Get value of multiple created controls at runtime VB.NET - vb.net

I can get the value of a single control that has been created at run time, that control is a DateTimePicker, but i can't get the values of multiple controls. how do i do it?

I can only get the the value of a created control if only i specified it in the code, i think i can't get the right Name of the control. I'm trying to make the program to read every value of the control in another form while the Timer ticks. help?

I want to get the control name that was created when I click a button, but I cannot seem to get what I need. I have been doing this on the dynamicButton_click event.

All you need to do is cast the sender variable to button. It will tell you which control was the source of the event:

You attached an event handler to the dynamic button and that is hitting?
Couple ways you can do this:
This will give you the button you just clicked without needing to loop, the sender is the button. You need to cast it from the object to button:
MessageBox.Show(DirectCast(sender, Button).Name)
Otherwise, inside your loop, cast cntrl (the generic Control object) to the specific Button control object and then get the name.

How to acces checked status of dynamicaly created Radio Buttons in VB

I create a variable amount of radio buttons in a Tab Page by reading the lines out of an array using:

You could try to add a Handler after you add the radio button:
AddHandler rbgen.CheckedChanged, AddressOf RadioBox_CheckedChanged
and then you need to add this sub

VB.net adding multiple controls on button click

I'm trying to make a userinterface that generates itself on request (button click)

So when i add a Combobox as first it's no problem it generates the box & places it on the right position etc.

Public variable used for form opening not feeding through to from

Having some issues getting a form to populate based on a variable determined in current form.
I have a search result form that has a datagrid with all results, with an open form button for each row. When the user clicks this, the rowindex is used to pull out the ID of that record, which then feeds to the newly opened form and populates based on a SQL stored procedure run using the ID as a paramter.
However, at the moment the variable is not feeding through to the form, and am lost as to why that is. Stored procedure runs fine if i set the id within the code. Here is my form open code, with sci

How can I reduce this code to a single procedure

I am relatively new to the whole .NET thing, coming from a VB classic background.
On my form I have a tabcontrol, with 4 tabs. Most of the code is handled using a shared handler, but for the others I have to write a handler for each.
How can I optimize these routines into a single procedure?

Create control arrays that you can reference by index, and put the index in each controls' Tag.

You can leverage a couple of features:
1) The VB Handles statement can hook multiple control events to the same method.
2) You can get the combobox from the sender, then extract the index.
3) From the index, you can find the other associated controls.

There is likely a more elegant solution to your problem somewhere. I find that, if I am defining the same controls and methods for multiplpe tabs on a tab control, it might be time to examine my design . . . Not always, though. :-)
