Using detox 13.3.1 I am working on writing an acceptance test for this feature in a react-native app. The feature includes adding a ticket to the wallet in which detox test cannot tap on anything once the wallet screen comes up.
I tried by.text and simply query the button text "Add" but it doesn't get it. Also, tapAtPoint doesn't tap anywhere as well. However, I don't know the type of "Add" button.

I'm using Selenium for integration testing of our web app, and it's been working great up until I got far enough down the sidebar menu. Suddently the Create test would fail with org.openqa.selenium.ElementClickInterceptedException: element click intercepted. Other element would receive the click:
The error was very sporadic - order of tests would affect which test class failed - but finally I figured out the reason is that the tooltip from the most recently clicked menu option covers the button I'm trying to click. Not really sure why sending input to form elements (using WebElement:sendKeys() and org.openqa.selenium.support.ui.Select) does not count as moving the mouse away.
Is there a way to make Selenium work around this, or do we have to turn off tooltips in the test version (for obvious reasons I don't like the idea of running our tests on a custom version of the web app)?
I am using ionic 5 and i am implementing maps using Geo location plugin. Basically when the app is installed and opened for the first time, permission popup will be shown to the user. But inside this popup we can also see "Never ask again" option. Is there any way we can hide using ionic code?
Below is the screen shot of the same for reference.
I thought I could pin projects to my GCP BigQuery Classic UI,
and then see them as pinned projects in the new UI, but today the PIN icon is no longer showing up next to a project/dataset which I have access to (in old UI), even though I can see the project.
I thought the best way to see pinned projects/datasets in the new UI was as
follows.
in the classic UI, click down "carrot" icon next to the current project, choose "switch to project," then choose display project
type in the project, choose "display project in the navigation panel."
click on the pin icon
navigate to the new console, and see the project
I thought I was doing this as recently as the mid-last week; I could be crazy though. Today when I do these steps, there is no pin icon, so either I'm doing this incorrectly, or something has changed, please advise.
p.s. the ultimate goal is merely pinning a project/dataset onto my console (new BigQuery UI) navigation tree - so if you have a better set of steps, please let me know.
Thanks...Rich
I didn't read that you wanted to pin it in the new UI. I just tried and pinning works in the new UI.
If you click on the "PIN A PROJECT", you need to choose your project and click OK. A pin appears next to the project you pinned.
I have a weird bug in my simulator. iOS / React Native does a call, but it waits until I click inside the simulator to actually display the data (and show the result actions from Redux in my console.log).
Has anyone experienced this behaviour before?
If you're using remote JS debugging (in Chrome for example), try disabling it.
Update: Rather than disabling JS debugging completely, you can instead deactivate breakpoints and remove Pause on exceptions, which usually means you don't have to click to nudge the code to progress.
To do so in Chrome click the Sources tab in inspector, followed by the relevant file, then on the right ensure the two options are disabled. One looks like a bullet with a line through it (you want this to be blue), and the other looks like a pause icon in a circle (you want this to be grey).
I installed XamlSpy using NuGet in my UWP app.
I debug my application and connect it successfully using the XamlSpy.
The problem is that every mouse hover is responses by XamlSpy what prevents me from clicking on buttons etc'...
How can I start inspect only when needed ?
I tried CTRL+Shift without success...
How can I start inspect only when needed
According to this article, Ctrl+Shift is worked for XAML Spy 2. By testing on my side, I guess you are using XAML Spy 3.
In that case, when you are using the XAML Spy desktop app to inspect, the "Select Visual" button which is for moving your mouse to the app, and click to select a visual in the user interface, is highlighted by default. You may need to click it to not highlight the button to stop inspecting, and click again can start inspecting again when you needed.
