how to refresh TreeViewer and expand nodes as last time? - eclipse-plugin

I have a puzzle. When I call the refresh() method to refresh the TreeViewer after saving the file each time,like this treeViewer.refresh() , it always shows only the root element.
Before refresh
After refresh
I think it is necessary to write a method that refreshes and expends the node last time.like this
The code I tried to implement this method is as follows:
Object[] expanded = treeViewer.getExpandedElements();
treeViewer.getControl().setRedraw(false);
treeViewer.refresh();
treeViewer.setExpandedElements(expanded);
treeViewer.getControl().setRedraw(true);
But this method did not achieve the desired effect,And the content of the variable expanded gets correctly.I want to know if my method is correct? How should the correct method achieve this function? Or how to modify?

Apex, Dynamic action, Confirm action, not picking up correct text - what am I missing?

I'm obviously missing something and hoping someone might be able to help.
I've an Interactive Grid, and a button.
When the button is pressed the dynamic action on the button has 2 steps.
Action 1 - Execute Javascript to take a value from one of the IG cells and put it into a page item.
Action 2 - Confirm Action - Are you sure you wish to delete &P10_JOB_ID.
I've made the page item, &P10_JOB_ID, visible and I can see the value has correctly been changed to the value from the IG.
I write P10_JOB_ID into a database table - I get the correct value
But the confirm message isn't picking up the correct value from P10_JOB_ID.
Namely it uses the value in P10_JOB_ID when the page starts, but then as I move around the IG pressing the button and changing the value of P10_JOB_ID, the text in the confirm message never changes.
Can anyone suggest what I might have missed, I'm baffled.
Thanks a lot
Substitutions like &P10_JOB_ID. are made when the page is rendered, not dynamically, so reflect the value at time of page load.
You will need to use Javascript to perform the conform action, something like:
apex.page.confirm ('Are you sure you wish to delete ' + $v('P10_JOB_ID') + '?', 'DELETE');
$v is an APEX Javascript function that returns the current value of a page item.
I used 'DELETE' as an example of a request value; you may want to do something different here.
Ok - having the setting of value and confirm as 2 separate actions is what causes the problem.
As per fac586
That is the expected behaviour. Static text substitutions are performed once during page show processing. They are not evaluated dynamically in the browser at runtime as values change.
Drop the second action and extend the first to display the confirm dialog using the apex.message.confirm JS API method, accessing the item value using the $v shorthand method.

Why jqgrid URL is invoked only one time?

I have a javascript function in which i receive a value of drop down. function is below:
function SetTemplateId(id) // this method is called on drop down change event
{
templateId=id; // template id is global variable
showjqgrid(); //this method show the Jqgrid
}
ShowJqgrid method is below
function showjqgrid()
{
$("#grid").jqGrid({
datatype: 'json',
url: '/Home/DynamicGridData?id='+templateId,
........
}
jqgrid is works fine but the problem is when "setTemplateid" function is called first time it works fine and data is show correctly and after first time when i change drop down value the "setTemplateId" function is called(i checked by alert()) and showgrid is also called but the URL is not invoked. If i destroy jqgrid in "setTemplateId" function then jqgrid is not shownn. If i reload jqgrid then also the data show only first time. I debuged it. Only first time action method is called. After that its not called. What is the problem?
The reason is very easy. The function showjqgrid convert empty table <table id="grid"></table> in relatively complex structure of divs and tables. After that jqGrid makes request to the url.
So you have two main options (alternatives) to fix the problem:
include call of GridUnload method as the first line of showjqgrid. It will destroy the complex structure of divs and tables created previously and reduce there to one empty <table>.
you can create grid once. On the next time you should update url parameter using setGridParam and then trigger reloadGrid which will update the content of the grid holding the outer part unchanged.
Additionally I would recommend you to read the old answer which shown how to use postData parameter of jqGrid where the properties are defined as functions. I suppose that templateId which you use as the value of id parameter of url will be evaluated in some way inside of dropdown change event. So you can consider to do this inside of the function defined inside of postData.id. In the case you could use url: '/Home/DynamicGridData and the part ?id='+templateId will be appended by jqGrid.

QTP - Checking dynamic pages

I'm trying to check if a value is contained in the innertext of a webelement but I'm having a little problem: frames seem to change at every refresh of the pages.
These are the steps I've recorded:
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_header").Image("Gestione Anagrafiche").Click<br>
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_appl").WebEdit("pdrBean.pdrPod").Set parameter("POD")<br>
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_appl").WebButton("Cerca").Click
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_appl_2").Image("show_files").Click
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_appl_6").Image("Lente").Click
cctype = Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_appl_7").WebElement("arrow_down").GetROProperty("innertext")<br>
DataAct = Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_appl_7").WebElement("arrow_down_2").GetROProperty("innertext")<br>
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("dme2_header").Image("Gestione Anagrafiche").Click
The frames "dme2_appl6" and "dme2_appl7" changes at every refresh of the two pages.
The question is simple: how can I rewrite these two actions to make them universal?
I've tried to do something like:
Set objFrame = Frame("title:=dme2_appl_.")
and then
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").objFrame.Image("Lente").Click
But QTP gives me an error in return: "property or method not supported by the object"
Please try using the below code
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Image("Lente").Click
Avoid using the "Frame" and if you really want to use it, put regex for name property of Frame.
Go to Object Properties--> Click on the Frame object --> Mandatory Properties--> Change name property as
like iFrame_213123123 to i.*
Hope this will solve your problem.
I don't think you can use a frame object that way. When you write Page().Frame() UFT sets the frame's parent in different way than if you first create the Frame.
Think of Frame() as a function that behaves differently when called on a Page or as a free function.
Try:
Browser("SystemPage").Page("SystemP").Frame("title:=dme2_appl_.")

web2py SQLFORM accepting too fast

I have a web2py SQLFORM that gets generated and returned by an AJAX call and the form is put in a DIV I defined.. I want that SQLFORM to be an update form, not an insert form. The problem is the form immediately runs it's accept function once it is written to that DIV. This doesn't happen if the form is for inserting, only updating. That initial accept fails and hitting the submit button does not allow for a second accept.
I don't know why the accept fails or why it happens immediately.
heres the JavaScript function that makes the AJAX call
function displayForm(currID){
//Remove everything from the DIV we want to use
$('#window').empty();
//Call the ajax to bring down the form to update the series
ajax('{{=URL('newForm')}}/'+currID,
[], 'window');
}
And here is the newForm controller
def newSerForm():
record = db.myTable(request.args[0])
form = SQLFORM(db.myTable, record, fields=['series_name','image_thumbnail'])
if form.accepts(request.vars,session):
print 'Series update successful!'
else:
print 'Series update Failed...'
return form
displayForm is fired by clicking a button and once you do the form accepts and fails and the submit button doesn't work again. Is there a way to make an SQLFORM do this? The weird thing is if I change this to make inserts into myTable, it works fine. It behaves exactly as it should. But doing it this way doesn't work.
Ok now this is where it gets weird.
I tried to achieve the same functionality here with a totally different approach, an iFrame. I made new functions in my controllers that create the form based on request.args[0]. looks like this
def editEntry():
print request.args[0]
record = db.myTable(request.args[0])
form = SQLFORM(db.CC_user_submission, record, fields=['series_name', 'image_thumbnail']).process()
return dict(form=form)
And then a corresponding HTML page that just displays form. What could be simpler right? I go to that page based on a link that gives the correct argument. Take me to a page with a form for updating. Updating works perfect. Great, now lets put it in an iFrame instead of linking to it. I put it in an iFrame on the original page. Open up the iFrame. Doesn't work. I have no idea what is going is there any part of an explanation to this?
By using the iFrame method I actually got this one to work. Since it required an iFrame to be appended with jQuery which needs quotes and the iFrame URL which also needs quotes, the notation got pretty confusing but it's doable. Looked like this:
var myURL = "{{=URL('editEntry')}}/"+idArg.toString();
$('#window').append("<iframe src = " + myURL + " width='450' height='400'> </iframe>");
It's not pretty but it works.

dojox.grid.DataGrid: how to access data from a click event?

I'm using Dojo 1.5 (including dojox). I have a dojox.grid.DataGrid where each row represents a user. When I click a row, I want to redirect to a URL like /users/USER_ID. The user ID is one of the fields in the grid, so all I need to do in my onRowClick callback is to grab the user ID for the row that was clicked.
The click event contains a rowIndex property, and, indeed, I found a (rather old) post elsewhere that suggested I should be able to do:
var row = dijit.byId('grid').model.getRow(e.rowIndex);
/* (Then grab the 0th field of the row, which is the user ID.) */
(Sorry, I've since lost the URL.)
But my grid object has no model attribute. What's up with that? Has the API changed? (My grid certainly is populated with data, which I can see, click, sort by column, et cetera).
So I'm stuck for now. Note, BTW, that it won't work to use rowIndex to directly access the grid's underlying dojo.data.ItemFileReadStore. That's because the grid is sortable, so there's no guarantee that the grid's rows will be in the same order as the store's.
Any hints would be deeply appreciated. I hope that the question is clear, and sufficiently general that any answers can help others in my predicament. Many thanks.
I have a similar scenario and I grab the value like this:
onRowClick: function(e) {
open_link(my_grid._getItemAttr(e.rowIndex, 'object_path'));
}
In this case my_grid is a reference to the datagrid and object_path is the column where I store the path to the object. open_link is of course a custom function of mine that as it implies, requests a server path.
So just change the specifics to suite your case and you should be fine.
