I have created shopify site now i want to create backup system for it.
I want to know is there is any way to create backup of each and everything daily basic on my local computer by default. Actually i don't want to depend on plugins
You can create a private App for yourself in your shop. With those credentials you are free to use the Shopify API to download all the assets of your shop to your local computer. Consider that a backup. Note that you cannot as of yet download your navigation links, but that is pretty much the only thing you cannot backup.
You will find this to be a challenge, backing up your site.

I am working on customizing the oracle service cloud customer portal, but since OSvC provides only WebDAV to connect to it. It is very time-consuming to edit files and then upload them to WebDAV even for a single word change.
I am looking for a solution to serve it locally make desired changes and then upload the desired code to webDEV.
But after searching the file structure I can not make which framework it uses, I tried to use websites like https://builtwith.com/ and WhatRuns but they are also not able to find anything useful.
Although after searching in the file structure, I find some files of CodeIgnitor but the structure is way more different than the CodeIgnitor folder structure.
The short answer is no, you will not be able to run Customer Portal locally. While it is a fork of CodeIgniter from many years ago, there are server-side dependencies that will prevent you from running it in a local sandbox.
That said, it is possible to automate many of the manual tasks of interacting with WebDAV for change testing. If you edit locally, then you can use scripting hooks or event RPA robots to automate some of the manual file movement. Personally I have a flow to edit remotely in my test environment with an editor (like VSCode or Nova) that can connect to a remote server via WebDAV and edit files directly in the development area of a site. Then, when finished, I have a script that pulls down the latest version of all files and then allows me to commit changes to Git for SCM.
Another option is RPA. You can develop a robot that can be run to automate the manual tasks that you face in your workflow. Personally, I think that scripting is a better solution than RPA since you can automate all of the actions via scripting or a shell. But, it's another option to consider.
Another way of "Live editing" the OSvC CP code is to connect to WebDav via a software that supports it like Mountain Duck which uploads your code to OSvC on save.
OR use the better solution Windows Explorer which supports connecting to WebDav and treating it like a network drive, by going on My Computer -> Computer -> Map Network Drive then put https://yoursite.custhelp.com/dav/cp click Next then you'll be promoted to login using your OSvC login.
I have never worked with shopify before but I have experience with other CMS's.
I recently got a client with a website already live and with some quick research, I see that I need to create a private app and manage the site with themekit.
What I need help with is how to properly set up a staging/dev environment to view the changes I make before pushing the changes into production.
Thanks!
Make a theme backup by duplicating your current theme. and make code changes in to this theme ( you can preview your changes without affecting live theme/store) when you and your client happy with the changes you can publish this theme to live.
Have a look how to backup / duplicate theme.

Hope this will help
I am developing an application which needs to fetch some data from an XML file for the automatic update process and for some other functions. This approach requires the files to be located in a direct link, so it can be hard-programmed to use that specific URL.
I heard that you can use a lot of free-to-use file-sharing services such as Google Drive, Box and Dropbox. Can you tell me if it's true or not? And are there any other services beside those I mentioned?
I don't need a web hosting that supports PHP and other frameworks, I just want to store files and make my application access it when required.
Yes, both Dropbox and Google Drive provide web hosting of your public folders, but there is a 10GB bandwidth limit with Dropbox.
You can use any free web hosting like 110mb or 5gbfree too.
You can try github, bitbucket or mega.co.nz
I am very new to PHP. I downloaded the software from prestashop and developed my site.
Is it possible to integrate payment gateways from EBS or CCavenue? because I want to use any one of them in my prestashop site. I found posts related to PayPal only.
Please let me know the possibilities.
EBS integration is quite straight-forward for prestashop. Once you get EBS account, go over to downloads section and you can get the EBS module for prestashop there. Download it, unzip and copy the folder named "EBS" to your modules directory.
Post this, you can see EBS as available module in admin. Install it, and add credentials in configuration section. You could start using TEST mode almost instantly. Good luck with your website.
now there is a readymade ccavenue prestashop module that works with the old and latest version of Prestashop. You can download this here http://addons.prestashop.com/en/payments-gateways-prestashop-modules/21391-ccavenue.html
I made a small backup application that simply creates an archive out specified files and folders. Now I need an online service to backup that online. Which service can i use that can be integrated into my app ?
Options I considered:
dropbox is ideal, but they have all but abandoned the desktop.
skydrive has no api.
I couldn't find any free reliable backup service that uses ftp .
anything else ? it should provide 1-2 gb of free space and be reasonably reliable.
Thanks
My app is in C#, but can be ported to any other language as well..
In your case, Amaxon's S3 seems more fitting but that's not free.
Depending on your target audience, you can create a local archive and have that picked up by your regular backup solution. You might try Wuala,or SpiderOak. Expand Wuala by adding your own space. Spideroak is free up to 2GB (more if you invite friends), and also provides a good alternative to Dropbox (if you want to see how to migrate from dropbox to spideroak see my blogpost about that).
Try box.net, now known as box.com or simply Box
