How to set content-type in Rest Client step - pentaho

I'm using the Rest Client as below,
But every time I have the same error message
HTTP Error 400. The request has an invalid header name.
When I use the same config in postman client, (Content-Type:application/x-www-form-urlencoded) I've success message.
What I have to do ?

This might be somewhat reviving an old question, however:
In the headers tab on the Rest Client step the field column refers to a data field in your input stream to this step. The Name refers to the Name of the header. In the screenshot you've added you're trying to add a header called ${CONTENT_TYPE} with the value as contained in your stream field content-type.
Your first step appears to be a data grid. That grid needs to be supplying a field that you reference as your content-type header. If it can't come from that grid you need to inject a step (something like Add Constant) that will add the content-type header.
Hope it helps.

Mule 4: uriParams size is showing as 0 even though it is there

So I created a endpoint inside the raml file such as:
/proxy:
/{proxyDestinationTarget}:
uriParameters:
proxyDestinationTarget:
type: string
example: "myurl.com"
post:
description: Pass through operation that targets IAA
is: [client-credentials-required,standard-error-responses,traceHeaders]
and then inside of the logic.xml in my variable component I have
attributes.uriParams.'proxyDestinationTarget'
when I send the request in postman and debug i am getting a uriParams size of 0
the url i entered in postman is
https://localhost:8092/proxy/uat.something.somethingElse.com/Assign/Assignment.svc
but if i send a request like this :
https://localhost:8092/proxy/uat.something.somethingElse.com
I get a uriParam size = 1 which is what I want. I guess the / is whats causing the problem. how can I pass url as uri param with escape characters???
It looks like you are not sending an URL that matches the RAML definition in the first case.
For the URL:
https://localhost:8092/proxy/uat.something.somethingElse.com/Assign/Assignment.svc
The RAML defined that the API should expect /proxy/{proxyDestinationTarget} but it is receiving something like /proxy/{proxyDestinationTarget}/Assign/Assignment.svc, where {proxyDestinationTarget} is uat.something.somethingElse.com, but nothing matches /Assign/Assignment.svc. The API should include those two last components too to match. It is not escaping them, they probably need to be defined.

attributes.headers getting lost after a http Request call in Mulesoft?

I am getting some attributes in an API but all getting lost after an HTTP request connector in mule4.
why is it happening?
Look in the connector's configuration properties -> advanced tab for the connector configuration (in this case the HTTP connector's "request" operation) and you'll find a target variable and target value. If you fill in the target with a name - this does an enrichment to avoid overwriting the Mule message. If you leave it blank (the default) it will save the message (attributes, payload) over the top of the existing one - which is what you're seeing now. This mirrors the old mule 3 functionality, but sometimes you want it to leave what you have there alone.
So for the target value you get to pick exactly what gets saved.. If you want just payload: put that in. If you want both payload and attributes - I'd use "message" as that will mean you get both payload and attributes saved in the variable. Of course you may not want as much saved, so feel free to put in whatever dataweave expression you like - so you could even create something with bits from anywhere like:
{
statusCode: attributes.statusCode,
headers: attributes.headers,
payload: payload
}
A connector operation may replace the attributes with those of the operation. If you need to preserve the previous attributes you need to save them to a variable.
This is a default behaviour of MuleSoft. Whenever request crosses to transport barrier it losses existing attributes. You need to preserve attribute before HTTP Request.

Include request parameters in URL when using Postman

I need to fire some requests using Postman but I need to include the parameter in the URL.
What I need:
https://serveraddress/v1/busride/user/favorites/route/RanDOMid
What I currently can configure in Postman:
https://serveraddress/v1/busride/user/favorites/route/?id=RanDOMid
I do not control the server, so I need to work it out how to craft the request in Postman to accept the input data as part of the URL, not as parameter. How can I specify input data in Postman to get it included in URL?
Click on Manage Environment
Add variable as path with Initial and current value as RanDOMid
Add path to URL:
https://serveraddress/v1/busride/user/favorites/route/{{path}}
#User7294900's answer should do for you in case all you want to do is include a variable in your request URL.
However, if you want to actually generate a random ID for every request, you may use {{$guid}} or {{$randomInt}} directly in you URL as follows:
https://serveraddress/v1/busride/user/favorites/route/{{$guid}}
This will generate a random GUID every time your request is fired and the generated GUID will replace {{$guid}} in your URL.
or
https://serveraddress/v1/busride/user/favorites/route/{{$randomInt}}
This will generate a random integer between 0 and 1000 every time your request is fired and the generated integer will replace {{$randomInt}} in your URL.
Refer postman documentation for more details - https://www.getpostman.com/docs/v6/postman/environments_and_globals/variables
Hope this helps!

Failed to respond to incoming message using data source row correlation

I am totally new to Parasoft virtualize. I created a virtual asset and added three fields in my data source correlation, My request xml has 4 fields. I am getting this error after processing the request.
<Reason>Failed to respond to incoming message using data source row correlation</Reason>
<Details>Values in incoming message did not match values in the data source "GetSubscriptionOperationsRequest"</Details>
Any suggestions on what might be the problem here?
The message which you are getting explains your problem.
The virtual asset cannot correlate your request with data in your data source to build response.
Try to send request with one of the values from column used for Datasource's corelation in your responder.
That value should be in request's filed used by correlation.
Maybe you should try to add catch all responder to see if you have correct corelation between incoming requests and your responder.
You can also ask Parasoft's technical support for help.

correct Http Request header field to pass some flags

Can someone suggest correct HTTP request header field to use to pass some flag using Rest API call. Can I use 'expect' request element for this use case?
Use Case:
Read client request header-->read the flag(say value is 1 or 0) --> do task A for value=1 or task B for value=0
No, that is not an appropriate use of the Expect header. Depending on your exact use case, you can use (a) a custom header, (b) a query parameter, or (c) embed the flag in the entity being sent to the server. Without more information, it's impossible to say which is most appropriate for your situation.
