Sqldeveloper adds spaces between schema and object - formatting

The latest version of Sqldeveloper (18.3) seems to break autoformatting.
sample query
select * from hr.whatever;
in 18.2, the query would format to
select *
from hr.whatever;
now, sqldeveloper 18.3 (using the same settings) is formatting this to
select *
from hr . whatever ;
the spaces between schema and object are annoying - and I found no way of switching this off.
I tried to copy the default "custom formatting" from 18.2 to 18.3, however this does not help.
My formatting options:
Hope someone is able to point me to the proper formatting option to disable this.

This is a bug.
Happens when you upgrade to 18.3 AND if you -
If a customer has ever visited the Custom Format Page, and hit OK (not
Cancel) when leaving it (even though he never touch the Arbori code),
then the new Arbori program would be saved (with all the
consequences).
Consequences being what you see.
To get the formatter working as expected again, hit this button.
This bug has been fixed for version 18.4, due later this year.

$TMP is shown incorrect in Eclipse, comma is Included into property filter

My SAP Username is: schmelzer,t. (yeah with comma and point)
Adding a connection to Eclipse the Project Explorer shows me my local objects ($TMP) seperated with schmelzer and t. how can I fix this.
Problem is that it wants to separate with the comma but it shouldn't,
Upgrade to the latest version of ADT.
I tried to reproduce your issue on ABAP 750 and ADT 3.14 and this type of names is processed correctly.
Also I created a couple of objects and nothing. I don't see such freakey thing
Usernames with commas are currently not supported.

videojs-thumbnails plugin shows thumbnails at incorrect time

I'm trying to use "videojs-thumbnails" plugin from https://github.com/brightcove/videojs-thumbnails and noticed that thumbnail's time, specified in the plugin configuration is not matching the timestamp in the seek bar. Coming across different comments regarding this issue I found suggestion at https://github.com/brightcove/videojs-thumbnails/issues/43 to replace line
mouseTime = Math.floor((left - progressControl.el().offsetLeft) / progressControl.width() * duration);
to
mouseTime = Math.floor((left) / progressControl.width() * duration);
By removing
- progressControl.el().offsetLeft
However, that produces still not exact time match.
Finally I came with redefined value for the
var left
Getting it from the current value of
.vjs-mouse-display
So, my final codes are:
left=parseInt((document.querySelector('.vjs-mouse-display').style.left),10);
mouseTime = Math.floor((left) / progressControl.width() * duration);
Now everything works correctly.
Greatly appreciate for comments/suggestions.
This is NOT an answer to your specific question / issue, but rather, an alternative implentation approach.
I, too, wanted thumbnails for my video(s), so I proto-typed a page
that used videoJS's plugin. I don't recall all the details of the
issues that I ran into trying to use that plugin, but I finally decided
to abandon the plugin, and design an alternative, which has its own
separate 'slider' just above the viewer. [ One 'drags' my slider,
(rather than hover along it, as you do on YouTube's videos), so that it
can work straight-forwardly on touch-screens...i.e. on Android, etc. ]
And, rather than try to extract images from the video in real-time,
(See: How to generate video preview thumbnails for use in VideoJS? ), I chose to prepare the images, ahead of time, using 'ffmpeg' and the cmd-line interface to 'ImageMagick'.
Details of that part are here:
http://weasel.firmfriends.us/GeeksHomePages/subj-video-and-audio.html#implementing-video-thumbnails
My 'proof-of-concept' webpage based on that approach is here:

I hope this is helpful.

PhpStorm unable to resolve column for multiple database connections

I have only been using PhpStorm a week or so, so far all my SQL queries have been working fine with no errors after setting up the database connection. This current code actually uses a second database (one is for users the other for the specific product) so I added that connection in the database tab too but its still giving me a 'unable to resolve column' warning.
Is there a way to see what database its looking at? Will it work with multiple databases? Or have I done something else wrong?
Error below:
$this->db->setSQL("SELECT T1.*, trunc(sysdate) - trunc(DATE_CHANGED) EXPIRES FROM " . $this->tableName . " T1 WHERE lower(" . $this->primaryKey . ")=lower(:id)")
Also here is what my database settings window looks like as seen some people having problems with parameter patterns causing this error but I'm fairly sure that is not the issue here:
Using PhpStorm 10.0.3
You can set the SQL resolution scope in File -> Settings -> Languages & Frameworks -> SQL Resolution Scopes.
This allows you to provide a default for the entire project and you can optionally define specific mappings to certain paths in the project.
So the short answer is that it cant read the table name as a variable even though its set in a variable above. I thought PhpStorm could work that out. The only way to remove the error would be to either completely turn off SQL inspections (obviously not ideal as I use it throughout my project) or to temporarily disable it for this statement only using the doc comment:
/** #noinspection SqlResolve */
Was hoping to find a more focused comment much like the #var or #method ones to help tell Phpstorm what the table should be so it could still inspect the rest of the statement. Something like:
/** #var $this->tableName TABLE_IM_USING */
Maybe in the future JetBrains will add that or make PhpStorm clever enough to look at the variable 3 lines above.
You can use Nowdoc/Heredoc also instead of using
/** #noinspection SqlResolve */
Here is the example
$name = "your name";
$query = <<<SQL
SELECT * FROM user WHERE name LIKE "%$name%" ORDER BY id
SQL;
Both of the methods will make the warning gone

Whats wrong with Neo4j 2.0 Query?

I am trying to understand why the data is not showing up in my query. I was wondering if there is any way to troubleshoot whats going on.
Here is the current issue:
I have populated some data from existing test database to check the performance with a relation like this : (e:Event)-[:FOR_USER]->(u:User) when I get all the users and look at the property, I can see the data, but when I query the users using same data it says 0 records found.
Below image shows the 2 query:
Can some one please help me understand how to debug such issue in neo4j
EDIT
Issue is that the Browser is somehow truncating the multiple spaces in the result. Like in this case "User-May<space>1 2013 1:18AM" was displayed on both webadmin and new browser, but in reality it should have been "User-May<space><space>1 2013<space><space>1:18AM"
So no matter what I do I can't query the value as looks like duplicate space is truncated somewhere.
Tabular data as Micheal suggested is as below
{"id":"75307","labels":["User"],"properties":{"Name":"User-May 1 2013 1:18AM"}}
and what we are seeing is User-May 1 2013 1:18AM
Regards
Kiran
Use the following Cypher syntax in the browser:
MATCH (user:User { Name: "User-May 1 2013 1:18AM" })
RETURN user.Name as Name
As far as the rendering of multiple spaces being trimmed, that is a browser specific functionality. See screenshot below for example:
The text itself is preserved as it is returned from the Neo4j server. As you can see when I analyze the HTML element of the browser using Firebug, the redundant spaces are indeed there.
So again, this doesn't seem to be a bug with Neo4j, it's how the browser you are using renders the text. The browser expects redundant spaces to be encoded as like so: "Testing testing" which is HTML encoded as Testing testing

Custom Grid Query in Rally with Multiple OR Clauses

I'm trying to write a query in Rally that will show me all the defects for several projects, but every time I save the query I get the message "Could not parse: Error parsing expression -- expected ")" but saw "OR" instead."
Here is the actual query:
((((Project.Name = "Project A") OR (Project.Name = "Project B")) OR (Project.Name = "Project C")) OR (Project.Name = "Project D"))
I checked Rally's so-called Help and it seems to me that everything is set up correctly, but maybe I'm missing something?
Your query syntax and parentheses groupings look fine. I tested your exact string above in a Custom Grid and it parses fine - no "Could not parse..." error. Maybe compare the exact query you are using against your sample above? Complex AND's and OR's can definitely be frustrating. If you miss a parenthesis or spaces around operators, the query engine will complain.
fyi, I just found that doing a page reload in the browser forces the changed query expression to be evaluated, whereas simply saving the modified query does not reliably re-evaluate the changed query.
The symptom I observed was that query results continued to complain about the previous query string, even though I had replaced parts of the query with different named fields, etc. This made me suspect browser caching, and when flushing cache did not help, then I did browser page reload, which worked perfectly.
So if your browser page was reloaded between when you were having the problem and later when it started working, then this might explain why.
