Created MFP CF app in Bluemix. Push notification was also working fine with GCM. Today saw a messages that there is an update for MFP in the Bluemix dashboard and clicked "Recreate" button. Server was recreated and all my apps and adapters were gone. Then from my development environment pushed the app and adapters and went to console to configure push notification and add the GCM details. Found an error at the top and now I don't see the text box to add the "Server API Key" and "Sender ID"
Looks like the new update got this issue. Is there a way to fix it or backout and go to the previous version?
Any help would be appreciated.
There is work to assure that such events will not happen, however please note this very important notice about the Mobile Foundation Bluemix service, with the Developer plan:
https://mobilefirstplatform.ibmcloud.com/tutorials/en/foundation/8.0/bluemix/using-mobile-foundation/
Note: the Developer plan does not offer a persistent database, as such be sure to backup your configuration as explained in the Troubleshooting section.
Such data loss may occur.
For now you will need to reconfigure your GCM credentials in the console.

I have a MobileFirst Server 8.0 deployed in Bluemix as a CF app. Under Services I click on my MF Servcice and launch the "Service Details" screen. Under the Overview section, I see the "Starting the server" item with the following message
"This can take up to 10 minutes to complete You'll be able to use your server in a while" Initializing Server
This message never goes. It is in this state forever even though I am able to click on the "Launch Console" and go to the console and work with my apps and adapters.
Everything is fine except this annoying misleading message.
Any help is appreciated.
In all likelihood this is a visual bug, causing the banner to not disappear after the service has been initialized and the server started.
Try creating a new service instance and see if it goes away
Either way, if the server is functioning, you may disregard this.
This will be investigated anyway to make sure this won't happen.
Have changed the status of my app to Active notifying in mobilefirst console, and I have tried to send custom notification message to app, but the application on device is not receiving the message sent from mobilefirst console.
In the app, we are using WL.Client.connect, and we are using adapters as well, any suggestions ?
Where can we check whether this feature is disabled in worklight?
Any mobilefirst trace that we can enable to identify the issue?
Kindly suggest.
You cannot disable the feature, it's either used (by setting the app version to Remote Notify) or not used.
The message appears only once during the application lifecycle (unless you send a different message), so make sure you didn't miss it.
Additionally, make sure that in case you have multiple versions of your app, that you are looking at the correct app version that you've sent the message to.
I'm studying the new function provide by 6.3 - Offline Authentication by this document,
https://developer.ibm.com/mobilefirstplatform/documentation/getting-started-6-3/authentication-security/offline-authentication/
and I'm getting a Error from the Adapter,
it's said #78 getInfo is an object, not a function,
Any help ?
Many thanks.
Note that this is not "new functionality". The sample project simply implements one possible way to achieve offline authentication.
I have tested the application by following the below scenario and it is working OK, so you really need to actually mention what you're doing, how you're doing it, what is the scenario and what exactly is the error (copy/paste it).
Steps:
Import project to Eclipse
Start the server (servers view > play button)
Deploy adapter
Deploy project and open in Xcode, install on device
Login when online (for example, using A/A as the username/password)
Logout
Move to airplane mode
Try to login again with A/A
The application successfully logged-in in 'offline mode'.
When looking at the contents of Version 6.1.0 Fix Pack 1, it doesn't appear to list PI06519 as one of it's constituents, yet when applying the fix pack in a bid to address the slow start up issue, it appears to fix the problem.
Is this supposed to be the definitive list of the contents of the fix pack and is simply an oversight, or should I be looking somewhere else for the full contents of it?
There is some problem with listing this APAR in the list of fixes which has yet to be resolved.

I had successfully implemented push notifications for the developer certificate but cannot seem to get it work for an ad hoc test with a friend. I did the same process for creating the push notification keys/certificates except now I chose "Production Push SSL Certificate" instead of "Development Push SSL Certificate". I believe that this is correct since I could not find any tutorials around that showed how to do it for production... all of them were for development.
This quick process can be found from ray wenderlich blog here: http://www.raywenderlich.com/3443/apple-push-notification-services-tutorial-part-12
This is my guess where things might have gone wrong because maybe there is a different way to do Production Push. I left my php code the same on my server as I had it before for Development Push (copied over the new ck.pem). Is this alright or do I need to make changes? I can post the code if someone thinks it is the code but as I said.. the php server code worked before.
Can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance!
I CANNOT ANSWER MY QUESTION BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH REP. THE CORRECT ANSWER IS HERE
for my development I had:
gateway.push.apple.com:2195
but for production it needs to be:
gateway.apple.com:2195
Hope this helps someone in the future.

You can also try to check your token are correctly set, your devices are allowed to receive notifications.
If you have made many tests, you may also have been temporarily banned from APNS server, you mustn't make too many calls to the APNS server in a small time range.
Please also note that there may be some delays from the time you send the notification to the APNS server, and the time the APNS server sends it to your device.
LAst bu not least, make sure your devices have a correct Internet / SSL free access some proxies or firewalls may block notifications
Are you getting the devices token dynamically? Because when the app is in ad-hoc distribution it is generating a different device token for push notifications form when it is in debug (a.k.a developer) mode
