When is the JVM's JIT CodeCache reclaimed? Does anyone know? - jvm

I recently encountered a JIT error: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: CodeCache is full. Compiler has been disabled. This caused my application to run slowly. My JDK version is Oracle JDK1.7.0_79. The default CodeCache size is 48m and I modified the size with -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=256M. But I don't know when CodeCache was recycled. Does anyone know?

A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: SIGBUS while installing ZAP proxy in parrot home OS

I was trying to install the ZAP proxy in my parrot home OS, but I'm unable to install it and the error that I'm receiving in the terminal is as follows:

The crash you observed is possibly not a zap or java issue but a debian issue.
Deep Dive
However as per the documentation in What versions of Java are supported? page, ZAP should be able to run with all/newer Java versions, but might require a minimum for certain ZAP versions:
ZAP 2.7.0 and later requires a minimum of Java 1.8
ZAP 2.0.0 and later requires a minimum of Java 1.7
Previous versions of ZAP also support Java 1.6, the last of those being 1.4.1
Additionally, as per the documentation in Download ZAP page:
The Windows and Linux versions require Java 8 or higher to run.
The macOS version includes Java 8 - you can use the Linux or Cross Platform versions if you do not want to download this.
Finally, as per the documentation in Release 2.9.0 page:
This is a bug fix and enhancement release, which requires a minimum of Java 8. Note that a minimum of Java 11 is recommended, especially for high DPI displays.

Unable to start the JVM - Windows 7

Our company IT recently went through an upgrade and I don't know what else they changed to the defaults but Excel 2013 32-bit (w/ MATLAB Compiler Runtime add in) crashes multiple times a day and it's driving me crazy.
I looked through the solutions to other similar questions but still having no luck. The exact error that I'm receiving is attached in the picture below. I've tried editing the environment variable to various amounts and checked that the free physical memory is available (has 16G total and usually half is free)
Running java -version in the command prompt returns:
java version "1.7.0_51"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_51-b31)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode)
The Java Control Panel Runtime Environment Settings reference javaw.exe but I changed the environment variables on both the java.exe and javaw.exe (in both Program Files and Program Files (x86).
Unable to start the JVM.
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx1024m -Xms512m
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for budget heap
There is not enough memory to start up the Java virtual machine.
Try quitting other applications or increasing your virtual memory
It says it does not have enough space.
Change the setting for JVM Maximum Memory to 1024M
-Xmx1024m
Are there such setting for your plugin ? You might want to Google "JVM heap size settings for Excel MAtlab plugin".
Please take a look at this question as well. (Increase default heap size for windows)
Hope this helps!

JVM Fatal Error

I have updated by JDK 4 months back to 1.6.0_45 in my SOLARIS SPRAC Machine, till yesterday it went well without any issues, but yesterday unfortunately i got an fatal error as below and the instance get crashed, as a work around i have restarted my server instance and it up and running fine now.
I need to know,
whats the exact root cause for this error?
How to investigate this ?
How can i avoid this in near future?

Your JVM did crash inside libjvm.so, while doing GC. You can try changing the GC methodology (for example, try using -XX:+UseParallelOldGC) as meanwhile alternative. Else best bet would be to update the JVM.

No unprofiled JVM found

I have WebSphere 7 Aplication Server. There is Java VM 1.6 installed. Linux.
Java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build pxa6460sr10fp1-20120321_01(SR10 FP1))
IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 Linux amd64-64 jvmxa6460sr10fp1-20120202_101568 (JIT enabled, AOT enabled)
J9VM - 20120202_101568
JIT - r9_20111107_21307ifx1
GC - 20120202_AA)
JCL - 20120320_01
I try to use jProfiler, using trial lisence. But don't want to change something on the server this time.
So I download jprofiler for linux to my server.
Then I run bin/jpenable and it says that:
No unprofiled JVM found
Now I don't know what to do, googling doesn't give any useful result. Can You tell me in what way I must search a problem? May be incorrect path or something else. I hope You'll understand my english (it is not so good).
Have a look at this help pdf, in specifically check out Attach to local JVM session.
Also, have a look at this answer and this question.
hope it will help..

JMeter not working after increasing the heap size beyond 1577 Mb

When I tried to increase the JVM heap size to to 2048 Mb, it throws an exception while initializing the JVM. I have tried it on both 32-bit & 64-bit OS but was able to get the solution. Also, please tell me if installing the 64-bit JVM or JRE will solve the problem or not.
Can someone also let me know, how to find which version of JRE I'm currently running?
The memory limit is here: Java maximum memory on Windows XP
The version is java -version
