I've been searching the net and have tried all the code found. My code should be simple but it's not working. I'm using a list to store image strings (but they do not have the extension on them). I want to test if the image file exists in a folder and if it does copy it. If it doesn't write to a file with the image name. The result I'm getting is all the files do not exists. But I checked and the files are there.

I already extracted a folder with files from a RAR archive using the Unrar.exe I then want to edit the files within the extracted folder and then Re-rar that folder back into a password protected RAR archive. Either that, or append the existing RAR archive. Either way, the main goal is to update the files within the password protected archive. But I can't seem to figure out how to compress the folder again. My code as follows:

It should also be mentioned that I have the Unrar.exe and Rar.exe
files in the application folder. The same files found in the Winrar
directory. I added them to my project folder to use them.
A brief explanation of what is expected: The user will fill out 3 textboxes (username, password, website url) then they will click a button. The button takes the text in each textbox as values then creates strings of those values. It then passes these string values onto the sub which UNRARS the RAR archive, then once the folder is extracted, it either overwrites any existing file in that folder or creates a new one. Then after that, it should repack this newly edited folder back into a RAR archive with the same password as before, then deletes the extracted folder and the old RAR archive (UNLESS I can just append them back into the original archive, then I would not have to make an "updated" archive.)

To not use a password, just remove the -ppassyword part.
I have a VB.net program that I am trying to add a bitlocker lookup tool that will search active directory for the machine name, and display the "Password ID" as well as the "Recovery Password"
So far my script/code works flawlessly for the lookup and displaying the Recovery Password, but I cannot get it to display the Password ID.
I've tried:

So I figured out that I needed to convert the bytes to hex in order to get them to match what is viewed in the Microsoft Management Console. Once I began doing that the only problem I ran into is that I discovered the indexing of the byte arrays are not in the same order as they are in Active Directory. -- so instead of looping I had to list out each index of the Byte array and sort them to their proper positions so that they match how they show up in AD.

I'm making a skype tool, and I'm creating the config file automatically, or at least that's what I think I am doing. The problem is just that for some reason the FileNotFoundException is fired because of some of my code is refering to the file which doesn't exist yet. So is visual basic checking for exceptions before firing code, or am I doing something wrong?

The file creation is at the top of my file and therefore should be the first thing to be fired, but maybe that's just something I think.
I'm writing a script to look in a directory, read the file name and use a part of the file name to run a SQL query to amend a DB, then copy the files to a new location and delete the original.
Once this is done it sends an email confirmation to a predefined email address.
I have the majority in place but am not able to Poll a Dir and process all files that may be there. Im new to this VB.net stuff and to get the other stuff working iv just named it at the beginning.

Rather than polling a folder (i.e. checking every n seconds whether it has new files) it's much more efficient to have the operating system notify you of changes in that folder. You can do this by creating a FileSystemWatcher. There is an example on MSDN.
However, if you did want to poll a folder, it's actually nice and easy - just wrap the following code in a Timer. Please note I normally code in C#, so apologies if the syntax is not 100%...
