We need to create a scalable application with a single instance of DB connection used across adapters , possibly want to use Spring hibernate for the same - how can we use mfp v 8 to implement such a use case.

I do not believe you can use it across adapters, as each adapter lives in its own sandbox. You'll need to add it to each adapter separately as a maven dependency in its pom.xml file.

wanted to try some new stuff and decided to build next micro-app in Ktor + Koin + Exposed. Everything looks really nice but I found one problem that is actually destroying the whole idea.
App needs DB access and the connection cannot be stored within repository but should be encrypted on config-server. Every other micro-app is suing spring boot and fetches configs with lib spring-cloud-config-client but I don't know if it's even possible to use that somehow from Ktor app. Anyone had the same problem and managed to fix it somehow?

I am developing web application based in Spring. I added Apache ignite in maven dependency.
It is very simple application, which is only 2 rest api.
One is querying by key, which return object. another is put data.
But I have a problem: when I develop additional implementation, I don't know how I can deploy this application.
The application always should be available. but I deploy it to one node, then the node may not available.
Is there good method for distributed memory application deploy?

Now i want to migrate my application to JBOSS EAP 6.2.0. GA.
Has anyone done it before? I need help on below issues.
I want to create following equivalent components in JBOSS.
1) Oracle data source
--> To create Oracle Data Source, we first definitely need to create Oracle JDBC Provider. So also need to know how to create equivalent to this in JBOSS.
2) Queue
3) Activation Specification
4) Shared library to contain configuration file and third party jars.
How to deploy applications on JBOSS knowldge would be an added advantage.

I have tried migrating from websphere to JBOSS\WildFly 10.
Not sure about the other versions of JBoss but wildfly 10 has a configuration xml which you can use to configure your server.
I configured the database, queues, queue factories, namespace bindings using this configuration xml which is available as part of the server installation itself.
The file is present in this location
YOUR_SERVER_INSTALLATION_HOME/opt/jboss/wildfly/standalone/configuration/standalone.xml

I am currently working on a EJB 3.1 based project running on GlassFish that uses a custom built framework to configure the functionality of any SessionBeans. Using this we can enable, disable and re-configure most of the services at run-time. Unfortunately we can't extend this to support conifguration of MDBs. I would like to set the selector a MDB is using based upon the configuration information and re-configure this if the settings change.
Unfortunately I could only come up with a SessionBean that creates MessageConsumers natively on the JMS Sessions based upon the configuration and to have the JMS messages handleb by MessageListeners, but I was told this way we would be loosing concurrency and the transaction handling of the EJB system, as we would no longer be using MDBs this way.
So is there any way to do what I'm looking for using MDBs? Someone told me there are some planned extensions in new EJB and JMS spec drafts, but I couln't find a pointer to that particular topic.
No, MDBs are configured by the Deployer at deploy-time.

I am evaluating the Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) and I need to connect to a DB2 database (and perhaps others).
Having done a fair amount of J2EE work I usually fetch a DataStore object via JNDI and use that to connect to a database. The actual connection parameters are configured outside of the application and can be adapted for development, test and production environments.
-- How should I go about this from within a plugin in RAP?
-- What is the best way to handle connections in different enviroments?
-- I also don't want to include the DB2 JDBC jars in the plugin as they may differ slightly between development and production.
