Google Blogger API : Fetch Blog Posts securely - api

I'm really new to Google API's, so bear with me. I am trying to fetch posts from my blog. Blog is set as private.
Problem lies here:
{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "usageLimits",
"reason": "ipRefererBlocked",
"message": "The calling IP address x does not match the IP restrictions configured on the API key. Please use the API Console to update your key restrictions.",
"extendedHelp": "https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials?project=x"
}
],
"code": 403,
"message": "The calling IP address x does not match the IP restrictions configured on the API key. Please use the API Console to update your key restrictions."
}
}
I got an google account where I have Blog, project in Google API Console and API key for it. I tried changing API key restriction to HTTP but same problem occurs, thou error message is slightly different.
Fetching works like this:
var apikey = "x";
var blogId = "x";
$(function(){
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url:"https://www.googleapis.com/blogger/v3/blogs/"+blogId+"/posts?key="+apikey,
dataType: "json",
success: function(data) {
console.log(data);
}
});
});
I double checked all variables and they are correct. API key is correct one, and so is BlogId.
With this stew console is giving me 403 error. I hope I'm being clear enough. Ill be fixing this post when answer is found :)

API key is used to access public data. Public data is data that is not owned by a user personally. Videos uploaded to YouTube as public for example.
Your blogger data is private user data. You are going to need to use Oauth2 to access it. Once you have authenticated using oauth2 you will need to use access_token={tokenfrom auth} instead of using Key.
I am not sure why the IP address isn't working I haven't actually bothered with that before.

Strapi API register returning a 400 error

I’ve been creating a web app with a login and a registration function and so far everything has been going great. I managed to connect the app to the api/auth/local api endpoint and send some nice post requests.
Now, I’ve been trying to send requests to the http://localhost:1337/api/auth/local/register endpoint and without any success. I’ve been doing this according to:
https://docs.strapi.io/developer-docs/latest/plugins/users-permissions.html#registration
I keep getting a 400 error:
{
"data": null,
"error": {
"status": 400,
"name": "ApplicationError",
"message": "An error occurred during account creation",
"details": {
}
}
}
If I try to send a request with an email that’s already registered in strapi, the response will give me the correct error:
{
"data": null,
"error": {
"status": 400,
"name": "ApplicationError",
"message": "Email is already taken",
"details": {
}
}
}
In the public and authenticated user roles, I’ve allowed every single one of them, for now.
Enable confirmation emails are set to false.
Email confirmation
Public user permission
For the headers, I’m using Content-type : application/json
the raw json body I'm posting:
{
"email": "manager1#strapi.io",
"password": "testtest1",
"username": "manager1"
}
This is my first project with strapi and so far it went pretty well. I’m not sure if I’m missing out on something or if I’m doing something else wrong.
Any help is appreciated!
I figured it out, it wasn’t as complicated as I expected.
In the user I had different fields, like firstName, lastName etc. All of these fields were required.
I made the fields not required, and now it works.

Facebook js api - "unsupported get request" error

I'm trying to get some (I think allowed) information in my app. I have an access token that has the following info:
App ID: <my app id> : iHOUSEListingPoster - Test 001
Type: User
App-Scoped User ID: <user id> : Joe Webb
Valid: True
Scopes: email, pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_posts, public_profile
I'm trying this:
FB.api( "/me",
"GET",
{fields: 'name'},
function(get_fb_info_response) {
console.log("Here: ", get_fb_info_response
});
And getting this error:
"Unsupported get request. Object with ID 'me' does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation"
I have tried with both "/me" and "/me/". And while I want name, picture and email, I tried limiting it to just name, and still. What am I missing here?
Try this:
FB.api('/me?fields=name', function(response) {
console.log('me', response);
});
I'm not sure if api function from FB does have this signature you're using.
Edit
After searching at Facebook docs, found that the signature you were using is valid as well. Then, I went to do some tests here. And I was able to reproduce the same error you have mentioned when calling the function like this:
FB.api("/<123>/", "GET", { fields: 'name' }, function(response) {
console.log('response', response);
});
To fix it, you need to remove < and >, for example:
FB.api("/123/", "GET", { fields: 'name' }, function(response) {
console.log('response', response);
});
Calling /me and /me/ endpoint returned no error in my test.
In this screenshot you can see the tests I have run directly at my browser's console.
Ok, I finally figured out what the problem is/was here (sheepish face). We have a couple of Facebook accounts here at the company. One is the container for my app and it's test app, the other is a more general company account. I was logged into the general company account. When I tried my app, it grabbed some random app from that account, which wasn't the app that matched the access token (which I think is possible wrong on Facebook's part), therefore this error was thrown.
Once I logged into the correct Facebook account, all works as expected.

kucoin websocket api, how to "subscribe" to their public channel, they say no authorization required, but they ask for a token :(

The question is about kucoin websocket public channel (not trades) just last trades
I just want a live feed of trades like other crypto exchanges...
but when I want to connect to "wss://ws-api-futures.kucoin.com/endpoint" I get WebSocketError: Received unexpected status code (401 Unauthorized)
the documentation https://docs.kucoin.com/futures/#create-connection lack explications :(
normally with other exchanges I can just do this in javascript
bybit_market_ws = new WebSocket("wss://stream.bybit.com/spot/quote/ws/v2");
bybit_market_ws.onmessage = event => bybit_trades(event.data);
bybit_market_ws.onopen = event => bybit_market_ws.send(JSON.stringify({"topic":"trade","params":{"symbol":"BTCUSDT","binary":false},"event":"sub"}));
function bybit_trades (jsonx) { console.log(JSON.parse(jsonx)); }
so how can I do that with kucoin websocket ?
according to the documentation i would need a "public token"...
but there is no explication on how to get that token :(
does someone knows how I would retrieve the last trades via websocket (public) channel ?
Note that the following steps may be changed when the API is updated.
All information can be found at https://docs.kucoin.com/#apply-connect-token
Get the public token
Send a empty http POST (GET will not work) message to https://api.kucoin.com/api/v1/bullet-public.
Response:
{
"code": "200000",
"data": {
"token": "2neAiuYvAU61ZD...",
"instanceServers": [
{
"endpoint": "wss://ws-api.kucoin.com/endpoint",
"encrypt": true,
"protocol": "websocket",
"pingInterval": 18000,
"pingTimeout": 10000
}
]
}
}
Connect to the Websocket
With the data of the repsonse above:
websocket: endpoint + "?token=" + token
Example: wss://ws-api.kucoin.com/endpoint?token=2neAiu....
Get all supported trading pairs
send a http GET message to https://api.kucoin.com/api/v1/symbols
{
"code": "200000",
"data": [
{
"symbol": "REQ-ETH",
"name": "REQ-ETH",
"baseCurrency": "REQ",
"quoteCurrency": "ETH",
...
},
{
"symbol": "BTC-USDC",
"name": "BTC-USDC",
"baseCurrency": "BTC",
"quoteCurrency": "USDC",
...
},
...
Get trading data
When the websocket connection is established send a http POST message:
{
"type": "subscribe", //subscribe or unsubscribe
"topic": "/market/ticker:BTC-USDT,BTC-USDC"
}
maybe this answer will not please you at all, but i will try, most of the people who work from the API in KuCoin do it with python, in fact the SDK for Nodejs is out of date, your best bet is to ask in the telegram channel https://t.me/KuCoin_API, there are KuCoin engineers who always help, although most of them use python, there is also the academy channel https://t.me/kucoin_learning, where there are examples, in short I can only mention references because I was also where you are, and the best I could do was that and review the SDk code and from there intuit and create my own adjustments
PD: the datafeed.js file is your best option, check it out https://github.com/Kucoin/kucoin-futures-node-sdk/blob/master/src/lib/datafeed.js

Foursquare API Error 403 - User not authorized to edit venue

We are trying to update details information for serveral Venues in behalf of our clients/users by using Foursquare API.
It works pretty well for most of the clients, and we are using their own personal oauth credentials most of the time.
BTW, we have a lot of problems with some clients/accounts, because we are getting this error when trying to update the venues:
{
"meta": {
"code": 403,
"errorType": "not_authorized",
"errorDetail": "User not authorized to edit venue",
"requestId": "59bba14e351e3d0e31fcf9f1"
},
"notifications": [
{
"type": "notificationTray",
"item": {
"unreadCount": 0
}
}
],
"response": {}
We’ve checked the API limits and everything it’s correct. We’ve also checked the account Oauth token several times and it’s correct. Even we are using the 'venues/managed’ endpoint to ensure that the given Oauth credential can manage the given Venue and everything looks fine.
Any idea about what's happening?

Linkedin token not valid

Here is a strange thing I am fighting against.
First of all I am using this simple-linkedinphp lib to perform API calls from my php backend.
I got a user access token from our IOS app which has the following structure:
{"access_token":"lettersAndSymbols","expires_in":5183999}
I store it in a variable called $token.
Then I try to get the user's profile with this token like this:
$linkedin = new \LinkedIn($this->linkedin_config);
$linkedin->setResponseFormat($linkedin::_RESPONSE_JSON);
$linkedin->setTokenAccess(array('oauth_token' => $token["access_token"], 'oauth_token_secret' => ""));
$linkedinUserJson = $linkedin->profile("~");
Then I get the response with error:
array(5) {
["linkedin"]=>
string(358) "{
"errorCode": 0,
"message": "[unauthorized]. The token used in the OAuth request is not valid. sameLettersAndSymbols",
"requestId": "74T6SY6ML6",
"status": 401,
"timestamp": 1376043937705
}
But when I try to open an api url in a browser with the same LettersAndSymbols like https://api.linkedin.com/v1/people/~?oauth2_access_token=LettersAndSymbols, I get the correct response with user object.
How can that be? Am I doing something wrong with the API lib?
I can see a problem in this line
$linkedin->setTokenAccess(array('oauth_token' => $token["access_token"], 'oauth_token_secret' => ""));
your must provide a secret to set the token access.
I found a nice example about Linkedin Integration, wich I like to share with you, I tested and it works just fine.
