Old datastax enterprise tarball downloads? - datastax

I have an old datastax cluster running 4.5.1, wanted to see if I could upgrade it. Based on the datastax documentation, it "looks" like there is an interim upgrade requirement to 4.8 before jumping to 5.1, can anyone confirm this? And if so, is there a Datastax download archive anywhere?
The oldest version I can download from Datastax's site is 5.1, so I guess the older versions aren't available.

Unfortunately there is no visual way to get a previous release via Download section of the DataStax's site. But all files are still available there if you use the URL of following form:
http://downloads.datastax.com/enterprise/dse-${version}-bin.tar.gz
where ${version} is specific version of DSE. URLs were in the documentation.
To upgrade you'll need to go following way: 4.5.1 -> 4.5.9 (latest of 4.5.x) -> 4.8.16 -> 5.0.15, and from that you can just follow existing upgrade guide to go to 5.1.x (latest right now is 5.1.16), or to 6.0.x/6.7.x. Please follow on steps in the upgrade documentation.

Looking for updates in Pentaho7.x for log 4j vulnerability and it's procedure

We are currently using pentaho 7.X, after log 4j vulnerability we need a solution for that. Please let me know if we have any updates in pentaho 7.x after log4j issuse or we need to upgrade to latest version. If we need to upgrade to latest version, what is the steps?
Thanks in advance
By now Hitachi Vantara hasn't published any patch for the Community Edition version, I don't know if they have provided a patch for the Enterprise Edition.
They are going to release the 9.3 version, I don't know if there's an official date. Maybe in the Community Edition of the 9.3 version the log4j libraries will be updated, look for the official release notes when it's published.

Upgrading from Glassfish 2.1.1 to Glassfish 4.1

Can someone please enlighten me. I'm trying to upgrade my Glassfish 2.1.1 to Glassfish 4.1. I've decided to do a side by side install as indicated here: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26576_01/doc.312/e24942/upgrading-legacy-installation.htm#GSUPG00039
Question are:
(1) What is "as-install"? There's no such directory as-install\bin in my extracted glassfish4 so I assumed it is the installation directory? Is it glassfish4\bin or glassfish4\glassfish\bin?
(2) I can't see the asupgrade.bat file in my glassfish 4.1 so I'm not able to proceed with the steps on the above link. I'm not sure if the version is related since the document specifically says "upgrade to GlassFish Server 3.1". I can see a pkg directory, and there's also an updatetool.bat. I can't run the upgrade tool though since I'm in a closed environment (no internet).
(3) Is it okay to just delete the Sun folder (for Sun Glassfish Enterprise Server v2.1.1) and replace it with the glassfish4 folder (for Glassfish4.1)? Then I will just run my updated installer that supports the new server. Fresh install works, however we also want to try upgrade.
(4) Assuming #3 is not possible, are there any other way?
Sorry to ask this here since I'm not familiar to any Oracle/Sun community. Google search' top results doesn't specifically answer these questions.
UPDATE: Apparently, I found a similar unanswered thread here: Where is the Glassfish 4 upgrade tool . Same issue, upgradetool is no where to be found. Also, tried to connecting to internet and I still can't update it via updatetool.bat.
UPDATE2: Apparently, updatetool.bat doesn't work for Glassfish4.1. I tried running it/installing it so that the upgradetool might be visible but it seems it can't download the application packages.

Cannot install Bluemix tool plugin on eclipse(Mars)

As mentioned in the Bluemix guide, I tried installing the Bluemix tool plugin on eclipse(Mars) with Java 7 installed on my Ubuntu machine.
1). Through the eclipse market place where Bluemix tool is present and the same fails with the following error when installation is nearly over:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software currently installed: IBM Bluemix Tools 1.0.5.v20150801_1001
(com.ibm.cftools.feature.feature.group 1.0.5.v20150801_1001)
Missing requirement: Bluemix Tools 1.0.6.v20150801_1001

To: com.ibm.cftools.branding.ui [1.0.2.v20150801_1001]
I checked this exception and found a description about it in the eclipse web page. However, the remedy is missing for this particular problem.
2). Besides I tried to install the same via WASdev, but I ended up with the following error:
No repository found at http://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/wasdev/updates/cloud/V1.0
However, the same page is accessible from any web browser. Also, I have checked my proxies and they are fine.
Please let me know if there is any solution or what I am doing wrong here. Thanks.
Are you using Eclipse for Java EE Developers edition? It is required that edition to satisfy some bundle requirements.
A few pointers:
An Eclipse update site needs to have a site.xml - check if the location actually has one.
Your install error points to a missing jst component. That's Eclipse "core" stuff. So it seems your access to the original Eclipse update site needs to be checked
Check your Eclipse install, do you have rights to all the files?
Hope this helps
As mentioned, the error message you are receiving (not able to resolve "org.eclipse.jst.server.core") is due to the installation process not being able to locate this package. This package is provided by the same Eclipse marketplace entry or DHE update site from which you are installing (and so you should not see this error when installing from our marketplace or update site). I have confirmed that the provided update site URL is correct and installation works as expected on my own Ubuntu installation.
A few other suggestions, or for users that see the same problem:
This may be a hiccup with DHE or with your connection to the update site. I would suggest trying the installation again.
Try a fresh install of Eclipse to ensure that no other dependencies are interfering with your installation. The Java EE package 'Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers' available for download from Eclipse.org will include the required package that is mentioned in your error message (though as previously mentioned, this should not be necessary as this package is bundled with our update site/marketplace entry).
Ensure you are NOT using the default version of Eclipse available from the Eclipse Software Center, which is often several versions behind.
If this doesn't help, feel free to provide more information about your current installation (version details, method of installation, any other details) to help us reproduce.

Step by step guide for upgrading Typo3 from 6.1 to 6.2

I'm completely new to Typo3 and have inherited a live Typo3 6.1 website.
I have spent a good while researching for 6.1 > 6.2 upgrade guides, but have found nothing so far.
From what I have inderstood, earlier versions just required the overwriting of "t3lib", "typo3" and "index.php" and then possibly some DB adjustments using the BE Upgrade Wizard.
However, there is no 6.2 blank package any more. Just the source file...
Can anybody give (or recommend) a simple step by step upgrade guide from 6.1 to 6.2?
Just to note, I will have to do everything manually (FTP) - no symlinks and no SSH.
Thanks, R
Download TYPO3 6.2. source and replace the typo3 folder and index.php file, next go to Install Tool and process upgrade wizard steps. That's all. t3lib folder can be deleted after all it's not used anymore in TYPO3 6.2 (all sources are now in typo3)
IMPORTANT: make a full copy of site (files+DB) before any changes.
Honestly doing it via FTP is nervous operation - especially when using with unstable net connection it would be best to do changes via SSH or at least with some tool allowing for remote unpacking and renaming files, so you can make a copy just on the server.
Most probably Install tool will claim about not using symlinks, but' that's rather cosmetic requirement and your installation will work well without them.

If I upgrade BIRT should I upgrade existing reports or leave them as the old version?

I have under 100 reports that were created and are running with BIRT 4.2.1. Clients are accessing them via Apache Tomcat 7.0. I have a developement clone of my production/testing enviorement, where I have BIRT 4.3.1. If I use the existing Apache link connection to run new 4.3.1 reports I will need to upgrade the Apache "runtime" files.
What are the advantage and disadvanges of converting the existing reports to 4.3.1?
I too had the same problem of upgrading old version to new version but what i done is just copy the version (or) XML TAGS where thes BIRT version declared from the new version to the old one and if the any exception raise and i just fix according to that, but i didnt have that much of exception and now its working fine for me.
NOTE: Please be sure yourself while changing what i mentioned above
Particularly i don't know the advantages and disadvantges of upgrading but in BIRT COMMUNITY CENTER they have mentioned the list of new feature regarding the 4.3 version Link
If you came to know about anything regarding the conversion just SHARE
