I am compiling a report from 2 different data sources. The request is that I provide an hourly breakdown of sales, quotes and calls so I can provide the call to quote rate etc.
The telephone data comes in the format of 'hourly' like below:

This suits me down to the ground so I can show the data hourly i.e. between 08:00 and 09:00 there were no calls offer and subsequently none answered.
Now the difference here is the Quote/Sales system provides the time as such 0932, 1001 etc.
What would be the best way to put these Quotes/Sales into the appropriate 'hourly' pots.
I.e. 0932 should essentially be 09:00 as a time below and 1001 should be 10:00.
Is the best way to accomplish this just CASE statements based on the first 2 digits of the time i.e.
CASE WHEN SUBSTRING([QuoteTime],1,2) = 09 THEN '0900' END
I figure I could do it this way but it would be 'cumbersome' and quite a performance hit on a number of rows.

I have to get this kind of count for each 15 min interval on the given date.
Could anybody help me out please?
Use group by and datediff:
GROUP BY DATEDIFF(MINUTE, '1990-01-01T00:00:00', date) / 15

The result of this table works fine. Bd is the the calendar days for the particular month and n is the business day number. The script does its job of not counting the weekend as a business day.

But then I notice that a potential issue will occur in July where the output will count the 4th of July as BD2 when it should be counted as BD3. Some had created a holiday table that is updated with all the holidays (excuse the bad spelling).

i get the result i want when i run in in Microsoft Sql server Managment studio
but it gives me a long error when i try running the same query in Microsoft Query in excel the error is like i cant start with timestamp
and that its giving me error for DATEADD ,DATEDIFF
so is there something i should change in my query or anything i can do to get an hourly count interval instead of 15 minutes count interval as ive shown

I already tried to make a helper table which should hold the times per halfhour. I have joined this helpertable with the table that contains the data and after that I tried to use a group by function but it was not working.
My query was like:

Grouping this give me no desired result....
Anyone an idea how to come to the result?

Now I want to know how many employees are working, every (half) hour.
The result I want to see:

Every 'Hour' you must read as 'till the next full hour', ex. 11 -> 11:00 - 12:00
Any ideas?
