How to stop slide from showing all slides vertically when loading - slider

My logo slider shows every slide vertically when loading and it looks terrible when loading and then when loaded it forms correctly.
Can someone please let me know how to get rid of this problem please? Here's where the slider is located http://www.customlogoshop.com/logo-design
Thanks!

You could try to hide the images like this:
.logo-slider img {
display: none;
}
and make them visible again as soon as slickjs initialized the slider:
.logo-slider.slick-initialized img {
display: block;
}

Background image on :hover does'nt show

I'm trying to apply a background image on a menu li on a :hover, however, it doesn't seem to recognize/show the image. It does respond to a color as background on the hover, which is in the same background line in the CSS.
I've made a jsfiddle with the code narrowed down to basics:
Obviously the image wouldn't show in this Fiddle, i'm using a local image.
As you can see, it does respond to the background colors, but not to the images.
Where am I going wrong here?
this works:
.logo li:hover
{
background:navy url('http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/51/Google.png');
display: inline-block;
}
your doesnt work because you are setting
background-image:url('paper.gif');
and then you do this:
background: navy;
this way you are reseting the background canceling previous values
see updated fiddle
http://jsfiddle.net/YgxmU/
You did small mistake following will give your result
background: navy url('paper.gif');
Your mistake is you have given as
background-image:url('paper.gif');
background: navy;
the background property override the background-image:url('paper.gif');

Fullscreen slideshow with vertical carousel.Fading in of fullscreen image issue

I made a vertical carousel which consists of images that when clicked should be visible fullscreen. But the problem is i'm not able to figure out how to make sure the fullscreen images are preloaded or something and works like the thumbnail images(getting preloaded).
I'm not sure what approach to follow for preloading the fullscreen images using css background and how to make sure the images fadeIn or just some transition when i click on the thumbnail in the carousel.
Please have a look at the following link where my code is uploaded.

If its convenient,feel free to check the script by checking the source.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Found this post and figured it might help you, Preloading images with jQuery
Try and post some of the code in your body for future reference. :)
Quick and easy:
function preload(arrayOfImages) {
$(arrayOfImages).each(function(){
$('<img/>')[0].src = this;
// Alternatively you could use:
// (new Image()).src = this;
});
}
// Usage:
preload([
'img/imageName.jpg',
'img/anotherOne.jpg',
'img/blahblahblah.jpg'
]);
Or, if you want a jQuery plugin:
$.fn.preload = function() {
this.each(function(){
$('<img/>')[0].src = this;
});
}
// Usage:
$(['img1.jpg','img2.jpg','img3.jpg']).preload();
Alternatively, if you want to stick purely with CSS check out this page: http://perishablepress.com/3-ways-preload-images-css-javascript-ajax/ You can just have the background image be positioned off screen then come on screen when needed.
#preload-01 { background: url(http://domain.tld/image-01.png) no-repeat -9999px -9999px; }
#preload-02 { background: url(http://domain.tld/image-02.png) no-repeat -9999px -9999px; }
#preload-03 { background: url(http://domain.tld/image-03.png) no-repeat -9999px -9999px; }

Hiding content outside of background and show when scrolling

Working URL:
http://webstage.co/scroll/stack.html
What I am trying to accomplish is to hide the content when it is outside of the background area (1280x800). I like the way the backgrounds are coming in when you scroll to a new section, but I want to hide the content until it gets into that 1280x800 viewport? Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this?
Bonus...It would be great if I could also hide the content under the top navigation once it scrolled up under it as well. A guy can dream. :)
Thanks!
For the first part you can add another div and target with css something like this:
.viewport {
width: 1280px;
height: 100%;
position: fixed;
top: 0;
left: 50%;
margin-left: -640px;
background: black;
clip: rect(800px, 1280px, auto, auto);
}
Basically, set the background to the same color as the page background and use clip to only display the portion of the div that sits below your desired viewport area hiding the content outside the viewport area.
If you add content to the footer later you may need to tweak some z-index settings to make sure it sits on top of the viewport div.

Safari with unexpected vertical tile for icons on footer, should display in line

I was trying to add twitter/facebook icon to the site footer, much like side.cr footer. I got everything working, except that safari having unexpected vertical tile for twitter and facebook. I tried to upload screenshot but I am new user, so can't do that right now.
So I was searching for the answer and found this q/a here, Is <img> element block level or inline level?
So I went to side.cr again to see its css does have user agent stylesheet.
I added this line of code to my css:
.footer ul li img.t, li img.f {
width: 40px;
vertical-align: middle;
display: inline-block;
}
and it fixed the problem.
But I have a few questions in head:
why does side.cr's css show as non-editable user agent, while I have to add that display-inline to my css?
How does "display: inline-block" fix the problem?
Notice that: When mouse over to the gray twitter, it triggers swap.js, changing the icon image to the colored one, but in safari, the highlighted icon is bigger than the gray one. I think i almost know the answer. Just need someone who knows all the kinks behind this.
Thanks!
Solution:
To fix this problem make sure you set the height and width on the image so that it doesn't change during loading.
<img src="http://www.side.cr/images/contact/twitter_off.svg"
class="twitter_bird img_swap" height="52px" width="52px" />
or
.twitter_bird {
height:50px;
width:50px
}
Explanation:
When you switch the images name, safari begins to load the image but it doesn't know the height or width until it's done downloading. If you set the height and width it will not grow from 0px to 52px.

Sencha Touch 2 image animation on touch

I have come to see that Sencha Touch framework is improving noticeably. Since I couldn't see something like what I want, I wanted to ask here and see if it's possible. I would like to hear your opinion on how to do some image change animation when the image is touched. When you touch the image, another image will animate growing from the middle.
Actually I also want to detect (if possible) the location of the touch on the image (Things I could do on iOS).
Is this possible? If so, any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Panel has some properties to find out location of the touch:
var Xscroll = somePanel.scroller.offset.x;
var Yscroll = somePanel.scroller.offset.y;
Also, for your animation, you can do something like this:
Have 1 image on your 1st panel (make that image fit to the panel and keep it to background) like this:
JS:
App.somePanel= new Ext.Panel({
cls: 'somePanel',
html: '<h1>Welcome to my app!</h1>',
//some other properties
});
CSS:
.somePanel {
background-image: url(http://somesite.com/someimage.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: 100% 100%;
}
Have second panel like that.
On some event on the first panel do:
Hide that panel with animation
Show the second panel with animation
The list of animations is given in Sencha Touch API
