Bluemix MobileFirst 8.0 Service "Initializing..." - ibm-mobilefirst

I have a MobileFirst Server 8.0 deployed in Bluemix as a CF app. Under Services I click on my MF Servcice and launch the "Service Details" screen. Under the Overview section, I see the "Starting the server" item with the following message
"This can take up to 10 minutes to complete You'll be able to use your server in a while" Initializing Server
This message never goes. It is in this state forever even though I am able to click on the "Launch Console" and go to the console and work with my apps and adapters.
Everything is fine except this annoying misleading message.
Any help is appreciated.

In all likelihood this is a visual bug, causing the banner to not disappear after the service has been initialized and the server started.
Try creating a new service instance and see if it goes away
Either way, if the server is functioning, you may disregard this.
This will be investigated anyway to make sure this won't happen.

Windows Server 2008 R2 error 1053 apache

I have a simple PHP application running on this server which allows other people to verify some information on-line. The apache was running OK until a few days back.
The application uses Postgrees and the apache service was configured by an add-on "Enterprise Db Apache", it was not configured by me and is connected to a portal to be shown on-line. This was kinda dropped on me and I had no prior knowledge or experience with databases nor servers and need to put it back on-line. How can I start to find out what made it stop?
Here's a link to the error I'm receiving when trying to start it back again:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12837412/Erro%201053.png
Tried updating .NET to no success,
I've searched around SO and all the threads I found were based on custom services people wrote, and found out that this error code is very generic, I'm very lost and have my neck on the chopping block.
EDIT: Tried some fixes suggested here but had no success. I'm thinking about reinstalling the service, is it a really bad idea? Is there a safe way of doing this without loss of data in the Database? Is there a tutorial on this here already?
The problem was with compatibility of the versions of C/C++ libraries in the server which lead to the programs related to the service not being able to start properly. A simple reinstalation of the compatible version of the libraries made the service able to be started again.
Maybe your service is taking longer time than 30 seconds (Windows default timeout) to start and report ready to the Service Control Manager. Usually this happens because of performance issues.
A possible solution for this is to extend it through the Registry.
Go to Start > Run > and type regedit
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
With the control folder selected, right click in the pane on the right and select new DWORD Value
Name the new DWORD: ServicesPipeTimeout
Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify
Click Decimal, type '180000', and then click OK
Restart the computer

MobileFirstPlatform 8.0 Push Configuration Error

Created MFP CF app in Bluemix. Push notification was also working fine with GCM. Today saw a messages that there is an update for MFP in the Bluemix dashboard and clicked "Recreate" button. Server was recreated and all my apps and adapters were gone. Then from my development environment pushed the app and adapters and went to console to configure push notification and add the GCM details. Found an error at the top and now I don't see the text box to add the "Server API Key" and "Sender ID"
Looks like the new update got this issue. Is there a way to fix it or backout and go to the previous version?
Any help would be appreciated.
There is work to assure that such events will not happen, however please note this very important notice about the Mobile Foundation Bluemix service, with the Developer plan:
https://mobilefirstplatform.ibmcloud.com/tutorials/en/foundation/8.0/bluemix/using-mobile-foundation/
Note: the Developer plan does not offer a persistent database, as such be sure to backup your configuration as explained in the Troubleshooting section.
Such data loss may occur.
For now you will need to reconfigure your GCM credentials in the console.

No WCF request is sent from Silverlight on client machine

My SL application is commercial and working just fine on hundreds of machines.
SL is using a WCF service and it works as expected, but today I observed behavior on client machine, where literally no call is made to server.
After you click button that sends a call, some error occures, and no record about WCF call is created in Fiddler.
Error is:
[HttpWebRequest_WebException_RemoteServer]
Arguments: NotFound
Debugging resource strings are unavailable...
I read about this error that people recommend to use Fiddler, but as I say there is no call displayed in Fiddler
So problem is worse than I thought initially.
It comes and goes. Currently we have found a working solution that fixes the problem after it appears although it doesn't make any sense to me.
For example if I get this error in chrome & mozilla & OOB version,
launching a program in IE works, and after that chrome, mozilla & OOB
start to work too.
Thing is that same people who had this problem solved with this workaround experience it again in some days, like a week, with no apparent reason, and then combination of launches from various locations helps (usually IE helps the most).
Any help appreciated, I start a bounty as its pretty sick bug and I need to fix it somehow.
Update
Weird IE fix scenario:
At some point OOB version gets into state where it doesn't send any WCF request to server.
(fiddler doesn't see it, server doesn't gets it).
After launching web version in IE, and hitting the same button, that sends WCF request we get desired result in IE web version.
Without changing anything else, just relaunching OOB version which was in this buggest state before, makes OOB version work correctly. Its not reinstalled, not changed - nothing.
This is what I call "IE cure" of this problem.
So the question is what can IE launch potentiall change for OOB version?
According to this thread the message Debugging resources are unavailable appears when de client is not using the the Silverlight Developer Runtime.
This means that the actual exception is hidden from you (and us) so the next step is to reproduce the error on a system that has the Silverlight Developer Runtime.
I found this article. It might be worth it to check the certificate you are using (are you using a certificate) It is one of those things that is different with OOB apps and browsers.

Problems with debugging in Silverlight 4 using Out of Browser and WCF RIA Services

With Visual stuido 2010, it's simple to set up SL4 to debug with an out-of-browser installed app. I followed the instructions from here and everything seems to set up fine. Debugging from the browser runs the program just fine, but running from the OOB program gives a different result. After starting, the screen will go blank and then hang forever. I have some concerns that it might be because of some of the technologies that we're using.
Firstly, there's a popup that happens because we're using WCF RIA Services (formerly .NET RIA Services).
"RIA Services will fail unless the silverlight project is hosted and launched from the same web project that contains the RIA Services."
This seems to just be a warning, but I have a suspicion that this warning might be telling me that RIA Services needs to have the .web project as its startup project.
We're also using prism and the error has an odor of a Prism error too. (something loading and then not ever appearing)
Has anyone else had any issues with OOB debugging in SL4? Is anyone else OOB debugging in SL4?
Sorry it's so vague. It's a complicated mess. The only message I see is the italicized popup warning. Then the window (which was previously showing the background of our application) just goes blank
There is currently a known issue with debugging an Out of Browser Silverlight 4 application when using F5 to launch the application from within VS 2010. The question I have is whether or not the application launches without debugging (-F5 or running it from the shortcut)? In the case of using F5, a dialog typically appears with the following error dialog “Unable to start debugging. A fatal error occured. For more details, please see the Microsoft Help and Support web site. HRESULT=0x80070018” and then the application appears to hang. In this case detaching allows the process to continue and then reattaching should allow you to debug the process.
If this is completely blocking or you’re trying to debug code running at startup (like the page startup event), one possible way to get around this would be to put in a call to System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Break, start the program and then attach when dialog pops.
This can be caused by the OOBA install being older than the version you are trying to debug. Remember, Silverlight OOBAs do not automatically update themselves to the latest version of the XAP file that may be available on the server. You have to update them yourself. If you get this error and you have included the auto-update logic in your app, just bounce out of VS, run the app so it auto-updates, then go back in and debug.
Alternately, you can uninstall the app and re-install it. That will ensure you are debugging against the latest VS build.
I ran into this same issue with VS 2008 and Silverlight 3. If I got it, I just jumped out and updated the app then re-ran it in VS and had full debugging.

RIA: "Use local IIS Web server"

I know I've had this problem when I started working with Silverlight, but I can't for the life of me remember how to fix it.
I created a new RIA service application using the standard tutorial, added a table from the database and added a grid to display the results. Works great. Now I pull open the Web properties and change the web project to "use local IIS Web server". Suddenly the application will load up and give me the friendly "NotFound" error.
Please, someone remind me what I'm missing here.
I ran into this problem recently, and resolved it with help from this post on the silverlight.net forums.
Basically, I had Windows authentication and annonymous access enabled at the same time, and I need to disable windows authentication and restart IIS.
John
Not sure what the missing part is but I always start with Fiddler as will show the messages going across the wire. The actual messages can contains far more useful that the browser is hiding from the Silverlight plugin
