How to implement Collapsible side bar in Angular2? - twitter-bootstrap-3

I'm learning angular2 and looking to implement a collapsible sidebar, similar to https://almsaeedstudio.com/themes/AdminLTE/index2.html, in Angular 2? I tried looking up examples but couldn't find any. Can you provide examples or documentation for it?

You could use ng2-bootstrap:
https://valor-software.com/ng2-bootstrap/#/accordion
You can also check in the source code how it's implemented:
https://github.com/valor-software/ng2-bootstrap/tree/development/components/accordion

Since you want to do it with Bootstrap, you can do it with Bootstrap collapse.
http://codepen.io/zurfyx/pen/ygaGyb
The idea behind this solution is the following:
Have your collapsible content inside a specific class, we called it collapseMenu. We also need a class that will indicate whether it is hidden or not. Bootstrap already provides it for us collapse.
<li>Icon <span class="collapse collapseMenu">Home</span></li>
Next we need the toggler, the hamburger icon that is. It requires a data-toggle to indicate the class that it has to toggle on each click and a data-target to know the element(s) that has to target, collapseMenu.
<button data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".collapseMenu">Hamburger icon</button>
The CSS part is not a big deal, and you can do it in various ways. I like the CSS3 flexbox approach.
Our page (specifically .container), will be a flex with direction row.
.container {
display: flex;
flex-direction: row;
}
Then we'll set the right panel to take as much space as it can, so as when the content is toggled, it shrinks:
.main {
flex: 1;
}
Complete working version:
HTML
<div class="container">
<div class="left-panel">
<ul>
<li>Icon <span class="collapse collapseMenu">Home</span></li>
<li>Icon <span class="collapse collapseMenu">Contact</span></li>
</ul>
</div>
<div class="main">
<button data-toggle="collapse" data-target=".collapseMenu">Hamburger icon</button>
</div>
</div>
CSS
body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
ul > li {
display: block;
}
.collapse.in {
display: inline-block;
}
.container {
height: 100vh;
display: flex;
flex-direction: row;
padding: 0;
}
.left-panel {
background-color: grey;
}
.main {
background-color: black;
flex: 1;
}

Vue transition-group - how to prevent "jumping"?

I have two divs that i transition between using transition-group, which works as it should - however, the content below the divs transitioning, is "jumping" depending on the height of the divs.
What I want it that jumping being prevented, and instead it animates somehow, so I get a nice smooth transition when switching between elements without it "pushing" down to content with a "jump"..
Hope it makes sense :)
I've setup an example on codesandbox here: https://codesandbox.io/s/reverent-stallman-8ixhp?file=/src/components/HelloWorld.vue
The template looks like:
<div class="hello">
<button #click="groupShowOne">Show first {{ gShowFirst }}</button>
<button #click="groupShowTwo">Show second {{ gShowSecond }}</button>
<transition-group name="fade-group" tag="div" mode="out-in" appear>
<div
class="group-element"
v-if="gShowFirst"
style="background-color: yellow"
>
<h3>This is a headline</h3>
<p>This is a text</p>
</div>
<div
class="group-element"
v-if="gShowSecond"
style="background-color: red"
>
<h3>
This is a headline <br />This is a headline <br />This is a headline
This is a headline This is a headline This is a headline
</h3>
<p>
This is a text This is a text This is a text This is a text This is a
text v This is a text v <br />This is a text This is a text This is a
text This is a text This is a text v This is a text v <br />This is a
text This is a text This is a text This is a text This is a text v
This is a text v
</p>
</div>
</transition-group>
<div style="background-color: blue; min-height: 500px; color: #FFF">
Prevent this div from jumping<br />
</div>
</div>
The animation looks:
<style scoped>
.group-element {
width: 100%;
min-height: 100px;
max-height: 20000px;
transition: all 0.5s;
}
.fade-group-enter,
.fade-group-leave-to {
opacity: 1;
}
.fade-group-leave-active {
opacity: 0;
position: absolute;
}
</style>
Try this
Setting the transition property in the passive div:
.ele {
background-color: blue;
min-height: 500px;
color: #fff;
-moz-transition: all 0.5s;
-ms-transition: all 0.5s;
-o-transition: all 0.5s;
-webkit-transition: all 0.5s;
transition: all 0.5s;
}
Let it do some animation
eleStyle() {
return {
transform: this.gShowSecond ? "translate3d(0, 100px, 0)" : "none",
};
},
The div:
<div class="ele" :style="eleStyle">Prevent this div from jumping<br /></div>
What you can try:
Vue has a *-move class for group transitions. However, the transition-group has to be applied to all the elements including the one that has the v-move class, to work.
Here's the article link if you need it for more details: https://vuejs.org/guide/built-ins/transition-group.html#move-transitions
(*-move basically animates items from their original position to their new position, making it smooth, rather than jumpy)
You could still work with what you have and dynamically bind a separate CSS transition for the blue box when showSecond or showFirst equate to a certain value.

How to change selected row labels area in vue-good-table

I'm using vue-good-table and I'm trying to change the labels area in the selected row box. Looking at the documentation the only slot available is the selected-row-actions.
Is there a way/slot to edit the left side with the labels and 'clear' action? (not just their text)
Update:
As mentioned earlier there isn't any direct configuration from library to achieve what you want to achieve. CSS only solution will look like following, take a look at this codesandbox:
<template>
...
</template>
<style>
.vgt-selection-info-row {
font-size: 0 !important;
}
.vgt-selection-info-row__actions.vgt-pull-right {
visibility: visible;
float: none !important;
}
</style>
Original answer:
There isn't any thing like that supported from the library out of the box. You can use table-actions slots to display table level actions on top right or can use selected-row-actions slot to display actions for selected row on the selection info bar like:
<div slot="selected-row-actions">
<button #click="countSelected()">Sected Row Action</button>
</div>
<div slot="table-actions">
Table Actions
</div>
That being said, its HTML we are talking about (yay!) so nothing is preventing you from overriding default styles of the library.
You can use following style to use selected-row-actions slot and move slot next to clear button:
<template>
...
<div slot="selected-row-actions">
<label>Label 1</label>
<button #click="countSelected()">Action 1</button>
<label>Label 1</label>
<button #click="countSelected()">Action 2</button>
</div>
...
</template>
<style>
.vgt-selection-info-row__actions.vgt-pull-right {
float: none !important;
margin-left: 5px;
display: inline;
}
.vgt-selection-info-row__actions.vgt-pull-right div {
display: inline-block;
}
</style>
PS: There is already a closed issue BUG 519 for the library if you like to reopen it and track.

How can I add a class to a popover with vue boostrap?

I have:
<li class="nav-item">
<b-popover
target="search-button"
placement="topleft"
title="Search"
triggers="click"
content="Placement"
container="nav-container"
>
<template slot="title">Interactive Content</template>
<template slot="content">Interactive Content</template>
</b-popover>
<a class="nav-link" href="#" title="Popover Title" id="search-button">
<i class="material-icons md-48">search</i>
</a>
</li>
I want to add a class to the popover, but ideally have it scoped to this component. When I try to do:
<style scoped>
.nav {
background: white;
border-top: 0.1px solid silver;
}
.nav-pills .nav-link {
border-radius: 0;
}
.popover {
width: 100%;
background: red;
}
</style>
It seems to have no impact on the actual popover.
Version 2.0.0-rc.26 (which is to be released soon) adds support for tooltip/popover variants as well as applying custom classes to the tooltip/popover root element.
You can see a preview at https://bootstrap-vue.netlify.com/ (and will appear at https://bootstrap-vue.js.org/ once released)
Its not possible to give class to <b-popover>, you can read here.
But as I mentioned in comment you can use querySelector and give class or styling.
Cheers.

*ngIf Hide and show the div slowly and move a div slowly to right/left in angular2+

<div id="abc">
<div id="bac" ngIf="show">
<!-- Content -->
</div>
<div id="cde">cds</div>
</div>
I have a div want to add or remove from DOM slowly(show and hide) using *ngIf and likewise adding or removing of div.id ="bac" should cause div.id='cde' to move left or right slowly like it is animating.
*ngIf probably is not he best thing you are looking for, instead of this, use ngClass and define the css transitions and positions for these animations.
*ngIf fully hides/shows a node from/in DOM, it's like display: none/block which is not able to be animated through css-transitions
here is an example
<div class="animated" [ngClass]=" { 'show': show, 'hide': !show }">
content
</div>
then in the css
.animated {
display: inline-block;
width: 100%;
height: 80px;
background: gray;
transition: 1.5s linear margin-left;
}
.animated.show {
margin-left: 0;
}
.animated.hide {
margin-left: -120vw;
}
Height also can be changed, depends on which effect you expect.

Can I use Bulma dropdown in Bulma tabs?

I'm using Nuxt.js and Bulma. I'm making navigation using Bulma tabs(https://bulma.io/documentation/components/tabs/).
I wanna insert Bulma dropdown(https://bulma.io/documentation/components/dropdown/#hoverable-or-toggable). But it doesn't work in middle of Tabs.
I know who wanna use Bulma dropdown needs to use javascript, so I use it. But it doesn't work.
How can i fix it?
To get a dropdown working inside Bulma's tabs, you need to adjust the overflow CSS in the tabs div. I'm not sure why I had to set overflow-x and overflow-y to get this working properly, but I did.
When the dropdown is active:
overflow-x : visible;
overflow-y : visible;
When the dropdown is not active, reset to their defaults:
overflow-y : hidden;
overflow-x : auto;
Yes you can with a little amount of fiddling
There are mainly 2 problems :-
Problem 1
As bulma tabs container is flexbox, and the list of tabs are child of this flexbox, the dropdown will not be visible as it overflows out of flexbox container.
If you add overflow-y:visible to tabs container div, scrolling will happen which is not the behaviour we need
Solution
To fix this, the contents to be shown on tab selection should also come inside the tabs container as second child, so that dropdown button/link in list of
tabs has the space to show the dropdown when clicked/hovered.
#tab-container {
flex-direction: column;
height: 500px;
width: 100%
}
#content-child {
flex-grow: 1;
width: 100%
}
#list-child {
flex-grow: 0; //should be set to 0 as it will take up vertical space (it is set to 1 in bulma)
width: 100%;
}
Problem 2
When dropdown is used within bulma tabs, the anchor tags in dropdown gets styled by those specified for anchor tags in tabs.This is one of the main issue.
The dropdown shown thus will be styled very differently.
Solution
Bulma dropdown also allows us to insert div inside.
We can make use of this to overcome problem 1.
Just add this css for divs inside dropdown so as to make it behave like links.
div.dropdown-item.is-active {
background-color: rgba(55, 122, 195, 0.95);
color: #fff;
}
div.dropdown-item {
padding-right: 3rem;
text-align: left;
white-space: nowrap;
width: 100%;
cursor: pointer;
text-decoration: none;
}
div.dropdown-item:hover {
background-color: whitesmoke;
color: #0a0a0a;
}
Complete solution can be seen below and you can change as required for your use case.
div.dropdown-item.is-active {
background-color: rgba(55, 122, 195, 0.95);
color: #fff;
}
div.dropdown-item {
padding-right: 3rem;
text-align: left;
white-space: nowrap;
width: 100%;
cursor: pointer;
text-decoration: none;
}
div.dropdown-item:hover {
background-color: whitesmoke;
color: #0a0a0a;
}
#content-child {
flex-grow: 1;
width: 100%
}
#tab-container {
flex-direction: column;
height: 500px;
width: 100%
}
#list-child {
flex-grow: 0;
width: 100%;
}
<link href="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/bulma#0.8.1/css/bulma.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<div class="tabs is-boxed" id="tab-container">
<ul id="list-child">
<li><a>Pictures</a></li>
<li><a>Music</a></li>
<li><a>Videos</a></li>
<li><a>Documents</a></li>
<li class="dropdown is-active">
<div class="dropdown-trigger">
<a class="has-text-right custom-padding" aria-haspopup="true" aria-controls="dropdown-menu">
Drop Down
</a>
</div>
<div class="dropdown-menu" id="dropdown-menu" role="menu">
<div class="dropdown-content">
<div class="dropdown-item">Dropdown item</div>
<div class=" dropdown-item">Other dropdown item</div>
<div class=" dropdown-item is-active">Active dropdown item</div>
<div class=" dropdown-item">Other dropdown item</div>

<div class=" dropdown-item">With a divider</div>

</div>

</ul>
<div id="content-child">
