ELSE 100 - COUNT(c.nWorkID)
END
,COUNT(c.nWorkID)
FROM tblAccounts cic
LEFT JOIN tblWorkItems c
ON c.sAccountNumber = cic.sAccountNumber
AND c.nUserID_WorkAssignedTo = cic.nUserID_Owner
AND c.nTeamID_WorkAssignedTo = cic.nTeamID_Owner
WHERE cic.nUserID_Collector IS NOT NULL
AND nUserID_CurrentOwner = 5288
AND c.bCompleted = 0
GROUP BY nUserID_Owner
This provides output vaulues of 5288, 50, 50 (in Jim's scenario)
It took longer than I wanted it to but I found a solution.
I did use a sub-query as suggested above to produce the work items with a unique row count by user.
I used PARTITION BY to produce a unique row count for each worker and included in my HAVING clause that the row number must be < the count of available slots. I'd post the code but it's beyond the char limit and I'd also have a lot of things to change to anon the system properly.
Originally I was approaching the problem incorrectly focusing on limiting the results rather than thinking about creating the necessary data to relate the result sets.

SQL - multiple conditions in DCount() function

I am using MS Access 2007.
A: DCount("[Name]","[Main]","[Name] = 'Mark'")/
DCount("[Entry]","[Main]","[Entry] = 1")
Okay, so I am basically counting the number of people with the name Mark and I am dividing it by the number of Entry's that = 1 in my database. That's easy enough, but I am trying to apply a third condition, where
[Location]![City] = 'Chicago'
, but Access isn't letting me do this (It can't find the table, even though it's in the table I specified above.
DCount("[Name]","[Main]","[Name] = 'Mark' AND [Location]![City] = 'Chicago'")/
DCount("[Entry]","[Main]","[Entry] = 1")
I have also tried filtering the city with a Where clause in the Design view, but the condition is being applied after the calculation above, so the calculation is the same regardless of the city. I just need it to perform the above calculation for the city of Chicago.
Is something like this possible with DCount?
Also, I would die a happy man if you could tell me how to Group By the city While performing the calculations for each one separately, but I would also be very thankful if someone could just show me how to do it the first way too.
Thanks
What is [Location]![City]? My answer is based on the presumption it refers to a field named City in a table named Location.
If that is correct, I think your problem is because you're attempting to specify a condition based on a field which is not part of the domain ([Main]) you told DCount to use.
From Microsoft's Documentation, the domain is "A string expression identifying the set of records that constitutes the domain. It can be a table name or a query name for a query that does not require a parameter."
So if you want your DCount criteria to refer to fields in two tables, consolidate the tables in the form of a query into a single "domain". Maybe your query could be something like this, "qryMainWithCity":
SELECT m.[Name], m.Entry, m.City_ID, l.City
FROM
Main AS m
INNER JOIN Location AS l
ON m.City_ID = l.City_ID;
If that query works for your situation, you should be able to get what you want with a DCount expression like this:
DCount("*","qryMainWithCity","[Name] = 'Mark' AND City = 'Chicago'")
I was just posting the same answer as #HansUp's came up. I have an alternative way to do it, and that's to use an instant recordset lookup:
Dim varReturnValue as Variant
varReturnValue = CurrentDB.OpenRecordset("SELECT Main.[Name] FROM Main INNER JOIN Location ON Main.City_ID = Location.City_ID WHERE Main.[Name] = 'Mark' AND Location.City = 'Chicago';")(0)
That returns the first field in the recordset returned (the index is zero-based). That way you don't have to save a query.
