Is there a control available for something like this Keyboard in xaml or is this a custom control?
Thanks in advance.
No, none of the available input scopes looks like this. Must be a custom control that looks like a keyboard.

currently i'm developing an windows 10 uwp apps, and i'm getting trouble ini designing my apps
i'm planning to make some kind of a image slider or whatever it names, just like in the Store apps, on the top page. it looks like a banner slide or something.
but i hardly find it on tutorials anywhere in the internet nor in documentation.
i think and believe that this using a pivot, but i'm confuse how to style it. so if someone probably knows, how to achieve this, please kindly answer it.
thank you
you must use FlipView control.
Please check the documentation.

I am looking for a user control that implements the behavior that can be seen in various settings related pages in Windows 8 (e.g. in "PC Settings"\"PC and devices"\"Devices"): a list consisting of icons and a label, where an item is expanded when clicked upon, showing a button that provides an item related action.
Is there a suitable control available for Windows store apps? If not, what would be the most efficient way to implement this behavior?
are you looking for something similar to TreeView in WinrtXAMLToolkit ?
You can use FlyOut component.
Also you can find "in list flyout example" on internet.
I see the date picker control in WinRT JavaScript/HTML5. Where is that control for XAML?
The best one I've found (complete with templating and xaml friendly formatting options) is:
https://github.com/jasonmitchell/WinRT-XAML-DatePicker
There is no date picker control in the standard Windows 8.0 toolbox. However, look at the Callisto for many handy WinRT XAML controls, including the date picker control. https://github.com/timheuer/Callisto
You can inspect our package of WinRT components. It contains date picker component as well as a lot of other UI components: radial and plain menus, color picker, rating controls and so on. And it's totally free btw ;).
Note that Win 8.1 includes built-in XAML controls for DatePicker, TimePicker. So if you retarget your project to target Win 8.1 you will now get these controls.

At the moment, there isn't a official control for datetime picker in XAML. but it seem that microsoft will be coming up with one in the future. msdn
Syncfusion's WinRT Studio (Beta) includes a very, very good DatePicker and it's free to use.

You can find the following control that looks like the same as the javascript one:

Where can I find alternative button controls for vb.net Winform?
Not sure what you mean since you can just choose the font so that it's any size you want and I've not seen anyone else mention this problem so I'm not sure if anyone will have written any specific controls for it. However, if you want to customize the look other options would be to override the OnPaint and draw it yourself or create an image that contains the text and show that image instead of the text.
Vendors that offer button controls with more options than standard WinForms:
infragistics.com
telerik.com
devexpress.com
I'd recommend downloading trial versions and see if you can make their controls do what you are failing to accomplish with the built in button control
Or, you could create an image that shows the text you want and attach it to the button instead of text. This is not as ideal as if you can find a small readable font though!
A little bit late but it could be useful for other:

It supports a lot of button style like Office 2010, Windows 8 Metro, ...
is it advisable to play with the controls to make my form look like this or should i just use this graphic and place it in the background. if the former, then please suggest which controls on the form i can tweak to make the form look like this?

To create something like this, I would suggest moving from winforms to Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) if you have the option. There is much better support for creating these type of rich interfaces in WPF, although it does mean introducing a .NET 3.0+ requirement to your application.
