Monitoring Solutions for IBM iSeries & AIX - aix

I'm curious to know if anyone out in StackOverflow works with monitoring solutions for the IBM iSeries & AIX? We're looking into solutions that provide a single-pane of glass into both systems, rather than two separate solutions.
Any thoughts or input is much appreciated.
Thanks!

Comparaison of Breach and Attack simulation solutions

I am currently looking for a proprietary Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) solutions or open-source threat simulators to automatically test a wide range of attacks and malicious activities, perform security audits and find security gaps in a company to strengthen its defense.
I planned to make a market research about the existing attack and breach simulation solutions by comparing their features to know which one will best fit the requirements of the company.
I managed to make a comparison of open source threat simulators because there are scientific articles (such as Zilberman P., Puzis R., Bruskin S., Shwarz S. and Elovici Y., SoK: A Survey of Open-Source Threat Emulators, Polina Zilberman, 3 March 2020). The articles make useful comparison between the open-source threat simulators and explain the procedure and steps to make the right choice among the existing open-source threat simulator according to the company's environment, objectives, operations, etc.
However, when it comes to proprietary BAS solutions, it is more difficult to make a meaningful comparison as they are highly expensive, close source and do not provide detailed documentation. I have found a few websites that rank the best BAS platforms such as the following sites:
https://roi4cio.com/catalog/en/products?categories=895
https://www.comparitech.com/net-admin/best-bas-tools/
https://www.esecurityplanet.com/products/breach-and-attack-simulation-bas-vendors/
https://www.peerspot.com/categories/breach-and-attack-simulation-bas
https://sourceforge.net/software/breach-and-attack-simulation-bas/
Based on these sites, I chose the following BAS vendors: SafeBreach, Picus Security, Cymulate, XM Cyber, AttackIQ, CyCognito. For each of them, a demo has been requested by putting in the user information like email address. Normally, I will get the demos for the next few days. Based on the demos, I hope it will be possible to compare the features of the different proprietary BAS products.
Does anyone know of any useful papers, articles, websites, posts or books that provide a detailed comparison or explanation of existing proprietary BAS solutions? Can anyone help me or advise me on how to obtain and search information about existing proprietary BAS solutions? In this way, it will be possible to choose the BAS solution that best suits the needs of the company.
Thank you very much,
Nicolas Gennart.
You can check the SANS whitepaper in the link. Advantages of Going Purple
Below is a link to an article from SafeBreach that may help. We have a wealth of resources on our website and I am more than glad to have a discussion with you about BAS solutions. Also, Gartner has invaluable resources that I can offer you. My email is ann.chesbrough#safebreach.com.Four Pillars of BAS

Do you know VFP report library for developers?

I'm looking for good report library for Visual FoxPro, but it seems that there is lot "old" solutions with bad documentation. Does anyone have experience with some VFP report library?
"old" solutions? Isn't it natural that a language whose last version was released on 2007 and even the latest hotfix release was in 2009 have solutions as "old"? What is old? 1,2, 10, or 20 years? Probably the VFP9's own reporting system, and the documentation written by Cathy Pountney is considered good by many including me.
There are other reporting solutions some of which are free and some of which are not. For example you might check out Report Sculptor (free) from my friend Djordjevic Srdjan. Or you might check out another from one of my other friend Rich Simpson Mind's Eye reporting engine (paid). I have been using Mind's eye for years and I found its documentation well. Report Sculptor too is documented enough IMHO.
Old/new, good/bad are relative terms and be different from person to person. With your measures, either you didn't see the default reporting tool and Cathy's doucmentation, and those two engines yet or your 'good' expectation is much above mine.
In our company we are using Eqeus report library. We had really great experience with them. They have good documentation and their customer support always helped us. I think that free solutions cannot beat commercial use for this purpose.
I can recommend www.eqeus.com for generating foxpro reports. They have also cloud report viewer and management.

Can I plug IBM Notes Applications into IBM Rational Synergy?

A client of mine is trying to have all software tracked by his Configuration Management System, IBM Rational Synergy. He wants to track one of his applications, based on several nsfs. I couldn't find anything on the Interwebs about this.
Do you have an idea of how to link a Notes application to a configuration management system? I'm kinda stumped.
I studied this with an expert in IBM Rational Synergy. The only way that seems practical to me would be to use a special plug-in which they have developped. But I wouldn't want to fiddle around with the Domino Designer either.
They also talked of the possibility of saving 'snapshots' of the design (i.e. save ntfs of the design on a regular basis), but I was recalcitrant to use that since really Notes Databases should always be in a notes-controlled environment.
Bottom line, IBM Rational Synergy does not look like a good fit for doing source control management of Notes Databases. I would definitely go with Subversion or even better with git.

Is Microsoft SQL Server the same as other SQL in terms of syntax?

I have a new job that requires me to know Microsoft SQL Server. I haven't dealt with SQL since college and even then my professor was really bad and i didn't even have any actual software SQL experience... we just wrote everything on pencil and paper
So I'm trying to learn as much as I can on the internet but nothing is coming up "specifically" for Microsoft SQL.
If i go over the SQL tutorials on say W3schools, does the majority of the syntax still apply to Microsoft's version? I'm kinda naive to this topic and I need to pick this up quick. Any specific advice on how I can go about learning this would be very helpful and would be much appreciated
Thank you
You will not be learning the wrong syntax on W3Schools, they both are quite similar but T-SQL may seen to be more "powerful" in some cases.
Apart from that, you may also want to look at MSDN Link for the tutorial from Microsoft;
look at TSql link for another T-SQL tutorial site;
look at here on pluralsight for video tutorials (not free),
or on this link this book would be a good starter guide for you.

Kodak Carestream PACS integration

just a shot in the dark here.
Does anyone here have any experience with coding an integration into Kodak's carestream (pacs) product?
I am trying to integrate into their COM server, but hitting issues with saving Key Images.
I just want to see if this is a suitable forum for asking carestream related queries.
Thanks!
