How to setup ISV Local cache using local host & ISV Client Agent - apache

I was going through the MS Doc https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-server-update-services/deploy/express-update-delivery-isv-support
where it talks about setting up Express installation through WSUS Server. I'm able to setup 'ISV file cache using HTTP Server' and No idea about the second method.i.e. 'ISV Local cache using local host & ISV Client Agent' Can some one help me in setting up the second scenario. Or redirect me to some documents where I can get helps.

I had to run a local server in agent machine, This can be of any web server which serves http requests. with python we can have a up and running http server with one line of code.

What is the difference between Local Server and a Web Server?

Hi i am new to Web Services. Here is my doubt
1) If i am hosting my website then their should be a web server which should keep my website into that this also we are calling server..
2) If i want to run PHP Program in my local system i should use Local Server lie XAMPP this also we are calling server.
My doubt is for example in local system i have downloaded Xampp and i am running my server side program.. but after uploading into server how its working
also AWS, Proxy is which server???
All the servers are confusing a lot
Both web servers and local servers are just computers with software installed on them.
Not much more.
That said a web server is a computer that is connected to the internet and has some kind of a web server software installed on it.
The most common one is an HTTP server software that can serve web pages.
For example, Apache, Nginx are both HTTP servers that can serve both static and dynamic web pages to browser across the world.
Another web server can be FTP, IRC, NTP, SMTP/IMAP/POP3 (mail servers) are all web servers that just have different software installed on them and so they serve other purposes.
A local server is again a computer that serves a client within the local network or LAN.
That means that in most cases it will not be connected to the internet or if it does it will be protected with a password so not everybody can access its services.
It can act as a file server or LDAP server that are roles of a typical local server but it can also be a local web server that holds web-based application only for the local organization.
For example, a company will have a local web server with Salesforce installed on it to serve it's CRM needs.
To make a long story short both servers are just computers connected to a network. Local servers are connected to the LAN and Web Servers are connected to the WAN. Other than that it really depends on the software you install on them and the use you want to make of them.
If you need more clarification, leave a comment and I'll try to help.

After successful installation of Windows azure pack I am trying to install Windows Azure Pack: Web Sites v2 U6.
I am able to install most of the servers to the Website controller. All below servers are in ready state so there is no issue of installation error.
Management server
Front end server
Publication server
File server.
but while adding Worker server, it's added perfectly and start the installation process. At stage when it reach at the installation it seems like it is not getting some connection string. The information is below.

I also tried to repair Frontend server as mention in on Microsoft forum but it will not help.
Here's Microsoft forum link
Any trick or guideline will be appreciated
Thanks,

I have found that my Front end server is not accessible from management server and web site controller. It is DNS server that not resolving named correctly (Accessed by IP address but not accessed by server name). Also by using klist tickets I have fount that front end server doesn't have Kerberos ticket available on the list.
For the solution what I have done is, I removed front end server from Web site controller and after that I remove it from Domain controller. Then I rejoin it again to domain. After that I tried it to access it by using it's name from management server and website controller. For example,\FRONTEND\C$. Then I first added FrontEnd server and then Web Worker Server and now it get's connection string properly and added with "Ready" status.
Hope this will help someone.
Thanks you very much for point out. It is hectic from more then a week.

Using Apache as cache server for images from third-part server

I’m looking to run Apache as a cache server for static images. If requited image is missed locally on the server the server should download it from the third-part server and store it locally prior to responding to the request.
So when client sends request
http://myserver/static/images/image1.jpg
and the image is missed locally (i.e /var/www/static/images/image1.jpg is missed) the server
Download the image from the another server
http://third-partserver/static/images/image1.jpg
Store it locally at /var/www/static/images/image1.jpg
Return the image to the client
Is there any way to make it possible by using existed Apache modules and configurations only without writing any specific code?

how HTTPS request is handled by IIS server

I am trying to understand the working of HTTP , IIS and sql server.
I am having an IIS 7 server in my environment which is interacting with a sql database server.
The architecture is
Apache ----> IIS -----> SQL server
The Apache is a reverse proxy server which is sending the HTTP request to the IIS server and from there IIS server is interacting with the SQL database connecting by different application pools for different applications.
My query is if some request has been forwarded by the Apache server and it has reached the IIS ; after that, if the network between the Apache and IIS is having any packet drops ;
Will that have any affect to the performance of IIS and database server?
Will there be any long running queries in the worker process of the IIS? Because my concern is what will happen after the queries that has successfully executed in the Database server. But since the network between the IIS and Apache is broken how can they be forwarded further to the Apache and further to the end user.
Will these queries keep on holding the resources till they are forwarded from IIS to Apache? Because they have successfully completed their tasks but because of network issue they are not being forwarded further. Or are such request stacked up somewhere by the IIS to free up the resources for the upcoming requests??
Once a request has reached IIS it will go and do the required actions, and format the reply. It will try to send the reply to the requestor but if the link has gone, it will be unable to. It will then abandon the request. Resources it is holding for that request will be freed.
To get the data it had for you, Apache has to repeat the request.

How to transfer localhost to open server

I am trying to follow this tutorial. To train the Mahout engine they mention to use the command:
http://localhost:8080/kornakapi/train?recommender=itembased
This works. However I want to open up the server so that I can run this remotely. The code is running on a server at a specified IP address, let's call it 999.999.9.999. When I try
http://999.999.9.999/kornakapi/train?recommender=itembased
I get a 404 error. Obviously the server isn't setup to accept incoming connections (though phpMyAdmin works remotely). How can I setup the server to allow an external connection in this manner?
You need to configure your gateway to accept incoming requests. Access your modem and search for a setting that allows one computer on your LAN to open up all its ports. You have to enter in the computer's local IP
