Process unexpectedly closed with status 1 - selenium

I am running selenium tests with selenium 3.8.0 and geckodriver 0.19.1. During the run some tests pass fine, while for other tests I get the error:
Process unexpectedly closed with status 1
My question: In which code file is this error thrown?
I am not asking for a solution of my problem as I doubt anyone can help. All I am asking is the source code which throws the error so I can debug it myself.

Mocha, Electron: Errors in testing

I was testing my electron app with mocha and got this error several times (and I'm still getting it!). Every time I run the program it returns with the error
> Executing task: npm run test <
> forte#1.0.0 test PATH TO PROJECT
> mocha ./tests/test.js
0 passing (3ms)
Test failed Failed to create session.
unknown error: Chrome failed to start: was killed.
(unknown error: DevToolsActivePort file doesn't exist)
(The process started from chrome location \node_modules\spectron\lib\launcher.bat is no longer running, so ChromeDriver is
assuming that Chrome has crashed.)
Just in case this is important, the part which says (The process started from chrome location \node_modules... actually had the whole path, not just that.
In my test.js file I have the code from the spectron home page, which you can view here. What is wrong with the test files?

I am Facing this Issue after running First Webdriver script [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:
Unable to import org.openqa.selenium.WebDriver using Selenium and Java 11
(1 answer)
Closed 3 years ago.
I'm getting the following error :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problems:
WebDriver cannot be resolved to a type. ChromeDriver cannot be resolved to a type at firstproject/firstprojetone.MyLatestClass.main(MyLatestClass.java:14)
I have Installed Java 11.0.2 version, Ecllipse IDE 2018-12(64 Bit) and Lib and Configured with ecllipse IDE.
Java programs are executing successfully.
In general, in case of any problems with your import or package name, it results in the exception. Deletion of the package name or fixing import errors might help resolving the issue.
The problem may be even clear, if you can share your code
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problems: WebDriver cannot be resolved to a type.
You need to add selenium webdriver jar files to the project to get rid of that
right click on project-->goto build path-->configure build path-->click on "Add external jars"-->add selenium jar files from your local machine-->click ok-->now mouseover on WebDriver in your code-->click "import webdriver"--now run your code-->you will get rid of the exception.
After adding your jar you need to do some modification as per your comments i found, you write
driver.get("google.com");
and it will throw error invalid URL. you need to use below syntax.
driver.get("https://www.google.com");
Hope this helps.

Selenium Exception with no stack trace (grunt / protractor / selenium)

I try to run grunt test, and Selenium exits without closing the browser. I am unable to see where the exception is coming from.
grunt test

All of my tests are passing. I even added logs to prove the final test passes and exits without exception.
I tried to up my logging from "dots" to "progress" but it doesn't change anything. Any ideas?

Jenkins return job status SUCCESS when the test failed

I am automating my protractor integration tests using Jenkins. When some of the tests fails Jenkins weeps saying that the result was successful. This is my output:
24 specs, 1 failure
Finished in 64.079 seconds
Shutting down selenium standalone server.
[launcher] 0 instance(s) of WebDriver still running
[launcher] chrome #1 failed 1 test(s)
[launcher] overall: 1 failed spec(s)
[launcher] Process exited with error code 1
Test failed but keep the grunt process alive.
Done, without errors.[39m
Terminating xvnc.
$ vncserver -kill :28
Killing Xtightvnc process ID 24369
Finished: SUCCESS
I don't know if my problem is selenium or grunt related.
Does any one know what can be the problem? Thanks in advance!
Looks like this Jenkins job is not set up properly, I suggest you review your Job Configuration.
After some research I found out the problem.
I am using "grunt-protractor-runner" library. It has an option call "keepAlive" and it was set to true. This caused the process to continue even is something was wrong and not passing the error code to grunt.
After set it up to false everything behave as expected.

SeleniumRC FF3.5.x-3.6 lock file troubles

With Selenium RC 1.0.1, and FF3.5.x or 3.6 I keep seeing this error when trying to run any test,
Failed to start new browser session:
Unable to delete file

when running the server with either,
java -jar selenium-server.jar -multiwindow
or
java -jar selenium-server.jar
Any one found a way to run a selenium RC test against those version of FF? Here's the full stack trace,

Restarting the browser, and clearing the cache didn't help. Using FF 3.0.x works just fine.
Seems seleniumRC 1.0.2 just came out today with claimed support for FF3.6 and such. Is working for me.
I was able to fix this issue by following these instructions:
http://jira.openqa.org/browse/SRC-507
This is for an older version of Selenium, but it works just the same. I am having to use 1.0.1 (for IE compatibility) and it has the MaxVersion of FF at 3.5. It was throwing the same error as above.
I changed the various files to '3.6' and it works now.
I just downloaded Selenium RC 1.0.3, and it did NOT fix the problem for me.
