I got a problem...
I'm using casperjs 1.1.0 beta3
I already set the phantom and casperjs path in system variable in windows 8.1
I try to run js code which placed in different folder from casperjs folder. I got the execution time takes so long.
But when I put my js code in samples folder in casperjs folder, the execution time takes so fast.
Why this is happened?
So how if I want to execute js file with casperjs command fastly without put my js code into casperjs folder?
Any suggestion or explanation?
Thanks in advance

Testers may have this issue for sure.
Assume that we have a testcase that should be automated. And it has a step to download a file from the webpage by clicking a link and it will be downloaded to our local machine’s download folder. As the next step it should be verified that the file is downloaded.
So in a local machine this can be handled easily by using the download paths and all. But the matter that I have is this exact same testcase is getting fail in Jenkins (cloud run). It returns a null value because the download directory cannot be found in Jenkins.
Do you guys know what kind of solution that can we take for this? I heard something using API request to download the file. Yes this file is also getting downloaded by a GET request with parameters. But I don’t know how to perform that.
Thanks for your time.
I tried the bellow options.
Changing the directory to Windows and Linux as per the documents
By using jenkins home directory
What I want to do?
to verify that the file is downloaded
Read the file and check with the db (This has existing methods)
I've been using the Intellij Golang plugin recently (it's great) but I've been running into an issue with the File Watchers I set up. My working directory is set to my $GOPATH directory and I would like to be able to run golint and goimports after I save a file I'm working on. The issue I have is if I use git to clone a repo the next time I open Intellij it runs both golint and goimports on all the newly imported files which can take a long time for large projects. Is there a way to set up File Watcher so it only watches a file that is currently open? I added a screenshot of my current settings below:
Open Watcher setting -> Scope , change it to Open Files
If you wanna more control over the plugin, you can have a look at the official doc
Instead of file watcher you can get External tools configured to achieve almost the same functionality. The only difference is that this won't run on save but rather you'll have to trigger this manually. Or you could configure a macro to run them on save (but I don't have experience with macros + external tools so I'm not if this will work).
A geb test tests file upload in a grails application. According to the documentation the absolute path of the file has to be specified in the test. Is it possible to make the test a bit more portable between developers/machines by including a file in the grails source tree and then getting its absolute path from the geb test?
You may be interested in doing something like this
http://www.mkyong.com/java/how-to-get-the-filepath-of-a-file-in-java/
In the Get file path example he creates a temporal file and then gets its filePath. If you need a specific file then I recomend you to build / write on it after creating it, this way you have a User/enviroment free file to access from your app anytime.
I ran into a problem like this once, uploading a photo to a server with grails, and for test or repetitive actions I created it and added the base64 code on runtime.
Hope it helps. Good luck! :)
I just ended up using System.properties['base.dir'] to get real path to my application.
String cd = new File(".").getAbsolutePath().replace(".","");
String file = cd + "file.jpg"
println file
It's work for me, on windows an linux.
it's need for CI and local building test.
I need to generate MS html help project files (that is html/js/image files plus .hhp, .hhk, and .hhc) from Yii Docs build system but I'm yet to find how to do It. I don't need a compiled CHM, just the project files. I work from Ubuntu Linux
Any pointer or direct help is appreciated.
Installed PHP Unit and Selenium extension via pear
Then I went on to run phing in yii/build dir with commands
cd yiidir/build
phing doc
check API sub directory and it have all necessary files to make CHM.
Since I needed uncompiled files then I just ended here but you can go ahead and compile to CHM
I'm trying to install a Yii application with the latest framework to date on wampserver2.2.
I edited the .bat file to match the directory of my php /bin folder and added this as a value to the path variable.
However I seem to be unable to run yiic from the commandline. Im trying this on a windows 7 professional OS but to no avail. If i fire up yiic.php it opens the file in a notepad window. If I try to run the .bat file, the cmdline returns that it can not open the input file c:\wamp\framework\yiic
What should I do to make yiic run from the commandline? I think I completed all the necessairy steps but could be easily overlooking something.
If someone could come up with an answer that would be great.
Two things:
Make sure you are running yiic.bat, and not just yiic (which is the Linux shell script). There are two files in the directory, and your error (can not open the input file c:\wamp\framework\yiic) looks like you are using just yiic, the Bash script.
As #schmunk mentioned in the comment on the question, you can just call yiic.php directly with the PHP CLI. That is what the yiic.bat script is doing for you. :)
C:\wamp\framework> php yiic.php webapp C:\wamp\htdocs\myproject
