Azure Search Synonym Map open source list - synonym

I am looking for an open source (free to use and modify) synonym list (like a thesaurus) where I can see the all words which have same meaning to a word?
(Please do tell me if I am unable to explain properly)

Rudin mentioned a stacoverflow discussion which I find useful:

Where can I find Cypher Grammar specification?

As a part of my assignment at the University I have to go trough Cypher specification. The link on openCypher site is broken. Is this what is published on gihhub current version of openCypher specification? I don't see the version denoted anywhere.
The file name in the grammar link has not been updated to M19, like all the other links.
It should be https://s3.amazonaws.com/artifacts.opencypher.org/M19/grammar-M19.zip.
You should inform the openCypher project so that it can be fixed. I have created a pull request to fix the links: https://github.com/opencypher/website/pull/27

Easiest way to add raw Open XML code to a Word document

I want to insert a chunk of formatted text into a Word document in VBA. Since this will be done server-side, I am not advised take these chunks from another Word document using Office Interop (link), so I presume it would be easiest to use Open XML like this <w:p><w:r><w:t>String from WriteToWordDoc method.</w:t></w:r></w:p> Sadly Application.ActiveDocument.Range.InsertXML fails. So what other quick and dirty alternatives do I have?
For the "bare necessities" see this MSDN article:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn423225.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
It describes what the minimum requirements are for inserting Open XML into an open Word document. Don't worry that the discussion targets Web add-ins - the principle is the same for any API that inserts WordOpenXML into a Word document at run-time.
I may be misunderstanding where "server-side" is involved in your process, so forgive me if the following is not relevant to your situation: Note that using VBA server-side is a bad idea - Word is not designed to run in a server environment. Better would be to use the Open XML SDK both to retrieve and write the information between two Word documents.

Extracting bibliography from a PDF

I'm trying to see if it is possible to extract from a pdf file the bibliography (if it exists) contained in it (maybe in a .bib file format). I saw programs like mendeley or cb2Bib, but it seems to me that they only extract the bibliographical reference of the article itself but not the references contained in the article.
PS: If I'm off-topic, please forgive me and maybe address me to he correct topic.

Read existing PDF file with all format information

I want to read an existing PDF file, get not only the text, but also the format information like: Font (Bold, Italic...), and paragraphs... Is there an code library for doing this, is it open source or commercial?
I am on Windows and favor C# libraries, but C/C++ is also acceptable.
I can very much recommend
pdflib (http://www.pdflib.com/).
Its commercial, but it also has a lite version which you can use for free privately. It contains very muach functionality and is available for all plattforms.
I'd echo Mr. Meyers on this. There appear to be a number of them; search for "pdf parser library" (plus your language) in your favorite search engine.
A few top hits:
http://www.lowagie.com/iText/
http://metacpan.org/pod/PDF::Parse
http://podofo.sourceforge.net/
http://www.vicman.net/download/13733/ (several for .NET)
Note that if you're wanting to edit an existing PDF, you might want to read this:
http://1t3xt.info/tutorials/faq.php?branch=faq.pdf_in_general&node=replace_word
The Pdfium.Net SDK also can help you. Via this API you can get access to a collection of text, images and other objects and ther properties.
Please note I work at the company who develop this API.

Batch source-code aware spell check

What is a tool or technique that can be used to perform spell checks upon a whole source code base and its associated resource files?
The spell check should be source code aware meaning that it would stick to checking string literals in the code and not the code itself. Bonus points if the spell checker understands common resource file formats, for example text files containing name-value pairs (only check the values). Super-bonus points if you can tell it which parts of an XML DTD or Schema should be checked and which should be ignored.
Many IDEs can do this for the file you are currently working with. The difference in what I am looking for is something that can operate upon a whole source code base at once.
Something like a Findbugs or PMD type tool for mis-spellings would be ideal.
As you mentioned, many IDEs have this functionality already, and one such IDE is Eclipse. However, unlike many other IDEs Eclipse is:
A) open source
B) designed to be programmable
For instance, here's an article on using Eclipse's code formatting functionality from the command line:
http://www.peterfriese.de/formatting-your-code-using-the-eclipse-code-formatter/
In theory, you should be able to do something similar with it's spell-checking mechanism. I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, and if there is a program for doing spell-checking in code then obviously that'd be better, but if not then Eclipse may be the next best thing.
This seems little old but seems to do a good job
