Unable to upgrade MID Server - configuration-management

Our ServiceNOW instance recently got upgraded from Eureka to Geneva.
MID Server status became down and the version does not match the Build number in the stats.
I was told that the MID Server will auto upgrade which didn't happened. I am using a proxy server to connect, when I tried communicating with the instance through the server it is working however I assume the service or application installed is not able to communicate with the instance.
I created a new service and it worked perfectly for 1 min however after that the status of it became down.
Then I tried changing the configurations of old services however no good.
Now the services are running fine however in the config file in the mid_sys_id section mid server details not getting populated and the status of the MID Server in the instance is always down.
Do I need to change any properties in the instance?
Since I use proxy server do I need to remove the comment line of the auto upgrade through proxy section or can I leave that blank?
What is the issue here? Why my MID Server is not getting upgraded? Kindly help me.. If possible an explanation with screen shot would be much appreciated.

If you're on Geneva, you should be able to simply go to your MIDServer listing, from inside your instance, click on a MIDServer, and find 'Upgrade MID' in the Related links section. That should start an upgrade for that MID Server. If it fails, there should be an entry in either the ServiceNow logs or the MID Server logs with more information why it failed.

Webglogic when does it change server Health

so on the left hand side of weblogic console panel...there are 5 different health status of the servers. I see weblogic change them status to warning whenever there is a stuck thread. However, when one does in wlst script.
connection(name,pass,url)
serverRuntime()
get('HealthState') the server health returns Health_Ok even though on the panel on the left hand side the health status is warning.
Any tips are appreciated
I tried serverLifeCycleRuntimes() by the way. I googled every website regarding Weblogic and not being able to figure out. Thanks
Well I kinda figure it out. It has subsystems. What I do is I cd into JDBC, check the health, then cd into ThreadPool check the health. When the server changes to overload? I do not know

unable to delete osb_server1 in the osb 10.3.6.0

There are scripts that build the admin server, then create clusters, managed servers, machines etc and when this domain is built, it is seen that an additional phantom server osb_server1 with port 8011, is getting built that isn't attached to any cluster or any machine.
This is built when the wlsb.jar was being referenced during one of the scripts.
Once after the admin server is up and running and we have other managed servers as well, Was trying to remove osb_server1 and this error creeps up
weblogic.management.configuration.AppDeploymentMBeanImpl.isCacheInAppDirectorySet()
Errors must be corrected before processding
There are like 120 default deployments on OSB that are targeted to osb_server1, was trying to retarget them to another server, but that is also throwing an error ...
Any ideas ???
That's due to the weird behaviour/bug of the standard osb template. There is a discussion here. http://theheat.dk/blog/?p=1255.
I didnt follow the steps given by Oracle(as in the URL). What I did was,
I keep the default osb_server1, and make it part of the cluster during the domain creation(ie, it's the first server). Once the domain is created, I re-set the osb_server1 to the desired value. That way the singleton services will still be deployed to the 1st server and others to cluster. Using WLST:
readDomain(domain_name)
cd('/Servers/osb_server1')
set('ListenPort', osb1_listen_port)
set('Name', osb1_name)
cd('/Servers/' + osb1_name + '/ServerDiagnosticConfig/osb_server1')
set('Name', osb1_name)
updateDomain()
closeDomain()

Silverlight wcf connection error

I'm about a month away developing my silverlight application (this is my first). Everything went rather smoothly until today, when out of the blue I started getting this message:
An error occurred while trying to make a request to URI 'http://localhost:2682/Services/Authentication/LoginService.svc'. This could be due to attempting to access a service in a cross-domain way without a proper cross-domain policy in place, or a policy that is unsuitable for SOAP services. You may need to contact the owner of the service to publish a cross-domain policy file and to ensure it allows SOAP-related HTTP headers to be sent. This error may also be caused by using internal types in the web service proxy without using the InternalsVisibleToAttribute attribute. Please see the inner exception for more details.
I'm using WCF Services and this issue never appeared until now.
I've added a clientdomain.xml and clientaccesspolicy.xml file to my [projectname].web folder, and re-wrote them about a 1000 different ways.
I've also used Fiddler and it shows me that the error is on both those files, the error is
[Fiddler] The socket connection to localhost failed. ErrorCode: 10061. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:2682
I've searched the error "10061" and it has to do with socket definition. But I couldn't find any solution to that.
Don't know if it has anything to do with it, but my "ASP.net Development Server" port is 6939.
Keep in mind that the app has NOT been deployed, so this is only happening locally. I'm using MS VS 2010 and MS SQL Server 2008.
Am I doing anything wrong or is this a silverlight issue??
On a last note, I haven't changed anything on Port, socket or service configuration. Last thing I was doing was editing a XAML file on client side and and the app started throwing me this error.
Need help, can't do anything until this is solved!!!!
Thanks.
i think you are using you app on localhost and a dynamic port is getting assigned and this port is not fixed and every run and that causes the refuse problem. if you want to fix this, create a solid url for example,
http://localhost/apps/Services/Authentication/LoginService.svc
Well, last night, just before I went to bed, I noticed something odd. In my "ServiceReferences.ClientConfig" file, the endpoint ports for each one of my services where diferent from the ones the silverlight machine used, so going on a hunch (and because I was reaching my sanity breakpoint) I decided to eliminate all my Service References and re-add them again.
I worked... go figure. Still don't know why this happened and if anyone could shed some light on the subject, I would appreciate it. It's kinda of annoying having to re-add all my services references. Right now I have only 6 of them, but in the near future they may go over 20, and if this happens again... well, it's going to be a real pain...
Thanks

SIP Application on standalone Red5 Server does not connect to Asterisk Server

I have tried for days now trying to find the right version of red5phone, but to no avail. Also, I need red5 and asterisk to be on different servers. I have followed all instructions described in the various tutorials on web, but nothing helps. I have downloaded 2 different versions of red5phone: sip1, sip_47 from the red5phone google code site, but none of them worked!
When I use:
a) sip1 - shows the correct parameters being passed on the red5 server console, but connection is stuck up with the console displaying the following error:
[NioProcessor-1] ERROR o.r.server.service.ServiceInvoker - Method login with parameters [<sip user>, <sip user>,<sip user>,<sip user pwd>, <asterisk server i/p>, <asterisk server i/p>] not found in org.red5.server.webapp.sip.Application#2d0c94a7
b) sip47 - when I type in the values in the flex interface and check the red5 server console, I see all parameters correct(the ones I passed) except for asterisk server ip that i m trying to connect. Instead, it shows 127.0.0.1 by default and completely ignores the passed ip and regsitration fails.
I am using:
red5 server version: 0.9.1, centos: 4.8(final), red5phone used: sip_47 (tried sip1 as well)
As a desperate measure I tried debugging the source code for red5phone (java and flex files) myself. but when I try to create the environment on my local system, I get several compile errors for missing java packages such as javax.media, org.slf4j, org.red5, etc. really confused and desperate for some guidance. Any tips highly appreciated.
Sunil, I'm also new to this, I would try red5-voicebridge installed in your red5 server.
red5-voicebridge Please let me know if you got it to work.

Fail to start Apache Directory Server - Error 04450

While I was trying to start ApacheDS 1.5.7 on windows platform, An Error 04450 occurs and the apacheds-rolling.log contains:
[21:07:27] ERROR [org.apache.directory.shared.ldap.entry.DefaultServerAttribute] - ERR_04450 The value {0} is incorrect, it hasnt been added
[21:07:27] ERROR [org.apache.directory.server.Service] - Cannot start the server : reuseAddress can't be set while the acceptor is bound.
How can i fix this problem? Anybody could help me? many thanks!
The warning log message is a bit misleading, actually this is not a serious issue, the server should be running despite of this warning, this has been fixed a while back in the latest trunk code (which will be released as 2.0 instead of 1.5.8).
According to this post, the dc=example,dc=org context entry is not created by default anymore but no one has updated the documentation to reflect this. I installed 1.5.7 and it looks to me like the partition was created fine, but I'm getting the same error as described above. I suggest installing an older version.
The 2nd error message suggests that the port is already in use. Is there a chance that you already had another ApacheDS process running, or that another program is using the ports?
This isn't a domain controller perchance, is it? If so, the default LDAP ports 389 & 636 are already in use for Active Directory, so you'll need to choose another. However, I believe the defaults for ApacheDS are 10389 (LDAP) and 10636 (LDAPS), in which case they would typically be open on a Windows box.
You can check for processes on the ports with the netstat -abn command, and look through the list for the process listening on port 10389 or whichever custom port you chose.
