How can I delete a tvOS app from iTunes Connect? - app-store-connect

Is there any option to delete a tvOS app from iTunes Connect? The application's current state is 'Preparing for submission.'

You need to wait for Apple's approval. After that you can manage / delete the App from iTunesConnect.
You'll get more info from documentation.
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/LanguagesUtilities/Conceptual/iTunesConnect_Guide/Chapters/TransferringAndDeletingApps.html

As seen in this documentation, you can only remove an app if all versions of it are in one of the following states:
Prepare for Submission
Invalid Binary
Developer Rejected
Rejected
Metadata Rejected
Developer Removed from Sale
Removed from Sale
As described in a forum post - the fastest way to be able to delete the tvOS app is to make the next version of the iOS app ("Prepare for Submission" state instead of "Ready for Sale"). You don't need to to actually upload a binary yet. But I suspect you have to input the desired correct version number, because I don't see a way to remove this iOS app later (in "Prepare for Submission" state).

Inconsistency when reading Appstore version to force update (React Native)

I have a mechanism reading the Appstore version and forcing the user to update the app. For doing this, I use the following URI: https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?bundleId=xxxxxx
It used to work, but with the last release of my app, I have noticed that it wasn't forcing the update anymore, despite the new version was on the store (the Update button was visible on the store page).
I decided to not update it and let the weekend pass, and today my app was already up-to-date when I opened it. I suppose my phone updated it automatically, unfortunately, so I cannot be sure that my app would have forced the user to do it, but I suppose so.
My guess is that the link I'm using in my app and whatever API iOS is using to automatically update, need time to know the latest version that is already available on the store.
Does anyone have any information about this?

Titanium Appcelerator App (IOS) publishing issue

Hi I have uploaded my app to iTunes connect. The app is validated and submitted successfully. While publishing the app to the app store my app got rejected because of insufficient meta data
can any one tell me the reason for the same and what changes do I require to make to resolve the issue.
Metadata rejection means that the description/screenshots/search tags, that us anything apart of the IPA, which you provide in iTunes, is not as per the guideline or is not incomplete.
In the iTunes Resolution Center they will mention that issue in details. If not you can contact them through the chat option and ask for more information. Usually the Resolution Center will provide all the details.
Insufficient meta data means you might have provided invalid meta data. There are 17 guidelines given by Apple for Metadata as given below. Make sure that you are following all of them.
Apps or metadata that mentions the name of any other mobile platform will be rejected
Apps with placeholder text will be rejected
Apps with names, descriptions, screenshots, or previews not relevant to the content and functionality of the App will be rejected
App names in iTunes Connect and as displayed on a device should be similar, so as not to cause confusion
Small and large App icons should be similar, so as to not to cause confusion
Apps with App icons, screenshots, and previews that do not adhere to the 4+ age rating will be rejected
Apps with Category and Genre selections that are not appropriate for the App content will be rejected
Developers are responsible for assigning appropriate ratings to their Apps. Inappropriate ratings may be changed/deleted by Apple
Developers are responsible for assigning appropriate keywords for their Apps. Inappropriate keywords may be changed/deleted by Apple
Developers who attempt to manipulate or cheat the user reviews or chart ranking in the App Store with fake or paid reviews, or any other inappropriate methods will be removed from the iOS Developer Program
Apps that recommend that users restart their iOS device prior to installation or launch may be rejected
Apps should have all included URLs fully functional when you submit it for review, such as support and privacy policy URLs
Apps with screenshots, previews, and marketing text that do not clearly identify supplemental content or items that must be purchased separately (e.g. using IAP) will be rejected
App previews may only use video screen captures of the app, voice-overs, and textual and design overlays, or the app will be rejected
Apps with previews that display personal information of a real person without permission will be rejected
App previews may only include music that is licensed for that purpose in all selected territories
App previews that include content played or streamed via the app (e.g. iTunes playlist, YouTube streaming video) that is not licensed for use in the preview will be rejected
Finally, you have to make sure that you have provided information about how to use your application so that they can easily test the application.

iTunes Connect doesn't ask for updated screenshots?

I've updated my iPhone app to support the iPhone 5 screen..
I've done this before for another app and I was forced to upload new screenshots taken with the iPhone 5.
This time however, iTunes Connect just displays the status as "waiting for review" and isn't mentioning anything about the screenshots..
I'm slightly worried something has gone wrong? App works great on iPhone 5 and simulator though.
It turns out Apple can block apps during the review process that have something wrong with metadata. If they decide your metadata is wrong they'll just change your app's status to "Metadata Rejected".
Here's the quote from the rules for this status:
Appears when specific metadata items aside from your binary have not
passed review. To resolve the issue, edit the metadata in iTunes
Connect and your existing binary is then reused for the review
process. You receive a communication from App Review in the Resolution
Center regarding the reason for the metadata rejection.
When things change to the AppStore (Apple adds a device) they might require you to get new screenshots. But if nothing changed in their system, it's normal that they don't ask.
Don't worry!
They copy over the screenshots from your last version of the app (or is your Retina4 screenshot section in itunesconnect empty?). So if you donĀ“t want to update them, it should be okay like this.
Chances are your app has not hit review (and now as of the 21st) and won't be reviewed until after the 29th. Once your app hits review, it will become rejected for the missing screenshots. If you want to save yourself some time and pain, update the screenshots while Apple is on their downtime for the Christmas holiday. You'll thank yourself later.
My app got accepted yesterday, no word about the screenshots.
App works fine on iPhone 5, mailed Apple to complain this probably is a bug (iTUnes Connect does not recognize localized Default.png, which is what is checked to verify it is iPhone 5 optimized I believe.)

iTunes Connect: How revert app status from waiting for upload to Prepare for upload

I'm uploading the first version of my iOS application for review, Whereas my application has an In-App purchase. I made my app status to Ready for upload while getting in its Binary upload section. But later I got that I have to submit my first In-App purchase along application version.
Now I can't edit In-App purchase section in application version meta data as it states that you can't submit in app purchase with this version as its already submitted for review.
I haven't uploaded binary yet in this version, now two solutions which I think could be
1- I email Apple review team to change my app status from Ready to upload back to Prepare for upload
OR
2- Upload a binary and then reject it but I'm confused that whether rejecting binary would revert my app status to Prepare for upload or Waiting for upload.
I forgot to submit any IAPs with my first binary and got rejected ("can't purchase anything = can't review app"). I also hurried and clicked 'ready to upload binary' without editing IAPs first. I just submitted the same binary again and quickly rejected it. Then, I could edit IAPs, and finally re-submitted the binary one more time. Hope this helps.
1.Upload the current binary.
2.Make it "developer rejected".
3.Upload a new binary of your choice.

Can I revert to my previous version app in iTunes Connect?

I have app in App Store, I submitted version 1.1, after Apple reviewed, approved and published it, I noticed there is a clear major bug, so I had to suspend my app from App Store.
I submitted a new version 1.2, you know it would take 5-7 days to be reviewed and published, can I revert to my previous version app (1.0) while the new version is released?
Actually there is just one way :
Set the availability date for buggy version to far future, then submit new version and ask for a expedited review.
After these you should have new version reviewed under 48 hours, depending on weekday.
Open the app in iTunes Connect and click "Rights and Pricing" top right. You get a message like this: "You have selected an Available Date in the future. This will remove your currently live version from the App Store until the new date. Changing Available Date affects all versions of the application, both Ready For Sale and In Review."
Also you can request a faster review for your next update:
https://developer.apple.com/appstore/contact/?topic=expedite
No sadly you cannot according to Apple, here's an excerpt from the iTunes Connect FAQ :
Question: The new version of my app on the App Store has a bug. Can I use a previous version to replace it?
No. You cannot revert to a previous version on the App Store. You must submit a new version.
Source : iTunes Connect FAQ
So, It is quite clear that we can't revert to the previous version on the App Store and the only solution is to submit a new version to the store. But We can fasten up the reviewing process by requesting the Expedited reviews. please go to the link(Expedited Review Form) and Fill up the form.
